    If you went to a 9" wide instead of the 8" on the front would you adjust backspace?
    I'm looking at 275/35 R18 on a 9" wide rim. Not sure of backspace

    Goosse, Is that a stock rear axle? I have a 66 Lemans restomod/protouring kind off that I want to put wider wheels in the back. I am running 17x7 with 245/50/17 and 4.5 backspacing. 1 will like to do 18x11 but not sure the backspacing. We both have the same body platform so if your axle is stock then this should work for my 1966. By the way it is a convertible.

    I've been watching your content for a while now and love what you have done to this car. I have a question for ya, I have a '72 Chevelle that I installed the 2" lowering springs on and was wondering how much clearance you had from your long tubes. How bad did they scrub in those unlevel places and was you able to go over things such as speed bumps? Thanks!

    • @goosseperformance1444
      @goosseperformance1444  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No clearance whatsoever definitely had to change the headers

    Goose wanted to see if I can get some advice just bought some 18 inch rims and tires 245/45r18 and the driver side fits perfect but the passenger side is not centered and is sitting closer to the rear wheel well causing it not to fit right and not a lot of clearance please help

    Hey bro i just bought some bonspeed wheels rears are 20x10 BS 5.75 when i put the wheel on it looks like the wheel (no tire on wheel) is going to hit the fender. Car is stock. A 5.75 BS shouldnt be an issue i thought?

    Looking at 18x8.5 rims front and back 225front and 275 rears, with 6.7 bs, think it'll fit on 71 chevelle without spacers on front? Disc in front drums in rear.

    Hi I have a stock 1971 chevelle like the red one and I really liked the model and tire size but on the website I see 2 models of 18x11 rear wheels what specific model are you using on the red chevelle? front and rear, "TTR19-???????" They would help me a lot, since I am looking for some tires for my car

    Great job! I am so confused on what wheels I want to get for my car, there are so many choices out there. I'm going to stay conservative on both ends, 18x8 front, 18x9 or 18x10 in the rear. My measurements show about a 5.5" to 6" backspace for the rears. FYI the rear end is not centered on my car, 1/2" difference from one side to the other in relation to the wheel well. Either that or the body is not centered. Not sure.

      I'm curious, what did you end up going with?

    • @ekitching
      @ekitching ปีที่แล้ว

      @@patrickbranen5362 I haven't gotten around to putting new wheels and tires on the car yet. I like Weld wheels. The back I measured with a tool that fit onto the tires that I have, 285-18's. Looks like a 6" backspace is about perfect. 9.5 or 10" wide wheel will fit no problem. Fronts I haven't measured yet. Car needs other work, brakes especially. Master/booster need replacing. Hell of a car I will tell you. Love it.

      Im running 18x8's in the front and 18x9.5's in the rear. They clear all the way around and look sweet.@@ekitching

  • @mikebalzer9671
    @mikebalzer9671 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I had done some calculations and mock up with angle iron and all thread for a 1971 chevelle stock not tubed or anything for a set of 18" Rocket wheels
    FRONT
    8" ___4.5 Back Spacing
    9"___5.25 BS
    9.5"__5.5 BS
    REAR
    9.5 ___5.5 BS
    10"____6.0 BS
    11"____6.6 BS
    and of course you need to round to the nearest size you can get but these numbers checked out.
