WOW !!! I have another business, and starting a screen printing shop, I wish I would have learned this before. This is a MUST see video, and take advantage of the spreed sheet. Thank you so much RYONET.
Literally in the final steps of getting my screen printing business off the ground... i've got a few products and dvds from you guys! They are all great and even watching the dvds was a joy because they go into great detail but don't have that typical "tutorial" feel! Just found your youtube and insta subbed! Great stuff Ryan and Ryonet! :D
I utilize this spreadsheet in pricing all aspects of my apparel decorating. I decorate with HTV, screen print, embroidery and print yard signs both screen print & vinyl. It is easy to modify for any use what-so-ever.
Thanks for posting this video. So helpful for a newbie in this business. Question. Under Job criteria the 200 # of Shirts in Job, is that calculate as per day or per hour. Thanks.
Can't wait to use it but is this per job or all jobs for the month. Also I'm just getting started with my printing business just got my semi pro 4 color press from you where is a good place to get shirts from I have been lookin around but would like some input. Thanks
awesome video very helpful and informative...Ryan I use Microsoft excel do you think that you may have a version of this exact formula for excel...thank you I really appreciate you helping us newbies out lol
Thank you! We purchased the 4-color station and other stuff. We brought it and set it up in Haiti to help a mission.so, I want to know how can we access the spreadsheet. Please let us know, Madel.
That's incredible, awesome work! Check out this blog. There are links near the bottom to the spreadsheet! www.screenprinting.com/blogs/news/screen-printing-profit-calculator/
Hi, thank you for this video and the Excel file pretty helpful :) i was wondering if i do a front and back print job should i double the numbers in Job Criteria section?
When I print on both sides I simply change the VENDOR BLANK shirt cost on the second side to $0.00. The calculator will then produce an end cost; to which I add the two together.
how about if you just a dozen shirts, how would you charge then? I just started and not very sure on the prices but your spreadsheet is very helpful but i dont know how much to charge if i make a dozen shirts to start. thank you
Thank you for pointing this out! We have just updated the link so it should be working now. Just scroll all the way to the bottom of the page and you will find a download link under the resources section.

Such a late response.. I'm just trying to figure out what's a reasonable price to be able to sell my shirts & make profit while including the price I pay for the shirts & the printing. Basically so I do better than just breaking even.
Are you not already building art/screen fees into the price by calculating screens, art time, labor, etc.? I don't think I understand that part. Otherwise very cool spreadsheet.
You'll want to calculate those fees based upon your time spent and the value of each. For more info, check out "Made to Make it"! www.screenprinting.com/products/made-to-make-it-book?variant=5214228316201
It is great to stress the importance of including all your cost when figuring pricing. I have been saying that for years. But some of the math is off in the spread sheet. And how many shirts you may do in a month has nothing to do with the selling price of a job. That would be like Ryonet planning on selling 2000 pints of black ink but only sold 1000 so they raise the price to keep the monthly profit margin. It does not work that way. In reality you need to price at what the market will bear for your product and service and then back-peddle with the monthly expenses and production rate and adjust or tweak those so you can make the desired profit margin.
+yzuniga13sa sounds like high fashion garments will be a better fit for you then! Many contract printers make literal pennies on the shirt in order to get the larger deals. It will really depend on what you're after. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for replying. I know a few local guys that sell gym apparel making $10 - $20 per piece and they are very successful. That's kind of what I'm interested in.
+yzuniga13sa Gym apparel is blowing up with the health craze, its awesome. If you have a brand that stands out you could see a lot of success. Let us know if we can ever help at all! We have several previous shop owners on the team that can answer any questions you might have 800-314-6390
I totally disagree with this pricing model. Any business that is constantly changing prices on customers monthly is setting themselves up for failure. You must be consistent with pricing. This model leaves the shop owner constantly changing prices. I have trained thousands to successfully quote jobs in seconds using set formulas that guarantee that the shop owners' prices are consistent and accurate every time.

Hey there! We wrote a blog post about using the pricing calculator. Check it out here: blog.screenprinting.com/screen-printing-profit-calculator/
When I print on both sides I simply change the VENDOR BLANK shirt cost on the second side to $0.00. The calculator will then produce an end cost; to which I add the two together.

can you do a pricing margin for profit of selling shirts
will work on it, what are you looking for exactly?
Such a late response.. I'm just trying to figure out what's a reasonable price to be able to sell my shirts & make profit while including the price I pay for the shirts & the printing. Basically so I do better than just breaking even.

Very true, the point of the exercise is to understand what your costs are, if you keep your costs the same and print more, your margins go up.
I'm starting to like your videos, but making $500 on a 3000 shirt job doesn't seem worth it.
