I’m the same where I just like every song they put out, this is probably a 6 or 7/10 but some people reacting to this song are being way too harsh and critical. Just happy to have new music!
Parkway Drive is amazing. They experiment on each album but then you always get those "Parkway Drive" sounding songs. I'd bet this is just a more pop/popular single from the album, and I would expect more of their typical sound we are used to on the album. Or they are just throwing a single out there to test the waters on a new sound.
Love the reaction. I have two band that I really love and that is Parkway Drive and Dimmu Borgir and both getting a lot of stick when they evolve and do new stuff. I like this song, its made to be played at big arenas like Wacken. I read somewhere that the old sound was not good when they started playing in bigger arenas and that was the main reason for changing it to sound good live.
Parkway Drive has been here to the States many of times before already. I saw Parkway Drive on Warped Tour on the main stages. I saw them years ago back when they were still a metalcore band. I saw them headline a small club/venue tour they were on at the time as well.

And man metal fans are both the best and worse - Winston struggled a fair bit last few tours here in Aus with his vocals it was absolutely heart breaking…so yeah cmon man he has to change up he can’t do KWAS or as you said Deep Blue vocals But man Darker Still is a beautiful underrated album

Several of the band members are having a very hard time with mental health issues which is why they had to cancel their tour. Parkway Drive as a whole is not doing well. We can only hope the band is able to stay together at this point. Also I actually LOVE this new song Laura! It is soo chuggy and awesome. \m/
The hate Metallica got for the black album that is now beloved by millions just shows how first impressions by diehards are to be taken with a grain of salt
Can't lie, Parkway is absolutely a top 5 for me as well but this song just felt a little underwhelming to me to be in the works for 4 years. Appreciate it for what it is just not my cup of tea, which is fine. Maybe I might like other stuff on the upcoming album.
Are you going to do anymore Meshuggah? You only did bleed and broken cog in one video. You should react to the whole entire immuable album it’s fire. Don’t just stop after two Meshuggah songs there’s a lot more to get out other than immutable Edit: come on now Edit2: I don’t care if you have to separate the videos for each meshuggah song.
My favorite band since college in 2008. They don't make bad music. Love this song. I don't mind the changes, nothing wrong with it at all.
