Epic Ring Road | DAY 7 Hot Springs, Canyons and Viking Longhouse

Welcome to the SEVENTH day of our 8 DAY ROAD TRIP around the Ring Road in Iceland! Today we finished up the northern part of our trip around Iceland by starting our day at Iceland's oldest church, Grafarkirkja. After that we stopped by Fosslaug for a dip in a nice hot spring that was not only next to a river, but the Reykjafoss Waterfall. We also stopped by the Eiríksstaðir Longhouse where it is believed that Leif Erikson or his father Erik Thorvaldsson, known as Erik the Red, may have lived in that area. To finish our day we went to the Kolugljúfur Canyon before heading to the Snaefellsnes Peninsula to set up our camp in Grundarfjörður so that we would be ready to see the Kirkjufell mountain and waterfall bring and early the next day!
This is our final country for our year long trip around the world. We flew in to Reykjavík from Dublin, and rented a Jeep with a pop up tent and hit the road!
