This series is nothing less than stunning. The Director states his approach from the beginning. The detailed and authentic use of the Old Testament connecting to the New Testament is amazing. We have been given special insight, yes, but the makers of this series are no doubt inspired and God is using them to get the Gospel out to millions.

I love the contrast between the power play of the pharisees trying to secure the most honored seat at the table, and Jesus respectfully waiting to be invited into Mary's home

I love the thought that just like in Creation, without Jesus, we are empty, formless, filled with 'darkness'.

So good !!!!!! I’ve watched the series countless times but you’ve unpacked moments I missed . I realize the series isn’t perfect but wow it’s opened my heart wider and deepened my walk with the Lord astronomically.

I also like when the blind man reaches out and grabs Gaius asking him if he is the Messiah, Gaius pulls away and makes "peace" through force in the market. The Jewish mindset was Messiah would bring peace through force against Roman, but this scene shows that peace through force is not driven by love but by fear. Everyone fell silent and was fearful. Jesus was not going to bring peace through fear, it is brought through love and love, true love, cannot be obtained through force.

Let us not be too rigid like the very religious Pharisees and miss the Holy Spirit and the Messiah when he comes again. “Pharisees” is derived from Hebrew word “Parsha” (meaning “portion” in the context of portion of many daily hours and hours of Torah & scripture commentary study. Texas in the house y’all.

I totally agree. The Chosen introduces people to get more aquainted wit Jonathan Roumie's necromancy practices (which the Bible highly condemns), rosary, ecumenism etc.
As SDA we should not promte The Chosen.
Get your picture about Jesus from the Bible and books like The Desire of ages, not from Jonathan Roumie.
It doesnt lead people to read the Bible, rather the desire for Television will be encouraged, which downplays the effort to dig deep into the Bible with effort.
