Installed a Predator 224 on the GoPowerSports Mega Moto 80/105 swing arm minibike. Did a 0 to 30 and top speed run to see how the predator 224 compared to the Hemi Predator?

I've learned that torque converters suck for anything over 50mph. I'm stuck at 52mph with my tillotson 212, +.020 rod, +.020 flat top piston, 26mm mikuni, 275 cam, 1.3 ratio rockers on a cc100x
For fun I put a centrifugal clutch back on and got 68-70mph. But it shakes you to pieces until you're rolling @ 15-20mph.
SOMEBODY has to develop something that is good for low end and doesn't produce a ton of friction that prevents the engine from revving out..
I have a video coming out that might surprise you. Close to 60 MPH with 3 second zero to thity times all with a torque converter!

The 224 is a monster. It throws my KT196 around as fast as my Yellow jacket with a cammed 212 and half the weight of the Coleman.

Should i get a new carb for my 212, i got valve springs, air filter, header pipe, governor delete
Ya, a slide carb will help and it cleans up all the throttle linkage.
I have a question ¿¿?? Will the jackshaft to the hisun mount on the 224??? I just purchased clutch and bolt for the 224 but was wondering if I could still use the jackshaft
The 224 has the same mounting locations as the Predator 212 or the 196

Hey, I have a predator 212 hemi with all billet parts and it kicks back after i replaced the jets. It doesn't kick back when I hit the kill switch. The flywheel has 34 degrees advanced timing. I think it's the pilot jet because I remember older bikes especially, have kick back if the throttle is open any. I just want a second opinion. Also I'm loving the content 👍
Let’s see.. 50.5 mph.. is it a 6.25 final gear ratio ? Guesstimate rpm to be 7700ish rpm?

I bought the MM212 frame kit, and it came with a torque converter. It does 43-44 mph on the flat with a stock Pred 224. Won't be staying stock for long!
