Funny you mention things falling between the seats. I know exactly what you mean. We could not find our iPad case. Figured it dropped out on the trail. We bought a new one. Found the original between the driver seat and console maybe 3 months later! And believe me I looked for it. We have the same "baby" Jeep. We use the Inreach and have the cheapest, I believe safety plan. It's cheaper to pay for the extra texts or what ever than to pay a higher monthly fee all the time. Doing what you're doing will be a work in progress for a bit. Enjoy the changes you make to make your life more comfortable in the road. Happy travels
I’ve been watching “living in a wrangler” videos for the past couple of months and this video gave me the most ideas by a long-shot, I especially love the cupboards. Thanks for sharing your experiences
Really appreciated your video. This is the first one iv'e watched in your series. You are do it yourselfers! you are not copying others or buying expensive systems. Love your honesty and that you are teaching us with your mistakes! Also, I didn't expect a Jeep Overlander Video from Indians. Really Cool!
i am sure you're never finished with upgrades as your needs and experience grows, but great improvements to support your journeys. For water, although not cheap, you can consider a lifesaver jerrycan. This has a built in filter and allows you to use water from any source, which will make you very independent.
@@AldoandDarsh 34 inch tires as in 285/75r17 ? (285/75r17 with 17x7.5 wheels; method wheels, MOPAR steel wheels/jeep alluminum wheels for overlanding/touring(but not overlanding/moderate or serious offroading) seems like a good balance).
Great video and Jeep ! The beauty of Jeeps is their like a Lego mobile, you can Always change and add more mods to them ! - Maybe look at a Water Filtration system, like for Backpackers, then you can just Filter lake water anytime you want, another beauty of Canada, lots of lake water !! 🙏🇨🇦❤️🌲
For water storage, build a square from pvc pipe, that fits around your roof rack... add a fill point, a hose connection (for shower) & a air filler.(for compressed air) paint it black & you have a shower & hot water storage...& then you can use your water jug for drinking water. Search roof shower on TH-cam.
Great Overland Build... one advice for storage look at Blue Ridge JLU Attic - its a net above the open area in rear seats. Great place to store light stuff. $80 so not too expensive. Also go get heated seats easy to install $50 on amazon and i would install the buttons right above the corners on cup holder.
"It works," is qualification enough! As mentioned, the tablet bracket is a GREAT idea and might be a copied one. NOT because it's affordable but because "It works!" Call me CRAZY, while fire is NEVER predictable, I always put the fire extinguisher across/away from the thing(s) (ie stove, furnace, engine, campfire, etc.) that might ignite into fire. My reason, when ablaze, I DO NOT want to be reaching over flames to grab the fire extinguisher. With "Summerish around" stay warm and always safe. : )
Sometimes an idea is all you need to fix a problem. And it can always be perfected 😄 You’re right about the fire extinguisher. We might just add another one in the front. Thanks for commenting as always 😊
Thanks for sharing this video. Really interesting. Nice built, well done. One hint: The CO2 detecter should be as low as possible in the vehicle, as CO2 is heavier than oxygen and sinks therefore. It does not help to have a CO2 detecter just under the roof. You'll suffocate much earlier than an alarm is triggered. I just thought I should mention that. :-) Hope to meet you some time out in the wilderness and cook some Subji & roti together haha Best regards, Ernst
Thanks 😊 A Wrangler Sport is as capable as a Rubicon in most of the trails we go. Also we stick to the idea of not breaking our tiny home on wheels so ya 😄
Needed all that roof space for storage. Plus having a sleeping setup inside comes in handy when you want to stealth camp once in a while (at a Walmart or a Truck Stop). Also it is the best option during a rain/wind/snow storm. We survived a -27 degree celsius snow storm is Quebec. Over 95 kmph winds in PEI and 3 days of continuous rain fall in Nova Scotia. We do have a RTT now in our TJ as we only do weekend trips.
Nice! I like how you showed the things that didnt work out too. Helps us from making the same mistakes (hopefully lol). I've got a Jeep Patriot I want to do the same thing with. There are lots of videos with roof top tents but i cant do those due to a mobility disability. Climbing into the back is all I can do. Thank you for sharing!! Good luck with your channel. Do you travel only in Canada?
Glad you liked our content Alyx 😊 I think Patriot is spacious enough to build something amazing. Good luck on your build 👍🏽 We’re not done exploring Canada yet lol
In the big boxes we have some winter/summer clothes, more food supplies, spare parts, shoes and stuff. The small box is all tools and recovery gear. We’ll make a separate video for that 👍🏽 Rear seats are at a friends garage back in Toronto 😄

Hey Guys, I enjoyed your video very much. You might be interested in the plywood and finish I used on my platform, if you were thinking of modifying yours.
I have been travelling India on my Jeep (Mahindra thar ) to some of the most dangerous roads of the world but living in the Jeep is much more adventurous. Inspired from you guys would try it some day .
Not a prob I ended up getting a mess load of free 3/8 plywood. I ended up gluing and screwing two sheets together. 3/4 total 😎 heavy-duty. A local big department store was doing a renovation so they built false walls so customers wouldn't see the construction going on. When they were done they threw all this perfectly good plywood and 2x4s screwed to it. Not only did I get 7 full sheets of plywood, ummteen 2x4s and countless perfect 1 1/2" drywall screws. Score big time. My build is just about done. I will post a video of a walk around soon. Will keep you guys posted 👍
Cleanthe black paint off the white tank hanging off your tire with a wire brush, wipe it down with denatured alcohol. The give a several coats of black PlastiDip coating. It will stay put and not scrape off easily.
Great build. You guys might want to checkout Ravenwolf Marine Den-Dry Mattress Underlay-Queen at Amazon. This might sold your moldy situation. I have it on my RTT and it helps prevent condensation. Also, check out Vector Offroad dashboard accessory bar, this will give you plenty of space for mounting all your gadgets and will free-up space in front you. Be Safe and Enjoy!
Mold and other wood based funk is what made me choose cellular pvc for my Jeep decked sleeping system
PVC sheets are a great idea 👌🏽

Thank you Vince 😊 The cupboards were a challenge to build for us. But let’s you make use of all that window space.
Very nice upgrades I’m sure the awnings a game changer specially when it’s raining out be blessed

love when these show up in my search -- thanks for sharing! lol to the "pit of doom holders" mentioned! I need to get some of those! :)

Glad I came across your video and page. Are you on the east coast? I ask b/c you mentioned OExpo East. Are you going this year?

That makes total sense. Thanks for sharing this tip Ernst 😊 Subji and Roti yaaas!! 😄🙌🏽

surprised at the fact that you are overlanding with a non-rubicon wrangler...Keep the good work!

Great build. Did you buy your Jeep new ? Did you ever figure out how much money you put into your Jeep?
Yes it was bought new. Atleast 6k I guess. Never really calculated
@@AldoandDarsh What year is your Jeep ? I thought it was a 2003 ?
The JL you see in this video is a 2018 and the TJ (our current Jeep) is a 2003.

Yes we did

👍🤘🏼 really nice video guys.
Thank you 😊
Great build! Have you had any issues with that much weight on that clamp on cargo basket?
Never had any issues really. Also we made sure that the weight is evenly distributed. So placed everything on the rack accordingly.

How do u guys stay cool in the jeep while sleeping in the summer ???🤔
We have the window mesh that keeps the air flowing. If there’s no wind then ya might get a lil sweaty 😝
i have few questions.. 1.wat is in the boxes? 2.wer is ur rear seats? 3.can u show ur tool kit?

could you tell me the brand name of your awning and where to get the window mesh? thanks
