@@libertariansasquatchfair, this isnt just a one final dlc thing, i thought of it more as "if any of these species get added in a dlc ill be happy" for me the cuban croc would be PERFECT for an anniversary animal
Personally while I love the idea I dont think we need african leopards, it would literally be identical to amur leopard in every way the only difference being biomes and region. Its my biggest issue with timber wolf and arctic wolf, bengal tiger and siberian tiger aswell as grizzly bears and himalayan brown bear
I dont think Planet zoo could ever be complete. It could however not feel incomplete with maybe another year of support if done correctly. Personally id just take the top 25 from the 2024 meta wishlist sprinkle a dwarf goat and rabbit for petting zoos on top and put them in the game. Well maybe change out one of the baboons since i dont think we really need both. That would really round out the roster and fill most of the open holes in it.
Personally, I really hope they add the African Forest Elephant and Sumatran Rhino. Both are critically endangered and would benefit from getting their names out there.
A massive mega pack it would be nice. Several animals from all the continents and biomes. I think birds are mandatory in this final pack. Impala or Kudu for the African section. A leopard species. South American monkeys. Blackbuck, chital or Nilgai for an Indian section. Some marine animals. And its fine for me 😊
Yep, planet aquarium would be awesome since planet coaster 2 is coming out soon and it mostly relates to water parks while keeping the same rollercoaster mechanic to it.
I stick with my „revisit continents“ idea after the eurasia pack, so for me most sense would make an Americas DLC. And Im sure Frontier will include one or more ungulates, since they are easy to do, espically in the current situation. If its a scenery pack then: Coati Spectacled bear (since its very high on the wishlist) Rocky Mountain Elk Bighorn Sheep or Mountain Goat Exhibit If its an animal pack: Coati Spectacled Bear Howler or Spider Monkey Rhea Rocky Mountain Elk Bighorn Sheep or Mountain Goat Sea Otter Exhibit
The walrus, the king cobra and the musk ox are the only three animals left that I feel their absence would be a detriment to the the game (albeit only very slightly). The walrus is the last iconic zoo animal left outside of exhibits and combined with the musk ox would complete the Arctic roster. Those two are the final pieces of the puzzle for me since the Arctic still feels incomplete but only barely so, it's like not having any meerkats for African sections or no capybaras for South American sections. The king cobra, meanwhile, is already represented in-game with decorations in the Indian theme and would finally add an Asian species of snake, so it's always felt strange to me from the very launch back in 2019 that it's never been added. We were cheated out of it in the last pack since it was the perfect opportunity to add it alongside the sloth bear. After my feed has been inundated with wishlists of twenty+ or even fifty+ species, I really appreciate that there's finally a speculation video with a sense of realism. We'd be extremely lucky to get eight new animals this year alone, at this stage in the game it's highly unlikely that twenty or more species will be added unless they're exhibit animals and copies of each other like the butterflies in the grasslands pack.
@@LeafProductions Imagine if guests could smell like animals can, this made me think of them having animations where they react in disgust to stuff like the rafflesia.
1. Flying birds - a parrot, raptor and small passerine 2. Coati 3. Any tamarin or marmoset 4. Tree kangaroo 5. Manatee or walrus All about the rigs and mod potential!! An updated orang with long dreadlock hair would be awesome too, maybe opening up a colobus template for modders? A Hamadryas baboon or gelada would be great too. Squirrel or howler monkey, any langur and leopard seal are honorable mentions.
I'm crossing my fingers that they give us some truly unique animals with new rigs to work with, mainly flying birds, mostly/fully aquatic animals, and more climbing species. That way we could mod in whatever other specific animals we needed based on those rigs. If I had to make a wishlist for the last DLC, it would consist of: 1: dolphin 2: parrots 3: tree kangaroo 4: sea turtle 5:eagle
my wishlist would be quite the same as yours. Especially the pelican. But these are my other 5; -stork(I know the crane rig works fine, it's just that storks use their bill making a rattle sound) -Spider monkey(Unique climbing animations and sounds) -Sifaka(They move so elegantly and fun on the ground, jumping on their hind legs.) -Tamandua -Tree porcupine(North American or a south American species, I'm good with either) Like you said, we basically need one! xD :)
There's so many, but the little Zoo Tycoon 2 player that has been in me since I was a kid wants a Secretary Bird so bad. They don't even need flight animations if Frontier doesn't want to bother with adding flying birds (although I hope they do.) The Secretary Bird is just so majestic and can make absolutely amazing exhibits with. Shoutout to the Scarlet Ibis too! Ah! There's so many animals I want...
Baboon (Africa has never gotten a DLC primate and baboons are such classic zoo icons they're a must have) Pelican (another waterfowl, beautiful and iconic) New World Monkey (preferrably Spider Monkey as they are so so cool to watch and swing around, but it'll probably end up being the howler.) Coati (South America needs more animals and this ones at the top of the meta wishlist, can't see how it doesn't get in.) Some sort of medium sized colourful bird (Scarlet Ibis, Ground Hornbill, Victoria Crown Pigeon we need more small birds like the kiwi.)
