Good old Harry, the only person that can make you feel like 40 grand isn’t a lot of money
Nicest rich bloke by far
Whenever he mentions a reasonable price, I find myself adding the fees and VAT. Which is a sure sign I am not a rich man.
It isn’t really.
It's a priority thing isn't it? There are people who probably earn £25k and live with their parents who finance a £70k car.
Yep, he's becoming more and more like that. Harry, who spanked £120k on an old jag, another £100k+ on 2 Lambos and then another £100k on an old Lancia...so I guess £40k to him is a bargain!
Now I normally dont comment on TH-cam videos but I kinda have to here. My father actually owns a 1977 308 GTB that is finished in the exact same spec as the one you showed here. Although a left hand drive example, it is in the same shade of green metallic called Verde Medio Metallizzato combined with the Tan interior and used to belong to Don Vesco. Now he had it painted white but luckily someone later repainted the car to match its original factory colour. It eventually made its way into my fathers garage with around 120k miles on the clock. We still take it out for weekend drives if the weathers nice enough. What an insane coincidence as I thought there wouldnt be another one like it, let alone in the exact same specification!
Love a green Ferrari
@@pj9375 All Ferraris make me green!
120k, must be the highest mileage one out there
Those two flood salvage Virages are an absolute steal, especially at such low mileages
I'd love the gold Virage, beautiful interior, nice price
I suspect Harry's exposure has bumped them up considerably
Stunning cars... but I imagine will require a significant sum to sort.
@@Nick-vp7lp Yea exactly, they are steal if you can do any necessary work yourself!
I could retire on 40k
Another dream list. Always look forward to these auction videos. Thanks as always Harry.
The depth of knowledge to know/remember that the 10v Quattro sounds better than the 20v. Priceless…..
That Lotus Esprit is an absolute beauty. Yellow car - gently thumps other posters.🤜😉
TVR 440R!!!! Amazing! That's a rare beauty.
ok, I get this TVR!
I remember years ago when I was young my dad had had a 4.2 Cerbera and we went to a TVR meet which was class. As soon as a Typhon unexpectedly pulled up, it had such a presence
Harry the Biposto Abarth, I was the first owner, kept it for five years, did many track days, and had great fun. I sold it through Ellani Cars of Chepstow, unfortunately, the guy who bought it, put revolting leather and horrible silly stripes. I fitted a German CAE quick shift, NOT an Abarth Dog Box.
That's quite a big deal if it's advertised as having the dog ring box option!
The TVR's steal the show for me. The T350 is absolutely gorgeous, so pretty, and the 440R is a wild thing looking like an alien from the front. A lot gets said about Aston and Ferrari making 'beautiful' cars but there aren't many better looking than those, and they seem to get better with age. Still razor sharp.
How has no one with REAL money and a passion for cars properly resurrected that brand and restored it to former glory? Seems criminal to me. I know some guy bought it and was launching a new V8 model a few years ago but then got cold feet, had issues with funding and then considered going electric or something? What a mess.
Anyway, I sometimes go back and binge watch the previous Harry auction walkarounds... I just love the special and unique cars with the interesting insights. My not-so-guilty pleasure.
Hopefully the Resurrection of the company will come to fruition.
I was surprised how nice that wood trim looked inside that Porsche 😮
I saw your comment and was waiting for the car to come up. I agree, it looks extremely good. Between that and the tan leather it gives the interior a much softer, warmer look. Considering probably 90% have black leather with either stainless or carbon trim it’s a nice change
The tvr 440... ❤ Imagine opening your garage with that thing sat in there. Major want.
Harry is the greatest! The final TVR is quite something..as are the 2 Astons with a sad back story.
I'd love to see another video after the auction, featuring the same cars, and the final hammer prices!
Your enthusiasm is infectious.
Can't fault you!
OMG a V12 1970's Range Rover ! Sensational ! ❤
Love the Hawker Hunter in the background 😊
What's to love about it? Military cosplay?
Awesome aircraft
@@johnsmith1474 It helped maintain your freedom. Maybe give it some credit.
@johnsmith1474 its British and looks awesome. Respect should be shown.
Also, it looks like its in the car park, as if someone has just rolled up in it!!
