The BEST of Iceland | DAY 2 Hot Springs, Waterfalls and Lava Fields!

Welcome to the second day of our 8 DAY ROAD TRIP around the Ring Road in Iceland! We started our roadtrip with the Golden Circle portion of our roadtrip with rising early in the morning to beat the crowds to Hrunalaug, a natural hot spring with an adorable viking hut. After our refreshing dip in the hotspring we continued on our way to Gulfoss, which means golden waterfall. This is Iceland's most iconic waterfall and gives name to the golden circle. We stopped for lunch at one of the most unique restaurants we have ever been to, Friðheimar. The food was delicious and it quickly became our favorite restaurant. We made a long journey over to Landmannlaugar to do some hiking before finally getting to our campsite around 11PM. All in all, it was a great second day in Iceland!
This is our final country for our year long trip around the world. We flew in to Reykjavík from Dublin, and rented a Jeep with a pop up tent and hit the road! We will be hitting up all of the classic stops including Skogafoss and Seljalandsfoss waterfalls, the black sand beach of Reynisfjara, and the geothermal Lake Myvatn in the north. And MANY hidden gems in between. So join us as we continue on our roadtrip, and stay tuned for the rest of the adventure!