Honestly, the game felt complete to me when it added the platypus in the wetlands dlc. If that was the last DLC I would have been content. I'm very thankful it wasn't, but the game already feels more that complete for me (if birds, domestics, and aquatic animals are off the table at least)
Controversial response here: working playgrounds. Any animal would be fine with me, but to me no zoo is complete without a playground. It is just weird that we still don’t have any. When I think of my childhood zoo visits I can honestly tell you nothing about the animals, yet I know which ones had my favorite playgrounds. And even now as an adult I can appreciate well designed playgrounds in zoos. Even if it is just because they draw in the children allowing me to watch the animals in peace
If I had to make the final pack, I would go with 1: Rabbit, any kind we just need one 2: Sea turtle, Semi-aquatic, extremely unique rig 3: Tree kangaroo, I agree with everything leaf said here 4: Secretary bird, how is this not in the game already 5: Pallas cat, I know we already have a lot of cats but I love this one 6: walk-through exhibit for parrots 7: walk-through exhibit for barn owls 8: walk-through exhibit for various small birds (finches, robins, starlings, etc) that would work similar to the butterfly exhibit we have now While I do want things like the walrus, coatimundi, or new world monkeys, I think those wouldn't be that hard to make look good with existing rigs, but I don't know anything about making PZ mods so maybe I'm wrong.
nile crocodile, sea otters, walrus, american flamingo, and hamadryas baboon would all be cool. We also have some exhibit animals that are criminally missing from the game such as the king cobra, emerald tree boa, and a bird for a walkthrough exhibit maybe lorikeets
Like always, sir, fun video! Some really fun choices and TBH if the final pack gets us both the tree kangaroo ~and~ the coati? I'll be pretty happy. Though there's a few others that would make me really happy - golden lion tamarin, Reeve's muntjac, scarlet ibis, tamandua, and the slow loris. Burrowing owls too! I prioritized all these over a few other things I really want just because I think it would really benefit to have them formally in-game (e.g., enrichment and special animation-wise, anyway). There's a few other things I'd really want but TBH they could be or already are mods (ocelot, spectacled bear, black-footed ferret) or are so outside the box there's just no way they find their way in the game (cloud rat, sugar glider). NA river otters would be rad too so long as we got a slide and new enrichment with them... But without that? It's a pass. OH! I am also all-in on the pelican now. You're right. We need those.
To be honest I have no idea for any new animals to be added but what I do want is a redesign of every base game animal. Because let’s be honest here they look super outdated and there’s mods out there to make ‘em better but that doesn’t help people who are on console or just people who don’t want to download mods. Plus they shout really fix the bloody traversable area of the base game animals, like put in a log in the elephant habitat and the whole area isn’t accessible anymore!
I doubt it will be done but I always thought the exhibit system needs an overhaul. I personally think the exhibits should snap together like lego to make them as big as you see fit. It would make them feel less cramped for the larger reptiles you can put in them. Maybe even just basic size and shape varieties would be good enough, like cylinder shaped exhibits, or tinier ones for inverts that can fit in the same space as a window. it would be a great way to implement giant aviaries for parrots and such if you could do it with walk through exhibits as well. I would also love to see fully aquatic exhibits or aquariums, or just any way to have fish in general. I think it would be amazing if you could stock bodies of water with fish, like koi or cichlids. Idk if this is a common demand, I just really like aquariums and terrariums and think the system for them is disappointingly bare bones. In a perfect world they wouldnt even be pre made, you would sculpt the terrain inside yourself and decide what foliage and decorations to put in. That might be asking for a bit much though (It also goes without saying that I think there needs to be more birds and reptiles to go with an overhaul like that)
In no particular order, any type of leporidae, doesn't even matter which at this point, snapping turtle, virginia opossum, dik dik, gerenuk, chamois, bush dog, palm civet... We could fill an entire year of DLC with ideas :( what's important to me at this point is to have diverse enough animal rigs that modding could help polish the roster for the years to come, but saddly I doubt the (possibly) last DLC would have highly different animals that what we've had so far.
Well now that I finally got my Takin the only animal I really REALLY want are Walrus. No particular reason I just like them. But if I'm going for a top 5, probably Habitat 1. Walrus 2. White-Faced Saki 3. Raccoon Dog 4. Musk Ox or Himalayan Tahr 5. Pallas Cat Exhibit 1. Black Mamba, King Cobra, Coral Snake or Gaboon Viper 2. Irwin's Turtle 3. Jackson's Chameleon, Bearded Dragon or Frilled Lizard 5. Cane Toad Walkthrough Exhibit 1. Either a bunch of Birds of Paradise or Hummingbirds 2. Linne's Two-Toed Sloth 3. Toco Toucan 4. Slender Loris 5. Maybe some more butterflies Technically I want Green Anaconda as a habitat animal but I'm putting this one on it's own because I could see it being either Edit: If im going to be honest, loose the subtitles... it's surprisingly very distracting
I want tools to let us add custom animals including custom animations/behaviors and audio. Let us make our own animals. I wouldn't even mind if Frontier had to approve of the mods (to make sure we don't get jaguar mods etc). Let the modders fill up all the gaps
Honestly i was disappointed the north america pack didnt include coyotes, whitetail, mule deer and elk. I would love to see the inlcusion of American Pikas they would be a challenge to build for but oh so cute! Those would be my top 5. For now I am very appreciative of the wonderful modding community.