That Lotus Esprit is an absolute beauty))))
The camera work is a standout. Excellent showcasing of the next car with subtle sweeps 👍👍👍
Final TVR just one of the most gorgeous vehicles ever produces
my choice would be the yellow Esprit 2.2 16:21 such nice value and a great car to have in the garage for that weekend buzz 🤩love Harry's auction videos, but an hour long video would be nicer to watch...so many nice cars🙄
Less is more
I love these episodes. Some absolutely wonderful machines here, as always. Thanks Harry
The press car Sierra Sapphire Cosworth takes me back. I read Car Magazine in those days religiously. One of my favourite articles was taking a Group A Sapphire..... shopping 😂.
I will always associate the Sapphire Cosworth with ram raids in the 90's
Brilliantly quick turn around on getting this out, Harry. Cheers
I think that colour on the 308 is the best I've ever seen on one. A stunning car.
I love TVRs, always wanted one, I'm hoping to get a 350i Wedge one day soon, its the only one that is somewhat within my budget.
YES
There were a lot of cars I wished I would have bought 10-15 years ago. Before me and my wife bought our house there was a 4th gen Supra turbo for $18,000. I recall NSX’s were $25,000-$30,000 for years. TVR’s were also pretty cheap for years as well.
Love the rain 🌧
Always enjoy your auction previews!
The Missing need to be found, and your work towards this important task is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
That abarth 695 special was about £50k new 😮
I'm going to bid on the white Jensen Interceptor.
I'll have the Esprit please.
Read the EVO issue with the TVR T400 so many times and went straight to my nearest dealer and placed an order for a Typhon. Was going to be supercharged, sequential box etc.... Obviously never happened and got my deposit back in the end. Such a shame
Ahh proper Friday viewing, thanks!
Paused the video twice, once to check my bank balance and the second time to see what the interest is on a loan
😂😂😂😂😂
I’ve got an old Corgi model of the Fulvia with a side opening bonnet.
Love these auction videos
I cannot believe how cheap those AMs are.... It's unbelievable. Amazing collection of cars. I think my favourite one is the last TVR. To me they are like the English Lambo...just mental design, mental sound and crazy performance. I remember John Travolta was in a film with one and it stuck with me for years. Regards 😊
Wow! That Alfa Romeo 105 Series Coupe is my dream car!❤
Thanks for taking us along Harry, the stuff dreams are made of for sure.
These are my favourite.
Thanks Harry, I want every car there lol
I felt certain the midnight purple R33 would be overlooked when I saw it next to the Escort, and I was wrong. Good on you Harry for recognising this icon!
I would look amazing in that TVR. I've wanted one of those since I seen the first one.
Thanks Harry, another wishlist of classics to aim for.
Thanks a lot for a remarkable overview
love these videos harry,cheers
These are my favourite vids on this channel. Please do them more.
That Tuscan R is incredible - what eventually became the Typhon. Very rare - £130K seems like a steal. Absolute weapon.
Some great cars for auction there. Great video.
Love to hear these vids
wow that TVR is spectacular!
Amazing array of beautiful cars
thank you Harry
Very enjoyable thank you
Hi Harry.. Love all these auction revues of yours. Nice to walk through all these rare, beautiful cars. Living in Denmark im sure to never see cars like that.. Love it.. Huge fan of your channel, by the way.. Thank You..
Maybe plan a trip to goodwood?
Them 2 Aston martins are the ones to buy
Came from 6d Diesels, what a fantastic finish! Well done 👍
24:35 now THATS A CAR ! Beautiful and unique
TVR's are finally being recognised and appreciated for the mad mad hatter levels of British engineering
Great video Harry, those Virages look a bargain!
What's!!!!!!!!!!!!! The AM V12 Swap !!!!!!! 🤩🤩🤯🤯🤪🤪✨✨
Purple GTR please. No, wait, the yellow Esprit. Dammit, no, the Batmobile. Argh, definitely the white RS500. Luckily my budget is only MOT-fail Lada.
Omg the 440 tvr what a beauty
As a lifelong Rolls-Royce enthusiast, I can't understand why not more customers clicked on the wood option for the 997. In a world of plastic, the burr walnut interior was one of main attractions to RR/B cars when I first became interested in them in the 80s. Top end cars used to have wood, and it's not just a British thing. Mercedes-Benz had extraordinary woodwork in the 1930s, and on to the 220 S cabriolet of the late 1950s, with wood trim full up to RR standards.
Would love to have a Porsche with a wood interior one day.
Not everyone's favourite choice, to be honest.
Perfect Lotus Esprit
WOW What a blast. Italian spirit full on.
