Demonstrating the skill is good. However, the guy clearly knew it beforehand. You do not simply learn on the spot to skin the cat + tuck + tuck open legs and you go from that position to a full back lever just because you threw him some chalk. Just to make a point that this takes a lot of time so that your viewers do not get mislead.
Thank you for your comment. This video about : how to achieve skills step by step. SO people can follow this steps and do. If you have good basic strength: 15 pull up good foprm and 40 push up good form. - then you can do this skills in few hours or days. I used to challenge some bodybuilders and he learned bend arm planche in 1 hour, straddle back lever in like 30 minutes. Of course some athletes will spend 1-3 month, because not enough strength. I learned FL in first my workout. Straddle planche in 3 weeks
I have my bent arm planche/90 degree hold down along with straddle planche. Bettering my full, and progressing everything you feature in this video. Also arm lever flag and human flag. I follow you on Instagram Andre and I actually sent you my story, a picture of my full planche from a few weeks ago. Let me know your thoughts and I’ll upload where I’m at soon. Along with the other skills.
this is the first time i've seen a bodybuilder with such a crazy strength and talent for calisthenics, he can be the pro hybrid bodybuilder who does 300 kg deadlifts and front levers just for fun 😭
I usually just watch for inspiration but this is exactly my current level, just hit my first 15 pullups today, the front lever tip about progression by lovering straddle angle is actually great, thanks
Eat clean foods (meat, vegetables, fish, fruits etc), eat 500 calories less than your personal calorie-limit. And over time you will get leaner and leaner. Do not rush into it and completely starve your self. Stick with a diet that you know you can do every day without too much suffering. And of course train as this will increase the amount of calrories your body burns :D
Please do not follow this video. Do weighted calisthenics instead. This 95kg guy in the video is obviously much stronger than he said in the beginning. He can do many more than 15 pullups and 40 pushups. You need to already be very strong if you want to progress fast with skills. Otherwise you will injure yourself. Weighted calisthenics is exactly what helps you get stronger.
@@georgepetrou501the worst advise. He can do only 12 pull up! His body not ready for weighted calisthenics! He should reach at least 20 pull up to start adding extra weight!
@@andrystrong1 so you're telling me he can almost do a straddle front lever at a bodyweight of 95kg and height of about 5'11? Are you kidding me? That's not how that works. I can do more than 20 clean and slow pullups, 3x6 weighted pullups with +50% bodyweight and I can't get past the advanced tuck, even though I weigh 20kg less than this guy. No way can he do only 20 pullups. He's way stronger. Also, of course I'm jealous (of your genetics and your progress) but these progressions are not really the best thing to do if you wanna get stronger
Your strength and clean form , gave me motivation to start my own hand stand push up journey . Especially the video with 55 kg weight. U are an absolute beast , stay strong and healthy. Cheers
I am learning the back lever, but I don't know when i'm in a perfect horizontal line. My legs are always higher then my torso. Does anyone have tips for that?
Andy, Do you have books on the psychology and muscle engagement - - behind your workouts, especially transitions like in dragon planks without breaking the kinetic chain?
I am going to start putting more effort into handstands… I hate them now, but I used to do the same with pull-ups, which are now by far my favourite exercise

Great job. Do straddle FL raises and negative FL and try to hold in ankle where you can hold 5 seconds
Intermediate - is done before videos :D Next level?

Which is harder to do front or back lever? I tried doing back lever skin the cat but its scary.
Front Lever is more challenging

I know one more calisthenics beast who is 188 cm tall and 92 kg.
If you know😂😂
Yes! One of the best video on calisthenics.👍
Thank you very much

When you fall doing the muscleup you kill yourself with the chair 😂
Hi Andry Strong, i recomended band assistance 17-54 kg.
Dude is big as a mountain and only 92 kg? How tall is he? :D He looks like 110.
Great skills by the way!
I can do 65 pushups good form but only 2 pull-up what is my problem.
Great to see a South African in this video as you demonstrate these workouts
Great
That was too easy. Thank you for your instruction, I went from no pull up to full muscle up in one minute and 47 seconds! Easy!!!!!
His CNS would've got blasted 😂😂
I turn 40 in February. Are there any training considerations / suggestions for those of us attempting these skills later in life?
Hello
- you have to do warm up 15-20 minutes
- focus on slow work, with good technique
- stretching
- mobility
Does body matter in calisthenic I am 90 kg
Yup it matters. The heavier you are the stronger you must be. But you can still do it:) just start working on it
Yes. Its matter
for short people its easier to learn skills. If you are 90kg and 180cm then you have to work harder to achieve skills