I wish they can make a pack like Marine Mania (Zoo Tycoon 2) but it probably isn't gonna happen due to limited animals in the DLC (if it's not an animal pack) and they haven't made the habitat types for those animals.
I know its out of nowhere, but i would love some fully aquatic animals like sharks and fish. I dont even think fish would be hard to implement since they dont need complex animations. Sharks would be great for the conservation aspect of the game, and dont have the same ethical concerns as housing marine animals. Id pay double for a shark expansion pack tbh
Goodfellow's tree kangaroo, kinkajou, south american coati, white crested turaco, blackbuck, chital, sumatran rhinoceros and southern ground hornbill are some of the animals i wanted to see
Birds, oh my God almighty we need more birds. I wanted more cranes, ibises, birds of prey, parrots and toucans, maribou stork and shoebill. Also would have liked many more North American animals. A coatimundi would have been incredible, I love them so much!! Aquarium creatures really would have pulled it all together for me. I really love my touch pools okay? I can't wait for the modding community to really get launched into full throttle. Custom sounds, custom animations would really help me warm up to the idea once we're sure Planet Zoo's devteam is never coming back. I simply can't keep up with updates having a fulltime job.
Tree kangaroos I definitely agree with! I could've seen them the other day at the safari park but unfortunately missed them. It'd awesome to seem 'em in this game! For me personally birds of prey are a necessity in this game, a California condor or eagle (any kind really) would be my top pics.
The end is near…. Stop being so theatrical it’s not like it will get taken down…. Just no new dlc, it’s still an amazing game that will be played years from now and it just came out new on console
I really just hope they could've done some basic feature updates. Better visitor logic, out of bound backdrop customization, better macro terraine features randomization, so much more.
Nah what planet zoo needs to do is release every animal possible. Literally. Like make the FINAL PACK literally called the FINAL PACK and put in every single land animal that is found on this earth. Then continue to make a new game called Planet Sea where all of the marine animals join the family, but screw the packs this time, just put all the animals in right off the bat.
My wish list •squirrel monkey •Nile crocodile •hamadryas baboon •walrus •American black bear •pelican •ocelot •African leopard I hope that at least a few of these come to the game
I would honestly like to see them do a South Africa, India or Japan Pack for their last DLC for Specific Animals though, I'd go with Chacma Baboon, Secretary bird, Honey Badger, Kakapo, Japanese Raccoon Dog, Indian Leopard, Rhesus Macaque, & African Leopard
India falls within Southeast Asia, Africa with Africa and Japan with Eurasia. There's no way we're getting such a pack. It's probably gonna be bird centered.
For the last dlc of the planet zoo i would like to see a Safari pack with some servals , honey badgers , secretary birds , hamadryas baboons and black mambas Or The avian pack will be a perfect last dlc with some pelicans , pheasants , crowned cranes , guineafowls , burrowing owls , roadrunners and last the hummingbirds fit he walkthrough exhibits For the anniversary update the Nile crocodile or the . American black bear will be perfect❤
I'm dying to see the Atlantic puffin added to the game, additionally Id love to see some Macaws, Mandarin ducks, or even a fully aquatic animal like maybe the Beluga (although I do realize this is a massive stretch 😂)
Would love to see some birds of prey. Also as someone who takes care of a real veiled chameleon everyday, I'd love to see any kind of chameleon. Would be cool to see their hunting animations. There's some good choices between the Panther, Veiled, Jackson's, and Parsons.
Taking in your most wanted species in. It would probably take at least 2 packs for all of them to get in. Mainly because of the Tree Kangaroo. The other 4 animals could reasonably be put within an Americas pack if you stretched the Walrus living in the arctic to be an American animal, but Tree Kangaroo solely living within the Oceania range makes it extremely difficult to fit within the rest of the animals in a singular pack unless they went with something more generic…
I could mention animals that I want but that are a kind of common sense among the community from what I saw in the comments, but so as not to sound monotonous, as a big fan of antelopes, I feel that frontier left out the most iconic ones, perhaps nor other Zoo games, but iconic in the sense that we see them in zoos, emphasizing Greater Kudu, blackbock and Elands!
If anything we need more none-exhibit reptiles, like reticulated python or a green anoconda it would be a great building challenge really dont understand why people want birds so much, in a game like planet zoo they would all act the same with just different colors, I mean I love birds but they are just not as fun as mammeles
I think you've covered a lot of the more obvious choices that are talked about often in various places - Tree Kangaroo, Coati, Pelican, Walrus, Howler Monkey - adding in the Muskox, a Baboon and the Secretary Bird as also very popularly discussed animals, as well as a duck for uniqueness; though you mention the Pelican over the Duck they're probably both on the same level of importance. Rounding that out to 10 would likely be yet another New World Primate...but species isn't important as much as just having more options, of which the Howler Monkey only would give us a second. Looking at exhibits I think a Cobra and Chameleon are the most obviously missing of all of the animals. I have my own personal wants, but I'm thinking overall these 12 animals may should be the priority. Not biased in this, I don't even care about 2 of them, and my top wanted animals don't even make the list.
