hi brother!. my laptop is lenovo thinkpad L470. recently i changed the battery due to bad backup and it automatically turend of. everytime i switch on my laptop both battery and cmos error shows and asked me to change the date and time everytime. but now i changed my battery . but also now my laptop automatically turns off when it comes around 50 percentage. when i switch on ,again it shows o271.date error and 0251 cmos checksum bad again.
i also replaced the battery again tcheck the battery. evennow it persists. i don't know what to do. i really want to know that is the problem in laptop. do have to change the CMOS battery or it may be due to charging IC. technicians won't clearly say and i could really use your help. it will be really amazing if u can try and read my comment and reply. thank youu brother.

You should change the CMOS battery and then go from there.
