Patio Door Lubricant? Not, But it works!

I found using some paraffin wax, tea candle, on my sliding glass door actually worked better than anything else I've tried.

Interesting. I just bought a patio door and the manufacturer says not to use silicon but instead furniture polish as it won't damage the door.