Well, this time I will not include any aviary birds; they might be used for Planet Zoo 2 if they come up with it. But if this is gonna be the last dlc, I wonder Frontier can come up with any of these types of Animals. Great White Pelican African Leopard Common Tsessebe/Topi Honey Badger Canada Goose Brown/Tufted Capuchin Monkey Domestic Dog (Either Bloodhound, Doberman Pinsher, Dalmatian, English Bulldog, Border Collie, Pit-Bull, or German Shepherd) Domestic Cat (Either Siamese Cat, British Shorthair, Sphynx Cat, Abyssinian Cat, American Bobtail, Russian Blue, or American Wirehair) Domestic Pig (Either Large White, British Saddleback, Tamworth, Potbelly Pig, Large Black, Landrace, or Yorkshire Pig) Domestic Cattle (Either Holstein, Hereford, Simmential, Jersey, Texas Longhorn, White Park, Swedish Red Poll, American Angus, or Dairy Shorthorn) Domestic Horse (Either Arabian Horse, Friesian Horse, Mustang, Thoroughbred, American Paint Horse, Lipizzan, Marwari Horse, or Lusitano) Domestic Goat (Either American Lamancha, Anglo-Nubian, Alpine Goat, American Pigmy, Saanen Goat, Chamois Coloured goat, Bagot goat, or Sirohi Goat) Domestic Sheep (Either Dorset Sheep, Texel Sheep, Merino Sheep, Cameroon Sheep, Scottish Blackface, or Assaf Sheep) Red Junglefowl Vulturine Guineafowl Yellow Mongoose Common Rabbit American Black Bear Impala Gerenuk Kori Bustard Cattle Egret Marabou Stork Black-Backed Jackal Southern Ground Hornbill South American Coati Coquerel's Sifaka Aye-Aye Greater Galago/Bushbaby Banteng Northern Plains Gray Langur Nile Crocodile Rhesus Macaque Lion-Tailed Macaque Black Mamba North American Porcupine White-Tailed Deer King Cobra Reticulated Python African Rock Python Jackson's Chameleon Veiled Chameleon Common Pheasant Boxer Turtle Golden Snub-Nosed Monkey Common Garter Snake Kirk's Dik-Dik Frilled Lizard Domestic Donkey (either American Mammoth, Provence Donkey, or Amiatian Donkey) Mountain Goat
I couldn't agree more with these! I made a new world inspired Wishlist with similar animals, but I would absolutely love to see more South American animals hands down!
Ideally, PZ would go full steam ahead with birds (habitat birds if flying birds really just aren't possible) and monkeys (especially New World). Other than that, my personal favorite is the Patagonian mara.
fully agree with this list, itd give a good variety of animals were missing. id only *add* things to this for an animal pack, such as an arboreal reptile (crocodile monitor) and plenty other good options out there we could really really use. i really hope we get some varied rigs in this last pack Edit: also rabbits! i want a bunny rig so bad
They said they wanted a complete roster of 200 species and the need 13 more animals to make that number. If it were up to me I would release a pack containing 12 species; 6 habitat and 6 exhibit. Then release the final animal as the final anniversary bonus. We could call the pack something like Zookeeper's Collection or Biodiversity pack For habitat animals my choices are - Andean Bear, Markhor, Pallas Cat, Marabou Stork, Tree Kangaroo, and Walrus For Exhibit - Emerald Tree Boa, King Cobra, Madagascan Day Gecko, Veiled Chameleon, Tomato Frog, Alligator Snapping Turtle And finally the last anniversary animal would be the Budgerigar in walkthrough exhibit
vultures would blow my mind, but I agree howler monkeys, pelicans and tree kangaroos would be amazing. wish they'd do a community voted expansion, think that would be a lot of fun to vote on.
I really want them to get over their weird disdain for birds. Sure, we probably aren't getting flying ones for some reason, even though they'd work stellarly with the Walkthroughs, whatever. Still. We don't have Pelicans, Storks, Secretaries or Seriemas, Bustards, Roadrunners, Ground Hornbills, Guineafowl; hell, peafowl aside we don't have any other fowl. No Trumpeters, no Shoebill, no Spoonbill. We have one crane, one waterfowl, one regular fowl. No Screamer, no Kakapo. It's like they're trying to pretend non-penguin/rattite birds aren't real, or something.
Without the Walrus, Planet Zoo will always be incomplete. They are my favorite animal. We have seals and sea lions. But no Pacific Walrus. Id also like to have the rest of the missing North Armerican cornerstone animals. Namely, the Whitetail Deer, Black Bear, and Elk. Juguarmundi. Nile Croc. MORE primates is a big thing. I can do without birds just because they never opened that can of worms really. There are also about 18 zillion other exhibit animals they could add. Including birdhouses and the Chinese Giant Salamander. I feel like they could add the Alligator Snapping Turtle. The coolest animal that no one has ever heard of is the Aardwolf. Which is actually the smallest memeber of the Hyena family. Oh and i would LOVE to have Puffins. I mean i guess you could go on and on. But what could they really do to make a Planet Zoo 2 stand out? Planet Zoo already tests most PCs, so much so it almost never made it to console. Im gonna feel ripped off if they announce Planet Zoo 2 before Console Edition has been out for more than 2 years.
Honestly I'm kind of excited for development to be done with the game. I can finally dive into all the mods and not have to worry about updates messing up the files
Coati, howler, patagonian mara and rhea are all i need to feel content with SA roster as a Southamerican native. Ocelot would be a great as well but i need the first four to feel like nothing important is missing from SA. The i think we need a pelican, a duck, an african bird ( grey crowned crane mostly), a baboon, the musk ox, the blackbuck, the markhor and the Palla's cat. Tree kangaroo, echidna and monitor is all that is trully missing from Australia.
