My favorite part is when death kneels at the end of the little girl. Even death is humbled by the passing of a child....but at least she gets to be reunited with her dog. This is truly a beautiful video.

And what i personally love in this is that even though they show supernatural being (death) they don't portray that their souls go to heaven or similar but rather simply they portray them becoming pure energy again and giving it back to nature where it was borrowed all the time.

Dude it's a follow up to wishing wells. This is Winston accepting the death of his dad. It's in direct contrast to wanting to wishing wells where he curses God and loses his faith. It literally makes the song 10 better knowing that.

  • @bryanlacount7551

When you look at what Parkway Drive has been through in the last 7 years, the death of Architects guitarist Tom Searle to cancer who they were touring with, soon after the band lost a very close friend to cancer, and around that time Winston lost his dog Monty to cancer. They've been hit in the face with death, the pandemic, internal issues and family issues. These guys are a power house, they channel that anger, pain, hate, frustration, anguish and dread in a way that most can't. I think this new album will be a darker and deeper continuation of Reverence. With Glitch and now The Greatest Fear, I can already tell there's a definite deep heavy story about to be told.

This is actually in direct contrast to wishing wells. We all know that was Winston's writing his feelings towards his dad passing away. If you've ever lost anyone special to you unexpectedly a natural reaction is to curse gods name....That's a legit stage of grief. Pwd just made it into a badass song. This is a follow up. Showing acceptance of and even an appreciation for what's beyond this life and the force that takes us there....death. This song is metal af.

"He's the shadow on the wall" ..a few years ago, I was casually walking through my apartment and noticed a particularly fiery sunset light appear on a wall like i've never seen before with my shadow - a shadow - standing in the midst. I immediately froze because I sensed the shadow staring back at me and reading my thoughts in the bright red and orange canvas. I stayed there until the bright sunset light and shadow faded and I sensed everything return to normal. Sometimes, I really do wonder if there wasn't something "beyond" happening in that moment. This band is one of the best to ever do it and deserve more credit from the mainstream industry. This band has done everything from get me thru depression to hype me up to battle in a foreign land. Thank you parkway drive for being who you are

This band just drops bangers like it's the simplest task in metal.....and this video is epic.

I appreciate these guys from the beggining and I have much admiration to them for reaching the perfect balance between heavy and harmony.
For sure, they became one of the best bands so far.
(sorry for any mistakes, I'm driking and appreciating this)

That's what the last generation said about the generation after them, and then this generation will say about the next one. Pick a side already
