I’m so glad to see our church comments on this tv show, what’s for me one of the most beautiful tv series ever done about our beloved Jesus! I’m from Brazil and I’ve already seen all the seasons, looking forward the forth! God bless you all and may Jesus be found for many others around the world, even for this tv show, and lead them to search and find our Savior and His Word. 🙏

I just added video of Dallas Jenkins talking about his chosen show. He remarked that he hopes people will go to bible and find out for themselves. His father is Jerry Jenkins who wrote left behind series and many didn't go to the Bible to see what is truth.

I love the Chosen. This is the best show to share with our unbelievers and baby Christian friends. The first ever "Jesus show" that made me excited and eager to study my bible. God can do miracles/save lives through any person, organization or denomination if we're willing to plant seeds. Thank you pastor's for your always enthusiastic approach to the Gospel.

Brad Pelo said "the mission of The Chosen is not to be Scripture, its not to pretend that we know exactly how Jesus was like.. but to presented in a modern language." The Bible is clear on what Jesus was like. Then why is Ty saying the show is full of rich theology?

The Chosen is Jesuit theatre. The Director himself says "we are making a series on the life of Jesus where 95% of what is happening is never found in scripture".
It also has direct quotes in episodes from the book of mormon. The chosen is portraying a ecumenical/another jesus

Satan deceived unfallen angels that dwelt in the presence of God. We were made a little lower than the angels and are fallen. We need to be very, very careful. Especially pastors who are supposed to feed God's purchase.

Has anyone watched the episode on L.E.D. about this " Show " ....
Dallas Himself said that 80% of it is not from the Bible.
Jesus downplays obedience, and says that Joseph is in heaven, Nicodemus says that His mother is resting in peace.
There are discrepancies all over it...
These actors are praying to dead people....
There taking quotes from the book of Mormon.
Do I need to go on.
    This is insane people.
We need to be careful with our young people. Specially those that don't read there Bible. S.M.H.

Use this, not the other one: “FBY, found this (another topic):
    Judaizers’ true motives:
Social. This group embraced a separatist viewpoint. Elitists. These people believed the observance of the Law was necessary for salvation, including circumcision and Sabbath-keeping.
Much as an executive today might use a secretary to write his letters, a first-century author often relied on an amanuensis to compose his epistles. An amanuensis would take dictation from the author and put pen to paper, writing out the letter and making sure it was sent to its intended recipients. Sometimes the author gave an outline to the amanuensis and allowed him to come up with the actual prose, which the author later proofread and approved. Either way the named author himself usually wrote at least a short greeting at the end of the letter even if the amanuensis prepared the rest of the text.
Paul followed this custom as well. Tertius, for example, wrote with his hand the epistle to the Romans, though Paul (and through him the Spirit) authored its contents (Rom. 16:22). Today’s passage indicates that the apostle likely used an unknown individual as an amanuensis to write Galatians. He says in 6:11 that he is writing to his recipients with large letters, and since readers know the epistle is from Paul (1:1-5), this sentence is superfluous unless he is adding greetings to a letter for which he is the author but not the physical writer (see also 2 Thess. 3:17). His final comments are made entirely with large letters, a reference to Greek uncials (capital letters), conceivably for emphasis since this is the last chance he has in Galatians to define the perils of adopting the old Mosaic law.
These concluding comments in Galatians 6:11-18 summarize the epistle’s major themes and explicitly identify the Judaizers’ fear of persecution as what motivated them to insist on circumcising Gentile Christians (v. 12). As we saw weeks ago, first-century Jewish nationalists were apt to persecute any Jews who were seen as overly friendly to Gentiles. Jewish persecution of Christianity in those days often had more to do with the fact that ethnically Jewish Christians would not circumcise Gentiles than with the proclamation of Jesus as the Messiah. Forcing Gentile Christians to take on circumcision could be a good way for Jewish believers to prove their loyalty to Judaism and escape suffering. But to do this, Paul reminds his readers, was to deny the sufficiency of the cross, which levels the field for Jew and Gentile alike before God (3:28).
John Calvin says that for us, as for the Judaizers, “a dread of the cross” leads one “to corrupt the true preaching of the cross.” The Judaizers were afraid to stand up for what was scandalous in their day - that the cross removes distinctions within the people of God. Today it is a scandal to believe the distinctive acts of Jesus’ death and resurrection are the only way by which we can be reconciled to God. Let us be willing to die for that scandalous truth.
“It is those who want to make a good showing in the flesh who would force you to be circumcised, and only in order that they may not be persecuted for the cross of Christ” (v. 12).

Hey Ty, just found out about this, so just started on this, and you don’t like Christian movies out there. Just to let you know, it was those movies (though I didn’t know who Jesus was, or was I able to understand the movies, or any movies, the Christian movies was where I got converted. Though was lead by the HS (not knowing at the time) to the church, churches were a nightmare and destroyer of “faith.” Like you from what I saw online because you were screaming as church pp were, but didn’t know anything about Christianity or religion. Thankful for scholars online, got into the Word, more specifically Rev, and grew in reading and writing. Will watch this to see what these are about.

But are WE the ones that are supposed to be "filling in gaps"? Did God really leave "gaps"? Was God's word really that imperfect that requires us humans to stand up and finish the work more correctly or complete?

    • @MsGatoMeow
      @MsGatoMeow ปีที่แล้ว +4

God’s Word is not imperfect. But it takes on a rich, new meaning if we can better envision all that is taking place.
From Ellen White in Thoughts From The Mount Of Blessing: “Let us in imagination go back to that scene, and, as we sit with the disciples on the mountainside, enter into the thoughts and feelings that filled their hearts. Understanding what the words of Jesus meant to those who heard them, we may discern in them a new vividness and beauty, and may also gather for ourselves their deeper lessons.” MB 1.2

    • @triciaharr6987

It’s not even about if it is Mormon, Baptist or SDA, it’s almost like us trying to find out intricacies about God in human flesh that He has not revealed. It’s a portrayal of God by human standards not his… Job 11:7-20
      King James Version
7 Canst thou by searching find out God? canst thou find out the Almighty unto perfection?
8 It is as high as heaven; what canst thou do? deeper than hell; what canst thou know?
9 The measure thereof is longer than the earth, and broader than the sea.

Well why couldn't any book have the same power as the Bible? Good question. To a proven prophet, they do. Think in terms of redundancy in holography. The Bible is concentrated wisdom and edification. Logos and gnosis.

Dallas Jenkins is recorded saying 'I am making a show about Jesus where 95% of the content isn't from the bible.' Poetic licence or not, that is far too much to be making up about the life of Jesus and gives too much room for error in my opinion. What happened to The bible, The Living Word of God, being enough? Disappointed to see The Hope Channel endorsing this show.
