    It's funny how they're not allowed to create AI because they're afraid of the reprocussions, but Ballas' arrogant ass signs off on making the Sentients and then sends them away by themselves to populate an entire system. 🤦‍♀️ Nothing could possibly go wrong 😂

    The Innodem Dagger description hint at a time in which the Orokin were much more benevolent.
    Maybe they started out as a group that was able to bring back humanity back from the brink after the latest attempt at self-destruction.
    Given the ban on AI, I wager some sort of AI uprising was responsible for that particular apocalypse.
    Or maybe one the first generations of Infestation tech got out of control and Earth almost ended up like Deimos, before the Orokin ancestors mastered the Infestation.
    Of not is also that the Orokin society that was eventually built, was based on Plato's Ideal Republic. Sadly, the Orokin became a far cry from the philosopher kings Plato imagined.

    • @OrokinArchives
      @OrokinArchives  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +16

      Yeah, the Innodem description is quite interesting in this context. As I note, we don't know anything about the origins of the Orokin or how their civilisation came to be. These things could be possible! Or maybe the Innodem was just a part of the propaganda the Orokin told to their subjects. Maybe one day we'll know the answer.

    Expanding upon the whole shift from dualism to vain faith, before the Void was discovered the Orokin prioritized symmetry in beauty standards. Even Ballas was described as being symmetrical in older lore entries. The blue skin and enlongated arm was a conscious cosmetic decision because it reflected actual cases of Void poisoning, and of course they wanted to tie themselves to the Void mysticism and divinity.

      Nora just calls him "worse than an executioner, worse even than an Excruciator", with no other reference to his rank or title. Right now there's nothing referring to him as an Executor, though that of course can change in the future.

    • @villepore7013
      @villepore7013 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      @@OrokinArchivesI would refer to the Gara Prime trailer. In most of them, Ballas seems to be talking to the other seven, and in that, Nihil is said to have called for glassing of the volunteer who would become Gara. He is also referred to as an Executor with a capital E at least few times, which is reserved only for the members of The Seven. I would also refer to what Nora says during the Nihil fight: " "Lot of info in here, Glassmaker. Legem 6-243. 'No capital sentence shall be passed without unanimous consent of the Seven, on pain of...' Oh, look at that. 'Forfeiture of all tools of office, banishment.' Huh. You're a criminal.". Do you have a video explaining the "Tenno Faction"? When we go to the Relays there are several humans performing numerous functions, guards, workers, when we carry out defense or rescue missions we save and defend operatives. Who are these people? Are the Tenno in present-day lore part of an organized group? And are these humans the non-Tenno members of the faction?

    • @OrokinArchives
      @OrokinArchives  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +9

      I don't have a video on that yet. It could be a future topic. But to answer some of your questions now: these are human civilians who have agreed to work for the Lotus - she's the main logistical commander for the Tenno as a whole. The cause of the Tenno can draw many to their banner, or simply hatred of the Grineer and Corpus. However, working with the Tenno carries a death sentence if they fall into enemy hands, according to Cephalon Cordylon: "Those who work within Tenno Relays are in fact a privileged few, but their allegiance to our cause does come at the loss of safety beyond our harbour."

  • @hallelion
    @hallelion 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    10:41 I've recently watched a new Tenno (Legendary Drops) do the Apostasy Prologue. It seems DE have altered this somewhat, from "Jade Light" to "Jade light" in the subtitles, possibly converting this mode of execution from a disintegrating beam to an actual Warframe doing the execution. Hopefully this could be further verified come Jade Shadows update in June.

    • @OrokinArchives
      @OrokinArchives  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Actually, it was always "Jade light" in the Apostasy Prologue (and in The Sacrifice as well). However, later references like Lavos' Leverian and Archimedian Yonta capitalise it fully.

    A question that always plagued my mind was the amount of Tenno fighting during the Old War. Like how many children were rescued from the Zariman and how many warframes were actually made to fight the Sentients. Did each Tenno used a specific warframe or were the frames mass produced and each Tenno would just use one until they got destroyed or would they just rebuild the their "main"? Is there any place in the lore that explains these points?

