The main story line is about the creation of the Royal Guard (they were originally just ordinary bodyguards from Dalarna) back in 1521 for Gustav Vasa and the liberation war from the Danes. But at that time Gustav Vasa has not yet to be king. He was crowned in June 1523 and I'd say that is when he assigned the men who had helped to be his royal guard.

This is about the skirmish at Bender. A battle shortly after poltave when the king of Sweden had fled to the ottoman empire. The ottomen eventually grew tired if the king and decided they wanted him captured. Carolus rex stood with 40 royal guards aginst 600 ottoman soldiers. For 7 hours they held the tide and the ottomen eventually had to resort to long range artillery and fire arrows to rob the Swedes of their fortifications. The royal guard made a valiant stand but eventually crumbeled to the impossible odds. When the king tripped in battle and was captured the battle was over. Still a hell of a legacy to face a force of 600 with only 40 men and forcing them to retreat and use artillery to get you.
Seeing as how the buildings were on fire at the end of the video, their last charge is likley a reference to the final stand of the 40 Swedish soldiers when the had to leave their fortifications and face their foe head on due to the fire arrows and artillery.

No, it is not. It is about when Gustav Eriksson went from Dalarna, in Sweden, to Stockholm in 1521 - to take the throne from king Christian of Denmark. With him he had 16 men who were his guard.

The Swedish part near the end rughly translates to: For Sweden through time, where er the king stands, they do what seems impossible, whatever the future might hold.
This solidifies what I think about the Swedish version being 'this is where they came from' and the English version very much being 'this is who they are to this day.'

I lived in Sweden till I was 15 and My brother was in the royal guard the most prestigious honor anyone could have in Sweden is being in the royal guard they teach about them in history class
I was also in the Royal guard in 1991, positioned on the Lejonbacken (Lions Hill) just outside the swedish kings castle. And I swear, I am on at least 10 000 photos in albums in Japan. 😅
They really loved taking photos of everything with cameras as big as bazookas.

This is the "Skirmish at Bender" after the Battle of Poltava where Charles XII of Sweden and his Royal guard defended themselves against an onslaught by the Ottoman Empire. 40 Swedish Soldiers defended themselves against many 100s of Ottoman Turks
The melody they use is actually a hymn that we ( sweden) often use at funurals or like when i was young we used so sing this song "Härlig är jorden" = Glorious is the earth at the last day of schol before every breaks like springbreak =)

Actually, no we dont. Its in war its called fatherland and when its gonna be pronounced as proper christians, no freedom of religion there. And thats 1 of the reasons 1/3 of swedes left for america when they had a chance. But during early days and long into early 90s Swedens 2nd name is Mother Svea, since major player in creating the nation was a tribe calling themselves Svear. Sverige in swedish is actually if were gonna go in detail called Svea rike(Kingdom of Svea)

I’d heavily recommend you do a longer react to a specific song by Sabaton named Firestorm. It isn’t a very talked about one, and it hold much more impact if you follow it’s watching by reacting to their sabaton history video.
It’s much more akin to speed metal and while it give you a powerful feeling, you also understand it’s lyrics.
