  • Today we are disassembling a Roosa Master diesel fuel injection pump.
The pump model is: DBGFC 437-7AF and it belongs to a 1968 Allis Chalmers HD4 Crawler Loader.
This pump is not delivering fuel to the injectors. The metering valve and plungers are stuck. The pump and tractor sat for nearly a decade without use prior to this rebuild and likely contributed to the lack of movement.
In the next video in this series I will show you how to rebuild this pump from scratch, successfully, for the first time.

Thank you so much for the extremely informative video. Loved the birds eye view camera angle it was super helpful, and fully identifying the pump helped me out a lot also. Side note your property is beautiful.

You are most welcome! I'll be sure to use it again if I do more! And thank you! It's a family spot I had the luck and pleasure of spending the better part of 2020 due to Covid.
Note: If anyone reading this has a machine needing some work in NS now, I'd love to help!

Trying to start a HD3 looks like I’m in the same boat as you and just north of Huntsville

Thank you for putting this video together! I was wondering if you could tell me if there is a seal or some type of gasket for that throttle assembly? I have a massive leak coming from it and don’t have a seal of any kind but I’m able to find but trying to figure out if I should just throw an O-ring on or something else?

Life got in the way. The machine runs well. Everything was filmed, but I never finished editing because no one watched the other videos that weren’t specifically for the pump. 400 views vs 23,000 for the rebuild as of early 2022 lol