    • @OrokinArchives
      @OrokinArchives  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@_tadoshi_ Good questions! Unfortunately the lore doesn't really expound on these topics, either the numbers involved or the way Tenno and warframes were paired. Some people think the player numbers are the canon Tenno population, based on The Business making comments during the Fortuna ARG that referenced the number of participating Tenno, but that's up for individual interpretation. I hope we get more info on how the Tenno were assigned their warframes and how they fought during the Old War at some point.

    Small note, it's just as likely that the zariman came after the sentient project.
    well it's true that the sentients were supposed to also construct a solar rail, and that the zariman also was supposed to do it, suggesting that they were first, it's in my opinion very much possbile that they were first. this could be because the sentients didn't finish the solar rail, either because they weren't done yet, or refused to make one (maybe because they were already intelligent at that point). it also is never mentioned that the zariman had any terraforming capabilities, which suggest that tau was already expected to be habitable.
    A piece of evidence suggesting the sentients were send first are the tablets, in duviri there are tablets has the questions which are made for the childeren on the zariman. well the last couple are corrupted by the man in the wall, most of them are orokin designed questions.
    two of them suggests that the sentients are already there. the first states:
    "What will be the primary challenge of colonizing Tau?" the correct answer is "Remaining industrious in the midst of abundance" which implies that the tau was already terraformed due to having abundance, since the other wrong anwser being "Unknown native hazards of the environment", and seeing that it was wrong, it seems that there weren't hostile treats expected there. making it likely to be terraformed by the sentients already
    the second one states
    "Who is constructing the Extrasolar Rail between Pluto and Tau?" with the anwser being
    "An elite group of loyal servants of the Seven" which seems a cover up for the sentient project. to be fair, this could also refer to the zariman adults, but seeing that it doesn't mention the zariman, despite being made for the zariman, it's seems more likely to refer to the sentients.
    However it could be the other way around, it's still up for interpitation.

    • @OrokinArchives
      @OrokinArchives  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      The Sentients did complete their Solar Rail, though. It was used by the Sentients to return to the Origin System to fight the Old War, and also used by the Orokin to send soldiers to Tau. It was later destroyed by the Sentients in the final phase of the war. So if the Sentients had gone first, and built the Rail, then the Zariman would not have needed a Reliquary Drive.
      Regarding terraforming, the early concepts of Duviri said that the land was generated by the Zariman's terraforming technology running amok in the Void (stated in the TennoCon 2022 art panel). Although this was later changed, we don't know to what extent things were retconned - the Zariman having terraforming capabilities could still be canon from the developers' perspective (although no mention of it currently exists in the game).
      As for the quiz tablets, it's important to remember that even the questions not corrupted by The Indifference are still part of Orokin propaganda, and not necessarily entirely truthful.
      All this being said, we don't have exact confirmation of which came first, and either is technically possible. However, I view the fact that the Solar Rail was completed as pretty strong evidence that the Sentients were the final attempt (and partially successful at that) to colonise Tau.

    • @Crazor2000
      @Crazor2000 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@OrokinArchives yeah, i'm not saying it's fact or that it's certain that the sentients came first, but in my personal view is seems more likely the other way around. although i would like to pose some questions and counterpoints for why i may think it could be the other way around.
      Isn't it possible that they finished their solar rail after the zariman jump? going to tau would take a lot of time, and lotus says that the journey was very long so before the Ropalolyst fight. going to tau without voidjumps is a long way, suggesting that they would have send far ahead. yes, the zariman was lost in the void for a while, but traveling and terraforming an solarsystem would take.
      also may i ask were the part is they state that they destoyed their rail? well it seems likely and i could see that happening, i couldn't find a source (i think i just missed it, not that it doesn't exist).
      also i looked up the 2022 art panel, altough they did say that the orginal idea for duviri was that it spread out from the zariman, and that it could do terraforming in the early concept, they also stated it was more of an emergeny mode for if the zariman would get stranded, suggesting that it was not meant to completely terraform tau.
      Also while true ,the ones in duviri are also orokin propoganda, (the second tablet is a good example, which suggest that it were loyal servants that made the rail, when we know it was the task of the sentients) would it not be more likely that they would have informed at least more, due to the nature of the mission? even the childeren were informed somewhat about void travel and to regulate their emotions, due to the dangers of have instabel childeren on board. Wouldn't it be more likely that they would inform that tau would have hazards if they wanted it to succeed and prep them for it? they weren't even given propper weapons as the incarnon weapons were more meant to be ceramonial weapons, suggesting that they expected little trouble.
      I'm not saying also that it couldn't be that the sentience came after, it was that way, but you can make a good argument for both sides.