I just want the DLC packs to come out in a reasonable time on console. We already had to wait all through covid with NO Planet Zoo. It was pretty ridiculous considering they had no problem releasing JWE's on console right away.
Birds, give me some more crumbs of birds please frontier. - a duck - a pelican - another African mixed habitat bird - more tropical birds If we got 11 ungulates in one year I really hope frontier sees what people have been saying and gives us more than 1 monkey and 1 bird.
My top five wishlist would be (not counting aviary birds): 1. Rabbit 2. Pelican 3. Duck (maybe the muscovy, mallard, or mandarin, as they're the most common in captivity, but any will do) 4. Stork 5. Walrus And counting aviary birds: 1. Parrot 2. Toucan 3. Bird of prey 4. Pheasant 5. Hornbill
I just want more small arboreal animals that aren't monkeys/lemures... currently i don't even have enough to finish my little climbers house -3- tree kangaroos and coati would be perfect TToTT
I am begging on my knees for a pelican dear god. I also think so many people want the secretary bird we can't end without it....and then personally, I would be offended if support ended without budgies in the walkthrough exhibit.
I have yet to see someone say the African Leopard. Listen I get we have a lot of big cats, and a lot of African animals, but it is the last of "The Big Five" that aren't in the game and it bugs me more than it should.
Greater kudu, common eland, Kenyan impala, roan antelope, waterbuck, honey badger, Nile crocodile, grey crowned crane, secretary bird, bat eared fox, black backed jackal, olive baboon, elk, white tailed deer, Florida panther, bald and golden eagle, bighorn sheep, mountain goat, muskox, and American black bear are my top animals needed.
Hello Leaf, it would be interesting to have a video where you talk about the animals of the last DLC, which would have the ideal distribution of animals to have rigs to make the greatest variety of mods, taking the example of what the swan caused with a boom of mods, the missing animals or rigs that will be great to have before the DLCs stops
To make the game complete I think we need 2 more dlcs (don’t get me wrong, I’d buy 10 more, but we NEED 2 at least) The Americas animal pack 1. Walrus 2.Coati 3.Spectacled bear 4.Howler monkey 5.Golden lion tamarin 6.Any chameleon or gecko species I don’t care which 7.opossum 8. Coyote The Wings pack 1. (Similar situation the the butterflies here) rainbow lorikeets, parakeets, scarlet macaws, blue and gold macaws and cockatoos 2. African crowned crane 3. Any pelican species 4. Secretary bird 5. Mandarin duck
I still wish for manatees, I think that this animal (along with walrusses) is the last animal I really, really would want to see in Planet Zoo, but I'd also like to see Tree Kangaroos and (like probably a lot of people) birds and fish. 🤞
I agree with these choices but instead of Howler Monkey I'd go for either a type of Baboon or Gelada. Also my two dream animals to be added (well technically 3 but you already said walrus lol) is the Golden Snub Nosed Monkey and then African Leopard. My favorite animals are Leopards and my favorite animal all together is the Amur Leopard, which is in the game, but I feel like my African sections have always felt incomplete without the beautiful and powerful African Leopard. Like we have two species of Tiger, two species of Bison, two elephant, three rhino and so on. Now I know people will say we have Snow Leopard and the Clouded Leopard but they both aren't even Leopards. The Snow Leopard is even more closely related to the Tiger so there's that. Sorry for my rant, I just really want the African Leopard lol
this is unrealistic but i wish they wld aim for more like generic niches that are missing like the rabbit(definitely act way different than the small guys we have) in a way that makes it so that modders can go wild
Ok this might be a bit controversial, but I would really like a Marine Life Pack. Featuring sea animals, some of you may not be on board with this. But remember is a PC game & in the game we can make sea animals more comfortable & happy, then any real-life zoo or aquarium has ever done. Oh & we definitely need another pack featuring flying birds. So here are my suggestions for such packs……👇🏻 🪽*Flying Birds of the World Pack*🪽 American Pelicans Bald Eagles 🦅 Barn Owls Griffin Vultures Indian runner Ducks Scarlet Macaw’s Toco Toucans 🌊*Marine Life Pack*🌊 Bottlenose Dolphins 🐬 Common Clownfish Great Hammerhead Sharks Green Sea Turtles Japanese Spider Crabs Pacific Walruses Tiger Sharks West Indian Manatees
The same argument could be made for any terrestrial zoo animals - they don't suffer in a game, because it's just a game. But zoo fans know, big cats, apes and elephants aren't suffering in modern zoos. Neither are dolphins and whales. They're thriving, zoo fans are just buying the AR lies about them. But AFAIK, we should be able to have any animal we want in a *game*. Zoo Tycoon 1 let you have great white sharks, humpback and sperm whales, and do shows with them. Zoo Tycoon 2 let you have great white sharks again, leatherback sea turtles, swordfish, goblin sharks, which are species that are impossible to keep in aquariums (they just swim into walls and die, or goblin sharks live so deep they could never be taken out of the sea to be moved to a tank). We have modded baleen whales into ZT2 and I never saw anyone complain. But dare breathe the thought of dolphins or killer whales (which are absolutely thriving and doing great in human care) in PZ, and the purists absolutely lose their minds.
