@@TheLateBrakeShowHiya Johnny, thanks for a great video. I've had a life long love of Fords (cars, vans and trucks) so I'd love the transit, although it looks dull in grey. Also always loved classic mini's, so I was definitely drooling over the Wogan mini. Unfortunately one car you didn't have time to feature was the green mini with the large bonnet bulge, that looked great, but I fully appreciate you couldn't cover every car. Please keep up the great work.
I never considered Wogan giving it the 'VTEC yo!' Imagine getting chopped by a sleeper Mini and glancing over to see Tel at the helm! Sweet, sweet guy.
That vtec crx would be in my collection for sure. I done my apprenticeship at honda main dealer when they were about new right at the end of there run. I remember my first drive in one and i was in love. The best one was a 4 year old car done 110k miles and thrashed every day and that car never let him down and it was the fastest one i have ever driven by some way because they love a good thrashing and they are all the better for it. Love it. ❤️
I've owned two Lotus Sunbeams in my time and absolutely loved them. My first was moonstone and black stripe and totally original.. My second one was Black with silver stripe. Re upholstered in original fabric. My choice still, every time. They're so much understated and can easily be upgraded to plus 200 bhp..
I was the sales manager at Snowdon Honda back when that CRX was new, cracking vehicle…if you look carefully at the back it still has the dolphin decal that was the logo for Snowdon…..
As a Honda fan, that CRX is a rare find, most were modified so to see a stock one is one of a kind. Great car for someone. Cheap at 10K and money will be safe in that for sure.
I owned the supercharged Monaro a couple of years back, absolute epic car! It's as clean underneath as it is on top. Awesome to drive, 4000 rpm is when it really comes on cam! Happy days.😁👌
That Talbot Sunbeam Lotus is so cool, never mind that Mk1 Escort which was clearly a very late one on an N plate. I often wonder what ever happened to my mates Chevette HS he and a mutual friend both had. They were excellent Q cars 👍🏻
Had both a Lotus Sunbeam (ex ICE Motorsport) and Chevette HSR (ex Dave Harris hillclimb & sprint record holder). So exciting and so much more pure than modern cars with power steering, ABS and several hundred extra kilograms!
If you are ever “in the market” for a fun toy do treat yourself to a Sunbeam Lotus. Sold mine - after hugely expensive restoration and a Graham Hickman 220BHP engine - for just £5,500.😢😢😢 Should never have let it go - new owner on the Isle of Man turned it into a full Works Replica. It was a brilliant car, so pure and lively and at 810kg very fast. In sprints the only Escort faster was Mike Cross (Jaguar handling etc. Development Chief) on slicks. You’d love It!
@@TheLateBrakeShow4 left?! You are kidding. My old neighbour in the UK had a maroon Cav turbo and a Calibra in a colour called Northcape, it was a Mouve shade and absolutely amazing in sunlight

I went from a Daihatsu Charade GTti to an identical CRX that I kept for 8 years and then traded for the Lotus Elise 111S in 2001 that I still have. The CRX probably has seen paint as they went rusty around the sliding steel sunroof and if not fixed the drainage channels inside the body could rot out.
Some lovely cars there, that 635, wow. One thing which makes me cringe a little is seeing these cars on wet long grass. I can imagine them wheelspinning and getting stuck and throwing mud everywhere,. That would seriously piss me off. Good video Jonny
28:00 Wogans Mini looks the nadgers! I NEED it, i NEED it!!!! What a lovely Mini, exterior looks very tidy but that interior is staggeringly impressive. Just like Terry Wogan himself! Both are true LEGENDS of their time!
Awesome walk around. Lovely to see some Monaro coverage :) Absolutely second that rust protection underneath and in the cavities, make sure it's done correctly as the chassis rails can rot from the inside out! Other upgrades that transform the car other than the short shifter is the pedders quick rack, AP racing brakes and some decent suspension upgrades. Turns a relatively blunt instrument into a weapon. Love the content Jonny.
Thank you for this comment. Sadly too many cars like Monaros have their underneaths neglected, so folks polish the paint and don't realise it's rotting beneath the body kit.
Some tempting cars there, in the background also but if I was in the market for another car then it would be the honda pick-up first and if I was feeling flush then wogan's mini ! Great episode again, I'm gonna dream a little and watch the auction tomorrow, thanks for the heads up mate 👍

A brilliant episode Jonny for me it has to be the Sunbeam Lotus.
If you get chance to drive a 964 Carrera 2 Coupe. You will know ,youll do whatever it takes to own one 😀. I owned a 3.8 Carrera S 997 for years and although a great car with that "special" feeling and sense of occasion. The 964 is just a different league altogether . All the charm and looks with it G body shell, but a better sounding larger capacity 3.6 litre engine . Better and more forgiving suspension . You really do not need another car to get that true, authentic, raw driving experience combined with total useability
Don’t worry Jonny. I’ve never seen the crown either. Probably too busy watching the‘Late brake show’❤. Oh do not convert the Rolls silver cloud to EV please. I would give you 6 months in jail for that. By all means convert the Bedford camper even the little Fiat 500 but let that Roller purr ❤
considering how expensive it is for both seller and buyer to be at an auction, it seems a bit 'low rent' to have the viewing in a cramped little field with a very small tent. Hi Jonny, the Japanese have been building great cars of which one I own and and comes standard with a rear window wiper, which you continue to run down every car that has one.