    So are they human? Entrati and Loid look completely human unlike Ballas. When we go back to 1999 it looks like our Earth with no Orokin architecture.

    • @OrokinArchives
      @OrokinArchives  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes! The Orokin are human, or at least were originally. I think it's safe to say they're a post-human or trans-human subspecies now; the extrasolar message from the Zariman ARG distinguishes between human and Orokin anatomy. But they view themselves as the ultimate form or apotheosis of humanity. Ballas does refer a few times to a fundamental humanity that the Orokin embody. 1999 takes place on Earth before the Orokin existed, but I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a few hints at their origins there.

    Personally, I don't think the Executors were the uppermost stratum of authority in the Origin System. Keep in mind that the full name of their caste is "Executors of the Seven". As such, it seems likely to me that there is a higher caste - The Seven (Emperors) - as penultimate leaders of Orokin society, with the Executors, well, executing The Sevens' will. This also means there were likely, or at least possibly, more than seven Executors (as one would expect of a multi-planetary polity). Keep in mind that the Stalker Codex entry mentions the Emperors receiving the Tenno at the slaughter of Terminus. Do you really think any Executors would have lived if they were the Emperors? No, the Tenno almost certainly killed every Orokin present, and especially the uppermost leading caste which was explicitly stated to be present.

    • @OrokinArchives
      @OrokinArchives  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There aren't any documents that specifically lay out the exact power structure within the Orokin Empire, so we have to piece it together from multiple lines of dialogue. "Emperors" are only mentioned twice, both in older lore sources (Stalker Codex entry and Targis Prime armour, both prior to Executors being mentioned in the lore), so it's my belief that the concept of Emperors was later folded into the Executors. We have never seen any of the Executors respect or mention an authority above their own besides their collective peers (the other Executors). As for "the Seven", we have ample evidence that this refers to the Executors themselves. The Executors voted to decide criminal sentences; there were seven votes (Ballas: "Seven hands raised!"). Ergo, seven Executors. In Ivara's Leverian, Ballas is present inside "the Chamber of the Seven". Executor Tuvul calls himself a member of "the Orokin Seven" when talking to the Zariman colonists - this, I think, is the strongest evidence that "the Seven" refers to the Executors. Unfortunately, there's no lore that directly says "the Seven Executors", so we sort of have to figure it out from the context of these many quotes. Although the Slaughter at the Terminus was a one-sided victory for the Tenno, it was still chaotic and messy. We see during Jade Shadows that Jade specifically stopped the Tenno from killing the Stalker; who knows what other kind of confrontations may have taken place. Especially with the Executors, who were able to deploy the most advanced kinds of protection due to their rank.
      However, much of this is still unclear and certainly could be revised in the future if we get more clarification. It's possible DE may want to revisit the concept of the Emperors. Based on the lore we have now though, I don't think they were a factor.

      @@justsogusto4979 Orinially in lore it was implied that Ballas alone had blue skin and an elongated arm due to his own ego. The Orokin valued symmetry and beauty, hence why the healers who had one long arm were shunned.

    • @OrokinArchives
      @OrokinArchives  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      The lore around the Orokin's aesthetics is rather spotty. The Lorist healers were asymmetrical because the Lora device protruded from their right foreheads, not because they had long arms. Their healing devices were implanted in their palms, which is the source of the Infested Ancient's healing ability, but they are never stated to have the long arms of the Orokin.

    is a little obvious to say the orokin structures, clothes and general aspect would have gold details... when their name derives from golden kind... oro = gold in spanish, kin = kind...