1. Birds
2. More Birds
3. Even More Birds
4. All of the Birds
5. Tree Kangaroo
Seconding for birds. Also fish.
I think you forgot bird
They gave us bats, why can’t they just give us flighted birds?
Parrots are a must, they'd work as a walkthrough exhibit. I really want more kinds of primates , there's so many.
A canopy update with birds and apes would be great.
i think my final wishlist would be like
#1: rabbits, i feel like this is self explanitory
#2: cuban crocodile, if we get another crocodilian, i think the cuban crocodile would make for a very unique addition compared to most of the other options,
#3: seriema: i think they would be a cool bird species, plus they are another amazing south american species
#4 elk: i mainly want them for their sounds,
#5 a monitor: preffereably a tree monitor or a crocodile monitor, but, they just need to give monitors the ability to climb
Rabbit is so goated
Crocodile and monitor for the final pack would be such a kick to the nuts.
Fr
also a huge fan of the elk! I think that would really round out the north america section
@@libertariansasquatchfair, this isnt just a one final dlc thing, i thought of it more as "if any of these species get added in a dlc ill be happy" for me the cuban croc would be PERFECT for an anniversary animal
Honestly, I find it criminal that the coyote, walrus, african leopard, musk ox, and sambar deer are absent.
I still dream of having parrots and macaws in my zoo
Same bestie
I dont think Planet zoo could ever be complete. It could however not feel incomplete with maybe another year of support if done correctly.
Personally id just take the top 25 from the 2024 meta wishlist sprinkle a dwarf goat and rabbit for petting zoos on top and put them in the game. Well maybe change out one of the baboons since i dont think we really need both. That would really round out the roster and fill most of the open holes in it.
Amen 🫶🙏
Personally, I really hope they add the African Forest Elephant and Sumatran Rhino. Both are critically endangered and would benefit from getting their names out there.
A massive mega pack it would be nice. Several animals from all the continents and biomes. I think birds are mandatory in this final pack. Impala or Kudu for the African section. A leopard species. I want planet sea. A whole new simulation game about conserving marine animals like whales and dolphins and narwhals haha
Omg yes
beggggging for marine life 😭
Yep, planet aquarium would be awesome since planet coaster 2 is coming out soon and it mostly relates to water parks while keeping the same rollercoaster mechanic to it.
I feel like we have a buffet of mammals, and a lunchable of birds.
Jimmy Buffett Animal Pack
and a cookie of Crocadillians
I stick with my „revisit continents“ idea after the eurasia pack, so for me most sense would make an Americas DLC. And Im sure Frontier will include one or more ungulates, since they are easy to do, espically in the current situation.

Ah yes, my favourite Canadian animal, the Coatimundi.
coat-eh-mundi
Ehhhhmazzzzing
Musk ox don’t smell good
@@LeafProductions Imagine if guests could smell like animals can, this made me think of them having animations where they react in disgust to stuff like the rafflesia.
I really hope they give us walk in bird enclosures like they did with the bats 🤞🤞
I need the tamandua! A tree dwelling anteater? Yes please!
1. Flying birds - a parrot, raptor and small passerine
2. Coati
3. Any tamarin or marmoset
4. Tree kangaroo
5. Manatee or walrus
All about the rigs and mod potential!!
If I had to make a wishlist for the last DLC, it would consist of:
1: dolphin
2: parrots
3: tree kangaroo
4: sea turtle
5:eagle
my wishlist would be quite the same as yours. Especially the pelican. But these are my other 5;
-stork(I know the crane rig works fine, it's just that storks use their bill making a rattle sound)
-Spider monkey(Unique climbing animations and sounds)
-Sifaka(They move so elegantly and fun on the ground, jumping on their hind legs.)
-Tamandua
-Tree porcupine(North American or a south American species, I'm good with either)
Like you said, we basically need one! xD :)
There's so many, but the little Zoo Tycoon 2 player that has been in me since I was a kid wants a Secretary Bird so bad. They don't even need flight animations if Frontier doesn't want to bother with adding flying birds (although I hope they do.)
The Secretary Bird is just so majestic and can make absolutely amazing exhibits with. Shoutout to the Scarlet Ibis too! Ah! There's so many animals I want...
Baboon (Africa has never gotten a DLC primate and baboons are such classic zoo icons they're a must have)
Pelican (another waterfowl, beautiful and iconic)
New World Monkey (preferrably Spider Monkey as they are so so cool to watch and swing around, but it'll probably end up being the howler.)
Coati (South America needs more animals and this ones at the top of the meta wishlist, can't see how it doesn't get in.)
Some sort of medium sized colourful bird (Scarlet Ibis, Ground Hornbill, Victoria Crown Pigeon we need more small birds like the kiwi.)
What he said
You have incredible taste my friend. Charlie you have revolutionized the community and i agree with you wholeheartedly.
Yeah
1. Coyotes
2. Birds
3. Aquatic animals
4. Secretary bird
5. Walrus
We NEED the coyotes!!
