      That would be wonderful! I was so frustrated at only being able to find interviews with very experienced artists, so I hope aspiring artists are able to benefit from these interviews as much as I have.

      As am I! He's a really impressive artist, I was so happy when he agreed to be on the podcast. Your work is great as well, I love the intricate details and thought you put into your Medieval Pirate's cabin and Prop assignment. And your assassin series has such a delightful atmosphere. :)

    All these interviews are really great! Definitely this channel will pick up. It's very profesional, carried out with a lot of care and patience which quite frankly feels refreshing. I'm very happy that someone finally let's the interviewed artists speak freely, without interruptions or further explaining what they said... Anyways, great job!!!

    Well picked topic for a podcast, good inquiry, you're definitely at ease with talking to people, it listens very well. I've watched like 4 in a row, Im currently making my first professional portfolio for concept, so It's a gem for me
    The audio is good, and being able to watch this WALL OF BEAUTIFUL works is very informative.
    I mention this because I think people also like "talking heads" podcasts, but here I just enjoy the information and the source material
    As constructive feedback goes, there's one thing
    You might consider slowing down the pace of works you show, especially when you're talking about it. You might include some zoom-in's then as well. Generally it's cool to get a grasp on quantity and type of work by seing 50 of them in 2 minutes, but as you get deeper into details of pipeline you might show drawings on purpose, like layouts or sth
    I'd love to hear more about technical side of pipeline. I find it hard to look for that information and who better to speak than people in the very jobs

    Having the different views and experiences is really helping out creating a realistic view on the industry. It really shows what you can expect.

    • @ConceptArtistPodcast

      That's the goal! What's your current view of the industry listening to these interviews?

    • @lucvanderburgh8386
      @lucvanderburgh8386 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ConceptArtistPodcast Right now it shows that it varies allot. Depending on the different studios it can be very flexible or a rigid pipeline. I do see a lot of artist saying that they are able to grow within the company as an individual artist. That means depending on your personal preference there is always a way to get a job.
      Channels like this really show that the jump to a paid working artist isn't that hard or scary. It show you simply have to work to follow your passion.

    • @ConceptArtistPodcast
      @ConceptArtistPodcast  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@lucvanderburgh8386 Wonderful insight, I'm of a similar opinion. Although I've noticed a strong art program like Syn Studio can help speed things along. :)

    • @lucvanderburgh8386
      @lucvanderburgh8386 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ConceptArtistPodcast certainly, expert teachers will really help the process along. Although with the current stream of information and courses online, artist will create a personal artstyle in a way faster speed. In my oppinion so far.
      I myself do not feel the need to apply to a program with all the free information available.

    This channel is growing slowly and good, My only Constructive Critic for Christina is, speak slower. You speak very fast sometimes that you dont end up finishing some of the words before moving to the next word! =) Its ok to slow down! (I have the same issue! :D)

    The portfolio doesnt solve a single design issue, is just the classic cool stuff

    • @BasementMinions
      @BasementMinions 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      How would a portfolio go about solving a design issue? I don't think I've ever heard of that before. 🙂

    • @royalecrafts6252
      @royalecrafts6252 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BasementMinions well for a focus video game project portfolio, you won't need that cause you already have the issues solved or the designs just doesn't rely on problems to be solved, but for a general purpose portfolio I would advise solving a design issue of a certain element around the world that you are envisioning, simple example: in 99% of scifi portfolios you see a bunch of cool spaceship designs, although not a single one of them have a method to release built up heat within the ship (you will cook in the inside like a turkey on thanksgiving day) they just add a bunch of cool spaceship designs with no thought involve in the process of problem solving a design issue, and yes you can go around that issue and say your world is a fantastical one, the problem will arrive when your senior or art director ask you to solve a design problem and you just know how to draw cool stuff, which isn't always the case in the industry