I love listening to Harry whenever he's telling his viewers about the cars he's looking at. Just imagine if Top Gear, in it's early years, just had only Harry and Jeremy Clarkson as it's Presenters, it would have been even more heavenly to watch! 😊
Brilliant event ❤
G848 DKB was my first Sapphire Cosworth, bought new from Peoples Liverpool via an ad in the Sunday Times. Always remember the elderly 'trade plates' delivery driver telling me "Be careful, it is bloody fast" as I gave him a lift back to Chippenham railway station. #goodolddays
Harry,
Your at it again man, we just get over wanting one auction lot of cars then up you pop dangling more lovely memories, 'dream cars' and 'bugger I should have bought one of those' once agian!
Shame there are so many noughts after the guide prices!
Thank you Harry for telling us about the trends and values in this upcoming auction. I am also doing this comment because im one of the 2279 at the moment likers and with this comment my identity is shown.
Esprit 2.2 yeah
😮gorgeous cars😊
Great selection
Harry you say the only thing missing in the bus Aston Martin was the steering wheel. I looked at it today and the interior has been thrown back in with a lot of trim missing. noticeable the HEAD LINING. AND HALF THE CARPET.
I could blow an entire lottery win at that auction!😃 I love Harry's enthusiasm for the styling and purity of the early 308 GTB compared with the later models. You could say that of so many cars these days. For sheer craziness and exclusivity per £, that Aston engined classic Range Rover is off the scale!😂👍👍
Great video Harry, hoping to get my 21 year lister Le Mans restoration finished end of Summer then take a slow drive
Down to one of these auctions
That 308GTB is gorgeous in the metallic green. Just the most beautiful car ever designed.
Absolutely. I also think the early cars look better than the later 308’s and 328’s. They were pretty affordable for years. I remember seeing them in the $20,000-$30,000 range
Nice one Harry, you seemed to have bumped into a very tidy treasure trove there! That R8 would sit nicely in your fleet;)
Magic, some big numbers.
Harry, how could you walk past that MG T-type and dive in on a Ford Escort RS 2000 (imagine!) without even mentioning that beautiful MG! I'm amazed!
Totally agree! Was Harry paid to feature certain cars?
The Quattro and the 6R4 please :)
15:11 that is stunning
Those TVRs look fantastic. Love Harry's story from EVO. I guess TVRs haven't been available in the US for decades, not since they were sold here as Griffiths
with Ford V8s. My dad had one in the 60s. It was brutal; 0 to 60 in first gear in 4 seconds. Funny how Harry has a passion for so many boxy little Ford Cortinas, walking past a stunning MG TC without so much as a glance. Love his personal gentleman farmer style, so much more engaging and homey than the other prating critics, though I was shocked to hear him use the word "epic" on one occasion - every other word out of Shmee's mouth! The word should be reserved for Beowulf and the like. The only match for Harry's unassuming grace in car talk is Jay Leno.
I didn't see a Cortina in this video.
Everyone loves to talk about the R8 V10 but there was something about the sound and transmission of the V8 version that made me prefer it. Sure it's down on power but I'd never need all that power and acceleration anyway.
Harry .. thank you
A shame that you ignored what appeared to be a race prepared Rover SD!.
Harry can't do every car you know.🤯
@@goldieandblackie I know but he covered umpteen Ford Sierras. I thought the SD1 was sufficiently rare to merit a mention.
Agreed!
@@keithsanders6554 I'm wishing on a dream.(Rose Royce)
I always loved the SD1 as well. I know they were pretty affordable for years and years. Are they still reasonably cheap or are they getting out of reach ?
A very eclectic selection.
Just love this guy)))
7:44 that's actually seems like a nice interior to be in!
This is far better than the IMSA race I turned off.
Really enjoyed that walk through , don’t get the high prices for the fords , but there you go , loved the Tuscan
I was thinking the same. £40,000 for a Dagenham dustbin!
porsche is stunning
In the states they refer to the “Barrett bump,” that cars sold at Barrett-Jackson get a higher price than they should due to the excitement, the rush of live auction. I wonder what the “Harry hype” does for a UK auction..😊
20:26 15-20k for a Aston Martin , seems quite cheap/good deal or am I wrong ?
We love a Harry's Garage auction walkaround.
Loads of lovely cars, Sierra's are from my youth, TME's from my 20's, but that Alfa..... 😍
Ah Harry tyre kicking!!! The best!
Harry another great video love your auction and show walks , keep up with great work, are you getting one of these. I would choose Nissan R34 :)
LEGENDARY
