I’m 100% certain this isn’t how you setup a sitz bath. You first fill the basin with warm water until 1/2 or 2/3 full. Then, you fill the bag with hot water and insert the tubing. The hot water bag is to keep the water warm, since you’ll be sitting in it for about 20 minutes.

This is not how you use it. You fill the tub part with water about 2\3s and sit in it. You use the bag to fill with warm/hot water. When the water gets cold or luke warm you add in more water to keep it warm and at a comfortable temp.

Your explanation makes much more sense! So you pretty much sit on it and use the hot warm water to keep the basin water hot! But I don’t necessarily think this way is the wrong way either. As long as the area being affected is being stimulated I think that’s all that matters in the end

They are similar, yes! However, generally a sitz bath has less pressure than a bidet and is mainly used for things like wound healing and discomfort.

@@yvonnetaylor702 yeah sitting in water definitely helped me with constipation (for some reason it softens stool for me when I'm having a hard time), just hoping that it wont affect bowel function and i dont have to rely on it

At the end of the day as long as the area giving you discomfort is having some sort of stimulation whether it’s by having to sit on the warm water so having it sprayed continuously by the tip nozzle then that’s all that matters
