that scene where the hero has his little flashback in his hometown while talking to the woman, is honestly one of my favorite scenes, i love how they integrated the flashback into the present conversation, even now, as clunky as it looks, the transition is solid, and i love it
To this day that ptsd flashback the hero of oakvale has is one of the greatest little cutscenes of all time. That’s how you build a character without a voice
@@SinjinBarrettit just went to shoe how much they cared about the detail. You watched your whole family and village get slaughtered as like a 5 year old boy and it shows that night is still haunting your hero, especially when you finally go back to where it happened
@@jagaloon14 Sure, maybe ijust dont get his point, its just ive found many other cutscenes much better. Like his sister's flashbacks. Or when he meets Jack. I feel like those had a bigger impact than a random girl you got a teddy for.
It was good for when we don’t know he’s the guy who destroyed Oakvale and our family. After that the new voice is good to show Jack isn’t human and has been deceiving us and all other humans.
It's been so long since I've played fable and I was thinking how odd it was that I remembered his voice being so different so I'm so glad you made me realize I wasn't crazy lol. BTW I definitely like the original voice better
@David Cheney OK but just look at Jack. At first Glance, you can tell he's sinister. Even his tone of voice is evil. His first interaction with you is asking to to kill Whisper. This guy is evil without doubt.
The stealth section was never a problem for younger me, because I became rather good at decapitating bandits with arrows. Can't imagine how frustrating it would be to actually sneak past all of em.
used to get me all the time too, very frustrating. but in the anniversary you can just run past them all, get the alarm sounded then kill them and the game wont put you back at the start.
Fable was such a big part of my childhood, I love it. It was pretty much first "new" game on "new" pc for a kid, who only played 2d games from 90s before, like starcraft, homm3 or warcraft 2 and diablo 2. And when I found out not only you can make "evil" choices, but they also affect things? My mind was blown to pieces.

There are other channels that do retrospectives, but each one seems like a critic trying their best to find the flaws in an older game. I believe that is the difference and what makes me love these so much. You give the games the benefit of the doubt, even when the game has flaws but you never let that get in the way of the big picture, the concept the game is putting forth. Proud of you son. Seriously.
A side note. Some of the side quests you completed prior to killing Jack the first time were also part of the lost chapters. The game was a little bare before the dlc came to life, but it didn't stop me from completing it hundreds of times before the dlc came to be. The greatest disappointment from the original was getting the sword of aeons and having absolutely no reason to have it. The game was over, everything worth killing was dead. Enflame is the best spell in game. It's DPS is just insanely high, even when compared to other spells, like Infernal Wrath and Divine Fury. This is because I can cast Enflame like 7-10 times in the time it takes to cast Wrath/Fury even once, almost tripling or even quintupling the overall damage. In simple words Enflame/Physical Shield combo is broken OP

Great video, this game is nostalgic but man does it still hold up for me. The main menu music for fable the lost chapters is still one of the best tracks in a game for me, it's called summer fields for those who want to listen to it
For the stealth part of the Twinblade mission, your guile skill doesn’t matter. The clothing you wear determines how visible you are to the AI. Wearing the Assassin clothing reduces your visibility. By the time you’re at that part of the game, 3/4 of the outfit are available to you through exploration and shopping (gloves, boots and shirt). With those equipped, you’re able to run through the bandits without issue

Between legacy of kain and dmc, that I'm now starting my 10 year old daughter on they're gonna love it.
@@YourFavoriteSon1 be great and fearless always.... son
As a teen i brought a xbox one because i wanted that cancled fable game only to learn it was cancled months after
Id played though fable 3 more times then i can remember as a kid, i loved the game
I married lady grey, because i was a man of culture in 2004 (14 at the time).
When I was 6 yrs old, my cousin recommended me to augment an ebony bow & aim for the heads of bandits instead of sneaking by.
I find it strange that people find anniversary edition to be more pleasing to the eye. looks muddy, sad and weird when compared to a cozy original vision.
Nice! Another video, you're doing a great job son proud of you
Now this is an epic video. Thank you for making it possible to relive this masterpiece again! :)
My favorite is fable the lost chapters I didn't have the anniversary edition though. My favorite route was evil route. I felt so amazing and cool once I got the mask at the end. God that shit was so edgy and cool xD
And here I was just recently thinking wonder what his next video is going to be and then you pull out this That's my boy I knew there was a reason you were my favorite son
This is a great video very well researched. I appreciate that you took the time to show both perspectives of this game. If you enjoy Kotor or Kotor 2 I think this style could work well with those games.
Well get there dad!
Love the new format, and I think it'll allow you to grow faster this way. Also, not having to edit 5 hours of content together should be a touch less taxing on your mental health too. Keep it up boyo, and stay awesome!
Woaw already a new vid? Amazing. Thanks son.
Or you just headshot with a bow and walk on through
@yourfavouriteson Hey dude, your work is appreciated. We like what you are doing. Me and my brother loved your soul reaver review. Would you be so kind as to review Elder Scrolls series from first game to skyrim.
It's on the list dad
i love that the algorithm randomly suggested this video to me, fable is my favourite game series, and I absolutely agree with most of your points, I only really disagreed on your point in fable 2, when you said the choices in fable 2 arent obvious, maybe its because I have been playing the game since launch, but although its not down to the point of this is good this is bad, I still think it was pretty obvious which was the right answers to go for on a good play through, I love this channel and have been watching all your other videos and hope you get the subscribers you deserve
Loving these vids! Keep it up can't wait to see what's next! Would love to see you try to tackle the resident evil or silent hill franchises. Haha would be a nice long vid or good multiple part vids haha
I'm really glad got to watch your channel. Just finish watching Retrospective on Legacy of Kain 🤩
Welcome dad!
Keep up the good work, young man.
After seen that deform child on the very start I do remember why I uninstalled and never gave that game a chance...
I did try to give the 3th a try back in the day but game was so CPU intensive that my PC wasn't up to the task.
I loved the Fable games!! Jack of Blades's voice is done perfectly. That voice is the voice of evil. Could you imagine a heroic character out of fiction, like Dante in Devil May cry, with that voice?! People would attack him just on his voice alone.
But, why does Theresa sound like she's about to become a deathbed companion that gives the best hugs?
Its a real shame that you're as small of a youtuber as you are. I really enjoy the content that you've made so far (Particularly your DMC retrospective). I really hope you start getting some more views and subs, because this is some awesome work here, son.
In due time Dad.
