we spent 7 weeks in the dominican republic | EXPAT LIFE in Cabrera

Today’s video is a little bit different from normal.
Instead of a travel VLOG, this video is more of an unpolished look into our experience living as expatriates in Cabrera, Dominican Republic for 7 weeks this past winter.
When we started this TH-cam channel, we did it to keep track of our family’s adventures and favorite memories from our travels. These little clips don’t relate to eachother, but they are some of my favorite moments from our time in the Dominican Republic.

Cabrera is a town of just over 5,000 people on the Dominican Republic’s North Shore. It’s over 2 hours from any of the international airports, meaning there isn’t much tourism here. There is, however, a decent community of expats & snowbirds.
Just to give you an idea on the cost of living here, for the first month we were in Cabrera, we spent $1300 on our modern, centrally located, 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom house on AirBnB.

Cabrera is a very peaceful place. I live in Rio San Juan, The vibe is similar. But there are more foreigners in Cabrera. I wonder why? but I like Cabrera a lot.
