You have to bro. The 37 is a unicorn for dedicated controllers for FL with the LEAST SHIFT/Menu diving to be compared or combined w the FIRE...... Can't wait for THAT video.
Personally, not a fan of the mini keys, so I say, yes. Someone also told me there are a couple of extra functions that are not on the 25 key, so that is two. With a handful of other reasons, something tells me that you ordered it already, haha.
Ave thank you again. I bought the midstream pro go because of your video. Got fl studio because of you and flkeymini came today because of your video. Appreciate you bro big time.
If you press Shift+Note Repeat, Note Repeat will start flashing. Then you don't have to hold Note Repeat down. Then you can press the corresponding pad on the FL Key for your hi hats, piano, or any sound you have loaded. You can change the note repeat rate by pressing the appropriate key on the keyboard (1/4, 1/8, 1/16...etc) while holding only the pad down. Thanks for this video.
Man I REALLY like the sleek design of this. Super small or portable and the fact is is setup for FL is even better. I got the Novation Launchpad 2 which is one of my favs too
I love my 25 mini mk3 Bang for the buck Arp and mutate section is my fave Pads are super sensitive everyday Note repeat and scales would be so dope for Lk mini mk3 Cant have everything
they would have to do an overhaul of their software (which is exactly what they did releasing this) if they wanted a keyboard to be compatible w FL studio u can't just have both. Either full integration w ableton and only bare minimum functions for other daws or u have the inverse. Make a keyboard specifically for FL studio and have limited functions for other daws. The "marketing purpose" you speak of is them finally acknowledging that FL studio is the most used daw and Mfs are getting tired of using cubase\ableton midis
Nice, I bought the 37 Iike a week ago and haven't gotten around to opening it, partially because I was worried since it was so new, but now I'm feeling better about cracking it open, thanks for the video!
I’m excited for the FL users to finally have a dedicated midi keyboard. This will be new starting point where things really start getting fun if they never made beats using any type of midi controller. After awhile of them making beats using this, they’ll start to understand why former FL users like myself gravitated to the Maschines, MPCs and even Ableton when they created the Push
FL users have been using controllers forever. This is just the first fully dedicated keyboard controller for the DAW that works intuitively with many functions. There's many controllers that work fine, you just have to set them up properly, most people don't know how or don't even try. There's also the Akai Fire for FL Studio which is comparable to the push with it's grid instead of keys.
I'm glad to see a controller manufacturer actually make a decent keyboard controller for FL. I truly hope this gets other companies to start doing the same. Hope to see novation come out with a 61 and 88 key version and also a drum pad controller too...
@@AveMcree I've heard about it...haven't seen anything on it though. Have to look at that...I'm not in the market but it will be interesting to see how it functions plus the potential for more to come.

I appreciate your channel because your honesty in all your reviews; I got my Plus even after your Pros and Cons of it, and I knew what to expect. Keep doing what you do fam, just wanted to show some love and respect!🙏🏾✊🏾💚
Is it possible to play polyphonically in scale mode? As all that i'm seeing at the moment is scale mode being played on the keys for leads, bases and other typically single note instruments... Is it possible to play chords on the keys (not the pre-set chords on the pads) in scale mode?
Great video! How does the integration work with 3rd party vsts like Omnisphere or Waves plug-ins? Can you still browse presets, knob perimeters auto linked? Or do we have to manually link perimeters like on other controllers. Thanks! Also, if you have another 88 keyboard to use at the same time, will the scale lock feature apply to the other keyboard as well when activated? Thank you!
I've already got an SL MK3 do you think Novation will support some kind of FL integration with it in the future? Even though it's got its own incredibly capable multipart sequencer I'm just a sucker for hardware/software integrated devices ever since I first put my hands on the original Maschine forever ago. Love your videos Ave! You're easily one of the most entertaining production channels I follow...and I sub to most everyone I find.
Thank you so much for the kind words. No, I don’t think that novation will update any of their other launchkey controllers. I could be wrong. However, with these dedicated midi controllers I highly doubt they will look into that. What I think is likely will be other dedicated controllers for FL studio. Also, make sure you subscribe to my channel because it looks like you’re not subscribed.
Yo Ave, Would you pick this product over Akai Fire? I got Full FL 20 but barely use it at all. I got the Fire, but I also have a MPC Live 2 that I use w/ Reason 12 rack as sound modules. Looking to get the bigger version of this IF its worth it over the fire. I forgot to mention that I actually liked the Fire when I did use it. Thanks in advance.
@11:06 I guess to be fair to Novation, the channel rack arrow seems to be moreso if there are more channels then pads, otherwise they expect you to just hit the corresponding pad on your FLKey to focus the keys on it (making color coding very important for this midi controller). Not the best User experience model on their end, but I guess it makes sense
Hi i would be very gratefull to you if you could help me out, my channel rack button doesnt work i saw the tutorials and when i press shift button only customs buttons light up the rest just are shut down so if you know i would be thankfull to you.

@@Talentman18 Make sure you’re updated to the latest version of FL and go to MIDI settings, where you see “Controller Type” you should see a script that’s there for FLKey. As a owner of a LaunchKey Mini MK3 and user of Ableton Live and FL Studio I’m kind of disappointed for the fact that this controller is literally the same as the LaunchKey. It’s the same housing with different internals. If you don’t have a mini controller and would like one, I see someone buying it. But myself already owning a LaunchKey Mini, I don’t see myself buying the “same controller” again just to use it with FL. No troll reasons. Fl literally stands for fruity loops 🤷🏽♂️ I actually like the akai mpk full size keys on the 249. I know the fl key mini is different from the launchkey but it still feels like marketing…scale mode seems clunky…
I haven't actually tried the launchkey 37 in FL but I've heard it's a nightmare tryna really use it in FL and I sincerely hope somehow this leads to being able to have a similar FL experience with the Launchkey as using FL Key if that makes sense.
In terms of portability, quality and functionality, what would you feel is a better option? This is going for roughly $110 and im thinking on getting it, just rather not waste my money if there's better options. I am a FL Studio user myself.
I can't stand fruity loops. I got the free version to check it out. It doesn't let you add vst's, and it holds your projects hostage until you get a paid version. How was I supposed to check it out.
