Did you remove the black top portion on the rails, I don’t have the silver tracks, is that underneath after you unscrew?
I didn’t remove anything from the rails on the car. It’s how it was already
Brought this product followed your video, we got the front bar on but are struggling with the back bar. We have checked they are both facing the correct way smooth facing the back. Just can’t seem to pull the teeth out enough. Can you offer any advice please.
You mean the part that locks onto the rail right? Unscrew that screw enough so it can go in. Maybe got stuck in housing ? Tap around. Should pull out

Great video and I seem to have the right roof rack and crossbars but for whatever reason the grooves will not sit flush and so it doesn’t tighten. What am I doing wrong?
Front and back rails are different size probably. Switch them. Make sure all is loose before lining up
what happens if the short thread doesnt grab when tightening?

Yeah, install only if actually need it. At high speeds that pretty normal. Under 80mph it’s not bad . I have roof rack on top of mine so louder.
I had the same issue, but after watching this video I saw that the front rail ribbed part needs to be facing forward, after I re installed it, no more noise.
Does a roof rack like this hurt your gas mileage very much?
Never really checked. Possibly a little , if have roof rack. Not really just the cross bars alone

Yeah. You’ll have to install those first. Before can put cross rails. So more expenses for you 🥲

@@HowToWithLech I need to load a kayak into the roof. I'm looking for an accessory that I can add to the ends to make the racks longer. Isn't that what the open ends are for?
@@dee_b_wildin from what i seen there is attachements that connect to the top of these rails to connect a kayak too. i just put on a roof rack on top of the rails. and i throw my raft right on top of the roof rack and just bungee down.

Good video, but dude you are scratching the shit out of your car! LOL. On the product side it is cheap Chinese Junk, bought it and sent it back. I went with the OEM equipment.

I noticed today, the ends do not lock. I can pull them all out with the lock in any position.......

Cross bars are not bad , when compared to having a roof rack on them. With the roof rack even worse lol. I need it so have it…. But yeah nothing is better. 80mph and up gets loud.

Crap design, find a better on the market, locks are looks, double sided tape to hold vinyl strips, china hardware, good luck
