🌟 DESCRIPTION🌟
Jak II takes place in the same fictional universe created by Naughty Dog for Jak and Daxter, though five hundred years after the events of the first game. The game largely revolves around Haven City, a dystopia ruled by Baron Praxis and his Krimzon Guard law enforcers. Haven City serves as the game's hub location, although the player is frequently given tasks that must be fulfilled outside of the city.

Honestly one of the greatest sequels to a game ever, especially if you were a kid at the time.
I was 12 when the first one came out and surprised I never ask for this. I think my brother rented it from game fly but I don't think I ever finished it. sadly Sony doesn't make games like this anymore. kid these days are going up with Fortnite, and call of duty. They're ok with poisoning kids for profit. we want to blame guns for all the school shooting not bad parenting and gaming company just making more m rated shooters.

Jak and Daxter always comes back into my life too. But it does several times lol. Just gotta love the characters and the gameplay. Still here hoping that we'll get more one day.

Wow over 10 years & I've never noticed that Phil Lamarr plays Sig 🤣🤣😭 I can hear The Green Lantern John Stewart all throughout his performance.....1 of my favorite Voice Actors

i absolutely loved playing the Jak and Daxter Trilogy, including it's racing game. My favorite jak and daxter was the third one.

These animations look really good even all this time, especially for the PS2. Naughty Dog really took presentation seriously. Look at Daxter's face at 1:17:17. That is one hell of a "I can't beleive someone would do that to his own family" expression.

This I think was my first ever game .. I was like maybe 7 when I started it up and boy oh boy the first cutscene was something and I was so lost . The game was so hard when I was younger and now that I’m grown this aged like fine wine .
Jak 2 was definitely the pinnacle of the series, it was the beginning of a new direction for the series.

Eh, I didn't exactly like the direction the series went after the first game. I mean it helped build storytelling fit for a movie with Naughty Dog, but still....

I wonder too sometimes, about what if ND never went the mature edgy route for Jak and stayed within the core innocence of the precursor legacy?
Most likely, it would had focus on Jak learning how to master his eco powers and probably bring back gol and Maia.
But then again, Jak 2 was really good and gol and Maia was mentioned in the Jak 3 strategy guide or bible ( I can't remember which) that they were inside the catacombs the entire time after the palace fell.
@@austinjoseph2881 Jak 3 was a step down from 2. 3 was too easy and the story made odd choices at times. For example, Keira plays very little importance in 3's story, and Ashelin is written as Jak's love interest which spits on Jak and Keira's relationship and the implied relationship between Torn and Ashelin in 2. Cyber Errol was not good as an antagonist, and I think bringing back Gol and Maia would have been better, if anything.

As much as I love the games in the series and the characters, this was my introduction to how screwed up time travel is as a narrative element
Which is hilarious considering this is actually one of the best time travel stories ever made dyes to the fact that they actually keep it making sense. Mostly 🤣

Loved this trilogy. I do someday hope to see a Jak 4 down the road. Yeah that might be close to some Banjo Threeie copium but a man can hope lol.
There was a 4th entry (5th of you count Jak racing), but it, uh... did not live up to the rest of the series...

honestly 3 was a dam fine conclusion while X was a nice hey this is something the gang got involved in afterward and frontier was just what the fuck were they thinking in terms of game quality (too many bugs and just allot of minor gameplay issues) the story wasn't complete garbage but it was also not amazing.

I honestly found a problem with the video for some unknown reason if you look at jak,s eye after they return from turning back on the water, his left eye is like a laser but just in that part of the video I wonder why🤔
I think, this is the only game of the series I don't own... I'd need to check, but I know I've got "Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy", "Jak III" and "Jak X", since I played Jak 3 for a long time as a kid and never managed to complete Jak X. And my dad played all of them before me.

Coming to this straight out a Jak 1 is very jarring yet at the same time welcomed. I’ve never seen a franchise pull off anything as drastic as the environmental change as this SQL did.

Precursor Legacy: Samos's hut has a plant that looks exactly like the man eating plant enemies. Probably not intentional but the Blue Sage reminded me of N.Tropy a little.
Jak 2: The green laser attack that destroys the ground that Praxis uses in Mar's tomb is just like what N.Gin does in Crash 2. The Crocadog is a reference to Dingodile.
Jak 3: Daxter getting his new pair of pants at the end makes him look a little more like Crash. Cyber Errol with half his face now metal combined with him being ginger haired is very likely inspired by N.Gin
There's probably some call backs in Jak X but I don't remember right now.

great story but most gameplay is trash
Honestly, I was too preoccupied, trying not to die because of the hard difficulty of the game that the story went over my head which to me is bad game design as the story mode and gameplay difficulty shouldn’t get in the way of each other. Still, this is one of the best sequels I played so far.
