Tip for the spaghetti squash - cut small slits around the whole squash following the line you plan to cut afterwards, then pop it in the microwave for ~3 minutes. It will soften the skin and make it heaps easier to cut in half before roasting :)
@@SanneVloet follow those same instructions except pop it in the oven. Let it roast whole either the entire time then cut and shred. Or roast it whole for just enough time to soften slightly and cut. Then finish roasting the halves.
I buy spaghetti squash in bulk (4-5 maybe at a time), pop them in the oven at 400 for about an hour (or until fork tender) just like a potato. Cool, cut, clean. I then portion and freeze. I really like my spaghetti squash twice cooked. I make many dishes with it. Pad Thai, Carbonara, Enchilada casserole. It is so versatile

The only way I have been able to get my sugar cravings and bingeing under control is with the ketogenic diet. I have lost 28 lbs since Dec. 20, 2020 with keto and intermittent fasting! I am still considered obese, so I still have a long way to go, but I already feel so much better. I gained over 100 lbs since I started taking medications for bipolar disorder. I was at a healthy weight before that, and I so want to get back to a weight where I can enjoy hiking with my family.

If you place the squash in the oven while it preheats, it softens the squash up enough so you can easily cut it.
