    Hey Charles,
I am from Germany. My brother is in a band and the bassist left the band a while ago because he had to move in a far away city due to a new job. My brother asked me several times if I want to join them, but I have no bass yet. I can play the guitar, so the learning process should be a bit quicker I guess.
You are a huge inspiration for every musican I know in person regardless wich instrument they are playing.
Keep up the great work Charles :)

I played guitar in the mid 70’s. Richard Mason was my tutor.
Then life happened. I gave it up to follow a career in engineering
I always had it in my mind to retire one day and play again
Then in 2003 i had a mv accident that basically left me a quad
Took me 14 months to recover
Sequestrated and divorced i carried on and submerged myself in expat lonely lifestyle to survive
My 10 year sequestration went from 2005-2015 so never really had time to build up a retirement kitty proper
Now in my 60’s i would really really like to play even tho my legs are wooden from the knees down and my hands and fingers do not have too much feeling
I can just say i truly enjoy your playing and watch yourself, Marcin and Luca
    You guys inspire me
I have the regret of never continuing something i always loved : playing the guitar
So i can tell all of you reading this, take EVERY OPPORTUNITY to follow your dreams and make them happen.
You never know when your life is going to change in the blink of an eye and you may have regrets
    Take care
    Keep on keeping on
    Heads up
    Eyes open
    No fear
All the way from South Africa

Well, I thought about trying to get this bass but my bass stands right next to me and it is a pretty good beginner bass with even more frets than the bass you could win here. So for me there is actually no real point in taking part in this lottery. Especially now that i have heard this story, I would not appreciate getting this bass myself as much as knowing, that someone like C C got it. So if my opinion even matters and if it is possible, i would vote for this guy to get the bass instead of taking part myself. If not, I still wish you all the best and good luck from Germany.
I am sorry for the bad English.

    Hi I'm from Germany!
The bass lines always were what I liked the most about many songs.. Theres so much variety to it and it sounds so cool or funky. I've recently (maybe due to covid) really gotten into watching countless TH-cam videos of people playing it...and I really want to learn it myself.. It would be a way to escape the stress from studying for exams and experience music on another level than just trough my headphones.

    Country: United States
Reason: I've never liked stringed instruments in my life, and though I was fine with typical stringed instruments in a symphony orchestra like violin, cello, etc., I was never into the sound of guitar/bass at all. After watching Davie's video where you were introduced to me, I was at first intrigued by the sheer skill with all the techniques despite my lack of knowledge regarding bass. After I started following your videos, I realized that bass can be an awesome instrument that sounds beautiful, which also helped me to appreciate guitars more (I have added composers' guitar sonatas to my classical playlist since). Though I'm mainly a classical listener, I got to know of awesome bassists like Victor Wooten and Michael Manring through you. I play piano, but bass is definitely something I would now love to get into, though I'm not sure how good I can get when I'm already 20 years old :/. Nonetheless, I'll continue to enjoy your videos Charles, thanks for opening up the world of bass to me.

So, I had a friend share your video the other day with you playing Californication. I was blown away by it. Your abilities are off the charts and your mind for it too, it just brought me back to when I played bass. I always wanted to play and for my 13th birthday my mother took me to a pawn shop to buy a bass. A four string sunset casino, I loved it. The feel, the sounds, and the joy I got playing it. Well, many years later, I'm 28, and I haven't played a bass in years on years. Watching the Billboarr Music Awards with my girlfriend off recording and here comes Duran Duran to play, for whatever reason they made me want to play bass, just the groves in their music always hit me, and it was the bass, I had to play. Well I told my girlfriend that story and this was already after I saw your amazing video and many more when I went down the rabbit hole. Now all I keep coming back to is what are the chances? I see your video, your giving away a bass, and then later on I'm watching my TV and the band that inspired me to ever pick up a bass in the first place is on, it's crazy to me. But, I finally got the courage to just write it all out, because it just doesn't happen like that always.
Thank you for reading and thank you for the consideration.

I live in America, and I’ve always enjoyed the sound of a bass. I’ve always been studying music and I’m still really young so I want to figure out as much as I can at a young age. I went to a guitar center recently and decided to try out a bass and as I played one note my heart jumped and my eyes brightened. It was a beautiful sound. Although I’ve heard basses before I’ve never heard a bass in person and it was pleasant. My birthday is also coming up on June 17th so it would make as a great birthday present! Even if I didn’t get the bass, I will still love your videos and enjoy your playing! (Also I’ve been watching your channel for a month now but apparently I haven’t been subscribed, lol. As a multi-instrumentalist, he’s truly a great musician. Unfortunately, he operated mostly in the shadows of Plant, Page, and Bonzo to an extent, but without his contributions, LZ isn’t LZ. My father spent his prime slapping his way through London in a fairly famous funk/rock hybrid band during the 90's, he passed away before I could meet him or listen to him play. All I've got in terms of his musicianship is one CD with 4 songs on it, and just those 4 have inspired me to want to play like he does, and how YOU do. Nothing would mean more to me than following in my dads footsteps and playing the bass using a bass once owned by the greatest bassist on the internet. Thanks Charles.
