This is honestly surreal. To think that when I joined the TAS community 3 years ago the 120 project had just entered BOB and is only now finally complete with that stage is really unbelievable. Great job to everyone involved, the final outcome of this star is just incredible!

@@cyan1280 From when the WIP first entered BOB until this video was uploaded, yeah it was about 3 years. But there were very long gaps during the progress for this specific star due to burn out, route testing/changes, waiting for completion of new TASing tools, improvements to previous stars, etc. All that combined with the massive undertaking this star requires, nobody was willing to TAS this star.

edit: Watched the old one. That's right, the chain chomp was a real nightmare last time... no wonder this part stood out to me. I also noticed you backflip out of the blj to the first of the 4 poles as well, never realized that's what was happening before since it's so fast. I was really blown away by this star the first time, but after watching the old one again, this one is just UNBELIEVABLY clean.

The last coin trick is so funny, litterally laugh in front of it xD I didn't expect beeing amazed after all we seen in the 2012 TAS abs after 25 years of glitches in sm64, by how much you can twist the game beyond his limits. Really can't wait to see the new one!! Keep it up guys!

How do you just cut that much
Maybe not super relevant to this video, but why doesn't double star spawn always work? Even in TASes I'll see: coint count = 98, 7 red coins collected --> Grab 8th red coin --> still get two star spawn cutscenes
That is because how it works is that collecting the 8th red coin makes the red coins star spawn 5 frames after, but collecting the 100th coin makes the star spawn instantly. This means that if you collect a red coin as your 100th, that makes the 100th coin star spawn instantly, then after 4 frames of gameplay the red coin star also spawns
what is the name of the glitch where you could transport the bob omb
instant release (holp was there because of king bob omb fight)
Is it at all possible to talk to koopa after he gets to the top a little sooner, it sorta looks like there's a fraction there where you can interact with him
As far as we know, nope. That's the fastest Koopa race pattern you can get, and it's pretty neat that we beat him by just about 2 frames :p

@@PlushSM64 :) I noticed it on some other video's as well so it might be worth to check those too.
@@PlushSM64 I think this is because youtube already shrinks links to an amount of characters and if this amount is reached, it adds 3 dots and cuts everything else. To avoid that you can use the auto description (somewhere in creator studio) so youtube will always fill it out for u when uploading.