My wishlist is
1) Greater roadrunner
2) Spectacled bear
4) Coyote
3) Pelican
4) Manatee
5) New world monkeys (howler, spider, squirrel)
6) Baboons
I wish this game was released on the Nintendo Switch
Honestly, the game felt complete to me when it added the platypus in the wetlands dlc. If that was the last DLC I would have been content. I'm very thankful it wasn't, but the game already feels more that complete for me (if birds, domestics, and aquatic animals are off the table at least)
Amen i am a platypus Stan
Controversial response here: working playgrounds. Any animal would be fine with me, but to me no zoo is complete without a playground. It is just weird that we still don’t have any. When I think of my childhood zoo visits I can honestly tell you nothing about the animals, yet I know which ones had my favorite playgrounds. And even now as an adult I can appreciate well designed playgrounds in zoos. Even if it is just because they draw in the children allowing me to watch the animals in peace
VERY GOOD CHOICE LINDA
I wasn't able to just pick 5
Secretary bird
Shoebill
Tamandua
Sharks
Scarlet ibis
Nile crocodile
Sea turtles
Coati
Owls
Blue spix macaw
Serval
If I had to make the final pack, I would go with
1: Rabbit, any kind we just need one
2: Sea turtle, Semi-aquatic, extremely unique rig
3: Tree kangaroo, I agree with everything leaf said here
4: Secretary bird, how is this not in the game already
5: Pallas cat, I know we already have a lot of cats but I love this one
6: walk-through exhibit for parrots
7: walk-through exhibit for barn owls
8: walk-through exhibit for various small birds (finches, robins, starlings, etc) that would work similar to the butterfly exhibit we have now
While I do want things like the walrus, coatimundi, or new world monkeys, I think those wouldn't be that hard to make look good with existing rigs, but I don't know anything about making PZ mods so maybe I'm wrong.
Hamadryas Baboon, Shoebill, Gerenuk, Bighorn sheep, and Blackbuck. And thats just my top 5 animals I have on my wishlist. I have a LOT more than that.
Yes!
nile crocodile, sea otters, walrus, american flamingo, and hamadryas baboon would all be cool. We also have some exhibit animals that are criminally missing from the game such as the king cobra, emerald tree boa, and a bird for a walkthrough exhibit maybe lorikeets
Aquatic aniamls, like not semi-aguatic like aquarium animals sharks, fish etc. and birds.
That might be asking for a bit much though
(It also goes without saying that I think there needs to be more birds and reptiles to go with an overhaul like that)
In no particular order, any type of leporidae, doesn't even matter which at this point, snapping turtle, virginia opossum, dik dik, gerenuk, chamois, bush dog, palm civet... We could fill an entire year of DLC with ideas :( what's important to me at this point is to have diverse enough animal rigs that modding could help polish the roster for the years to come, but saddly I doubt the (possibly) last DLC would have highly different animals that what we've had so far.
Honestly all I could ask for in planet zoo is a petting zoo dlc because I just love the idea of it
Well now that I finally got my Takin the only animal I really REALLY want are Walrus. No particular reason I just like them. But if I'm going for a top 5, probably
Habitat
1. Walrus
2. White-Faced Saki
3. Raccoon Dog
4. Musk Ox or Himalayan Tahr
5. Pallas Cat
Exhibit
1. Black Mamba, King Cobra, Coral Snake or Gaboon Viper
2. Irwin's Turtle
3. Jackson's Chameleon, Bearded Dragon or Frilled Lizard
5. Cane Toad
Walkthrough Exhibit
1. Either a bunch of Birds of Paradise or Hummingbirds
2. Linne's Two-Toed Sloth
3. Toco Toucan
4. Slender Loris
5. Maybe some more butterflies
Technically I want Green Anaconda as a habitat animal but I'm putting this one on it's own because I could see it being either
Edit: If im going to be honest, loose the subtitles... it's surprisingly very distracting
I want tools to let us add custom animals including custom animations/behaviors and audio. Let us make our own animals. I wouldn't even mind if Frontier had to approve of the mods (to make sure we don't get jaguar mods etc). Let the modders fill up all the gaps
would be cool!
Honestly i was disappointed the north america pack didnt include coyotes, whitetail, mule deer and elk. I would love to see the inlcusion of American Pikas they would be a challenge to build for but oh so cute! Those would be my top 5. For now I am very appreciative of the wonderful modding community.
Underrated animals for planet zoo (birds of prey)
so underrated!
@@LeafProductions I've always wanted a harpy eagle in my zoo
I wish they can make a pack like Marine Mania (Zoo Tycoon 2) but it probably isn't gonna happen due to limited animals in the DLC (if it's not an animal pack) and they haven't made the habitat types for those animals.
I know its out of nowhere, but i would love some fully aquatic animals like sharks and fish. I dont even think fish would be hard to implement since they dont need complex animations. Sharks would be great for the conservation aspect of the game, and dont have the same ethical concerns as housing marine animals. Id pay double for a shark expansion pack tbh
Goodfellow's tree kangaroo, kinkajou, south american coati, white crested turaco, blackbuck, chital, sumatran rhinoceros and southern ground hornbill are some of the animals i wanted to see
That monkey making that noise is killing me 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Birds, oh my God almighty we need more birds.
For me personally birds of prey are a necessity in this game, a California condor or eagle (any kind really) would be my top pics.
also futabasaurus when?
