Great video. I picked up the RTX gauges with a Holley Sniper Stealth for my 70 SS LS5. Had to wait months for the bridge module so the gauges can talk to the EFI. Will be doing my install in the coming months, but was glad to see a demo. More motivation to get them installed! Thanks!

Appreciate this video, David. You’ve helped me make my mind up to move forward and order this dash. You’re right, it’s the perfect mix of a really nice upgrade without losing the feel of driving a classic. Never cared much for digital gauges until now. Thanks again.

I like the HDX better, especial for the Chevelle/El Camino as it get's rid of the clock and you don't need to run the switch to get to the menu.

Just the video I was looking for..!
I was trying to find out the difference between the RTX and HDX gauges on the lighting.
HDX gauge needless can change color and on the RTX it’s just orange.
    Thanks, great info

Is the gear indicator always on or is there a setting to make that go away?

I have a 1970 Monte Carlo with stock gauges, how hard was it to install these gauges?

You do anything with the knob hole for the clock, I don’t want dirt and dust falling into mine

An installation video would’ve been helpful.
Does it adapt to original wiring harness? Things like that.

I agree but the installation is a long process - I had the entire dash out and rewired everything and it took me weeks I wasn't going to sit there and video all of that and edit it etc. just too long - the install is straight forward and there are a few others out there like Goose Performance who do these all the time

@@davidthomasomalley5134 Thank you. I called Dakota Digital cuz no one , I mean no one, has these gauges in stock. They said 4-6 months before they can catch up with orders. I’m sure (100% maybe) I’ll be able to figure it out. No one on TH-cam shows complete installation of these particular dash upgrades, not even goose performance. Thanks for your reply. Maybe I’ll be able to buy one before the year is out…..
