    So many cave divers together and they don’t even come close to crashing into each other or silting it up. They have such incredibly relaxed buoyancy control… like an underwater synchronized ballet. 🙌 Leagues ahead of me. Amazing to watch. 😮🔥

      I aspire to become as good as these divers. I work so I can only dive on weekends or on vacation and I just became certified in June so I haven’t had time to rent gear and go out but I’m saving to do that next year for a trip to Florida when my vacation time comes in. During that week I plan to practice my buoyancy and trim. Afterwards I hope to be able to go out once every month or two to do a few dives in my local quarries to continue practicing. Eventually I aim to become cave certified after going through the other certifications I will need. Cave diving is so beautiful!

    That number of lights had that cave lit up amazingly. You never get a clear and pure view of the entire room like that. That was gorgeous. Until they did the coordinated lights I was wondering if they had some massive flood light set up for filming but then they moved at once and you saw the darkness to the unlit sides and realized it was just the sheer number of divers and their lights making that awesome view possible. I mean imagine the difference between a two or three person team and the incredible beauty this group got to witness first hand. Amazing. Thank you for showing us this guys.

    According to their video this is Cenote Nohoch Nah Chich. I didn't get to dive this one, as I'm not cave certified yet, but I did get to dive some of the cavern portions of the other nearby cenotes this past week, and all of them that I saw were just as beautiful as this. Thanks for the video!

    Okay, so. I've said many times that I would NEVER do a cave dive. I'm not really claustrophobic, but the thought of squeezing through a tiny hole, under water, just to get to another tight squeeze at a 90° angle sounds more like hell than a fun experience to me. And then having to repeat that to get back out. But this is something I would love to do, absolutely beautiful. And also, I'm 6'2" and some 245 lbs, so tight squeezing isn't my strong suite 😂 Love your content Gus and Woody.

    13:50 I’m just a happy atheistic open water diver, but I have felt that spiritual feeling twice. Once on a drift dive in Egypt, once on a dive in the Perhentian Islands in Malaysia. Both times I just sat silently in my kit back on the boat. Both times my buddies thought there was something wrong!To any non divers considering taking the giant stride- you don’t need to go to amazing caves like this (though I wish!). Give it a try. It’s a new universe just waiting for you.

    Since they are all open circuit, if a failure were to happen to anyone it’s really smart to have so many other divers that are using the same equipment.

    • @Yggdrasil42
      @Yggdrasil42 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      True but in general a cave diver is self-sufficient with their gas redundancy. Having other team members is good because then you also have redundant brains. Having a team that is this big can also cause problems however. Of course they only did it for this video. A usual team size is 2-3 divers.

I could see the beautfy of the cave objectively in your video and it made me realize how lucky I am to have these insanely beautiful caves nearby. It's Cenote Nohoch Nah Chich.
