Im so impressed, you are giving your kids the best education, to learn about other cultures and especially when they are grown and they feel mistreated or unacpted in their country that they have options and they live somewhere else without fear.
🇭🇳😢 I’m so sorry to hear that it was difficult for you guys to obtain residency 😕. My country loves you as us all the Catrachos we thank you for the wonderful way you have spoken about us. 🇭🇳 hopefully 🙏 you will come back soon.
Hola estaba esperando sus videos tienen bonita familia soy hondureña y me alegra que estén bien y que allan escogido Dominicana esa comunidad se ve que es muy bonito y tranquilo que Dios los bendiga y proteja
This is a great video! I’m not black (but am from ATL :) but ‘I still learned a lot of course, so thank you. And traveling i often see less Black Americans… love the example your setting and teaching for your broader community. Hope you are enjoying your time with your children!
Whew busy summer! NOOO I just found you on the xpat app and you're already gone 😒 I can respect knowing what you want and not settling for less! Best wishes on the journey of your next endeavor!
Girl, it really is GORGEOUS! I miss Honduras a lot though if I am being honest. Love watching your videos! Was watching your drive through Abidjan last night
You guys are not like most peeps are nowadays, you do like diversity, and that's an awesome virtue. The government in Honduras is very questionable at this point, I gues it wasn't meant to be, you guys had to make a move. Lots of blessings to y'all.
I totally get what you are saying, as someone who went to an international school, they live in their own world and it's just diplomats and rich people. Me and my family had so much stress and felt pressured to act a certain way because of that
Thanks for sharing your journey. It's great that you were able to pivot and find a solution for your family! Can you talk about the process of finding your new jobs? Did you apply directly to the school or use the services you previously mentioned? Looking forward to following your journey!
Absolutely!! Would a video on finding non traditional/small schools abroad be helpful? The shirt version is we were lucky. There is a facebook group called Teachers On The Move and they advertise open position to teachers from all over the world and we heard about it, spoke to the director, and it seemed like a good fit for all.
@MinervesOnTheMove that video would be very interesting and helpful! Thanks for sharing the group. Really glad it worked out. I hope you enjoy your time in the DR 😀
Wow wow.. thank you so much for sharing your experience with us.. My family and are planning to visit DR then move if all goes well..! Hope and wish to meet with you in Cabrera..! Thanks.
I just want to tell you, Dominicans are very friendly, welcoming and hospitable, especially with americans since the Dominican community in NYC is about 2.5 millions.

So sad to hear that you left because of residency issues, I'm from Honduras my husband is Puerto Rican we are moving to Honduras God willing in January I hope the process of getting him Honduras residency goes well. I hope you come back to visit soon and thank you for sharing the great experience you had while living in Honduras.
We are hoping to come back again for a permanent stay. But for now we are on the move! Thanks for the comment, you are going to fall in love for sure ♥️
Thanks lady!! My most recent VLOG (about my procedure) I was this close 🤏🏽 to not vlogging about it at all because we really want this to be wholesome and family friendly. Trying to be vague and transparent at the same time because in the end it was important to share for us all. Also, glad to see one of our Day 1s back in the comments!! Thanks for watching ♥️♥️♥️
Im a single retired man looking to relocate to the DR. Can you please provide me with info on how to find a apartment. Did you use a realitor or some website if so please could you forward me the info.... Thank you
Ma’am I love it all for you and your family, I’ve watched all the other videos related to your move to DR and let me say, you are living my dream ❤ many blessings. I’m Dominican and I dream of this for me and my kids. How do you do it?
Hey there! 🌟 I just wanted to drop by and let you know how much I enjoyed your video. It's fantastic to see a black family thriving in the Dominican Republic, especially since I'm really interested in revisiting the country myself. Your video resonated with me, and I'm genuinely excited to have found your content through sharing my own video. I'm officially subscribing to your channel to keep up with your adventures. Keep up the amazing work and sharing these inspiring experiences! 👍🏾✨"
I love you guys. You are a realy cool family. My relatives live approximately 30 minutes from Cabrera but I dont konw too much about DR. I came to NYC since I was 6 years old. it looks nice and peaceful where you live. I love to see african americans living their lives peacefully without been harrassed by cops, the way they do it here in the US. Enjoy it.
You have moved to The Dominican Republic!!! I did not know. Tomorrow I will see your last vidéos. I have sent you a Whatsapp message, but I did not know is you got it. Please confirm me your new number. I also tried to contact Ian. Congratulations for thé move !!!
To get HONDURAN residency you need: $2,500 monthly income outside of working in Honduras or $1,500 per month income from retirement. Then the other is $50,000 investor way. Do your research.

What were your particular problems getting the residency? Couldn't a lawyer there help you get through the hoops? Different visa possibilities etc.??

what do you guys do about income to support your family? I know things are cheap and natural in Cabrera bujt you still need money flow.
We are teachers 👩🏾🏫
I just left Cabrera, it was way too hot, and not much variety in food.
It is very hot in Cabrera and cools down late late in the year! And there is a ton of more food options in place like Cabarete for sure
Where did you guys move from?
Honduras 🇭🇳
🇩🇴❤️🇭🇳
are you coming back to the US or your plan is to stay there?
We don’t have plans to return to the US

Hey lady! Yes I will message you from my new number!
If I ever go back home, I would live in Cabrera, no Sato Domingo, no punta cana, no Las terrenas, no sosua.
