    Really good explanation and execution of the concept. I think this is going to be shocking to most printers when they see just how much they are undercharging. The challenge comes in when presenting to the client who has price shopped. There will always be cheaper providers in the market. Your next step is to sharpen your marketing and selling skills around value based pricing. This is where the real profit is generated. Cost based pricing above limits your ability to profit because your focus is on the Breakeven or where you start to lose money or make money. Overall, great job Luke.

    Thank You for the info! We are in the process of re-designing our pricing scales currently for our print shop. This really helps for a reference.

    Does the final price in the price matrix include the cost of the garment or is that just for the impression cost?

    This is awesome. What about using this for DTF? I think I once played with a marix within Printavo and did the x axis as the Size of the print (since DTF transfers are priced by the sq inch). So for example column A was 1" X 1", then 1X2, then 1X3 and so on and so forth, all the way up to 12 X 12. Ended up with a giant spreadsheet but I think it was effective to getting the exact cost, and in turn pricing, for DTF.
    any thoughts on that? Maybe an easier method?

    I don’t think pricing for additional colors should be the same as pricing for additional locations. Did I miss something?

    • @printavo
      @printavo  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, you didn't miss anything, we've really simplified this down to its most basic parts. You are of course correct that you can charge another fee for colors or locations as necessary. You can always alter the spreadsheet and modify it to meet your exact needs - we just can't anticipate what will fit for every screen printer! Thanks for the comment, Dennis.

      Hi, in our shop we include that charge in the art or design fee. (Design creation, designer hourly rate and the mockup).

    Why is screen the only ones who make pricing difficult.
    DTG, embroidery, digital printing have general pricing and able to go up or down . Screen printing u have to use a formula .. what is the average cost and what profit margin you should shoot for.. seem more complicated then it needs to be.