YES GUSHY!
I’d love to see the Tasmanian tiger, it could be a super expensive/rare conservation credit animal.
My wish list
•squirrel monkey
•Nile crocodile
•hamadryas baboon
•walrus
•American black bear
•pelican
•ocelot
•African leopard
I hope that at least a few of these come to the game
I would honestly like to see them do a South Africa, India or Japan Pack for their last DLC
for Specific Animals though, I'd go with Chacma Baboon, Secretary bird, Honey Badger, Kakapo, Japanese Raccoon Dog, Indian Leopard, Rhesus Macaque, & African Leopard
India falls within Southeast Asia, Africa with Africa and Japan with Eurasia. There's no way we're getting such a pack. It's probably gonna be bird centered.
For the last dlc of the planet zoo i would like to see a Safari pack with some servals , honey badgers , secretary birds , hamadryas baboons and black mambas
Or
The avian pack will be a perfect last dlc with some pelicans , pheasants , crowned cranes , guineafowls , burrowing owls , roadrunners and last the hummingbirds fit he walkthrough exhibits
For the anniversary update the Nile crocodile or the .

Frilled Lizard
Domestic Donkey (either American Mammoth, Provence Donkey, or Amiatian Donkey)
Mountain Goat
GOODFELLOWS ALL THE WAY!
Other than that, my personal favorite is the Patagonian mara.
fully agree with this list, itd give a good variety of animals were missing. id only *add* things to this for an animal pack, such as an arboreal reptile (crocodile monitor) and plenty other good options out there we could really really use. i really hope we get some varied rigs in this last pack
Edit: also rabbits! i want a bunny rig so bad
They said they wanted a complete roster of 200 species and the need 13 more animals to make that number. If it were up to me I would release a pack containing 12 species; 6 habitat and 6 exhibit. Then release the final animal as the final anniversary bonus.
We could call the pack something like Zookeeper's Collection or Biodiversity pack
For habitat animals my choices are - Andean Bear, Markhor, Pallas Cat, Marabou Stork, Tree Kangaroo, and Walrus
For Exhibit - Emerald Tree Boa, King Cobra, Madagascan Day Gecko, Veiled Chameleon, Tomato Frog, Alligator Snapping Turtle
And finally the last anniversary animal would be the Budgerigar in walkthrough exhibit
You recently created and published the ONLY animal we ever needed, the Loveland frog. It's so beautiful Leaf. Thank you so much
vultures would blow my mind, but I agree howler monkeys, pelicans and tree kangaroos would be amazing. wish they'd do a community voted expansion, think that would be a lot of fun to vote on.
Listen, I'm an ornithologist, I study birds. What I want are birds, birds, just birds.
Honestly I'm kind of excited for development to be done with the game. I can finally dive into all the mods and not have to worry about updates messing up the files
Final pack predictions:
Arboreal pack
Tree Kangaroo
Ocelot
Mongoose Lemur
(Exhibit) Scarlet Macaw
Coati
Exotic Animal Pack
Sumatran Rhinoceros
African Leopard
Sea Otter
(Exhibit) Toco Toucan
Greater Kudu
Walrus
Spectacled Bear
Mongoose
All of those are in my top 10 with others being something like a Hamadryas Baboon, Chital Deer, Gaur, Ocelot and Nile Crocodile
There are so many animals. I also agree south America is underrepresented.
However, for scenery, I really really really want bluebonnets.
AGREED rise up foliage stans
I need my boy Zooboomafoo still.
I just want the DLC packs to come out in a reasonable time on console. We already had to wait all through covid with NO Planet Zoo. It was pretty ridiculous considering they had no problem releasing JWE's on console right away.
Birds, give me some more crumbs of birds please frontier.
- a duck
- a pelican
- another African mixed habitat bird
- more tropical birds
If we got 11 ungulates in one year I really hope frontier sees what people have been saying and gives us more than 1 monkey and 1 bird.
My top five wishlist would be (not counting aviary birds):
1. Rabbit
2. Pelican
3. Duck (maybe the muscovy, mallard, or mandarin, as they're the most common in captivity, but any will do)
4. Stork
5. Walrus
And counting aviary birds:
1. Parrot
2. Toucan
3. Bird of prey
4. Pheasant
5. Hornbill
I just want more small arboreal animals that aren't monkeys/lemures... currently i don't even have enough to finish my little climbers house -3- tree kangaroos and coati would be perfect TToTT
I will also like to add some animals that are adapted to city like Sika deers in Kyoto, American opossum.
I am begging on my knees for a pelican dear god. I also think so many people want the secretary bird we can't end without it....and then personally, I would be offended if support ended without budgies in the walkthrough exhibit.
I think after planet zoo gets put down instead of a planet zoo 2 they should give it over to the modders, but we need an olinguito
Very solid selection of five to be honest, checks all the boxes!
I still want the Brids park😢
Me too!
I want the cute bush dog
Me too I love them!
I have yet to see someone say the African Leopard. Listen I get we have a lot of big cats, and a lot of African animals, but it is the last of "The Big Five" that aren't in the game and it bugs me more than it should.
add the tree anteater and u have my wishlist aswell. all of those species are still so crucial.
To make the game complete I think we need 2 more dlcs (don’t get me wrong, I’d buy 10 more, but we NEED 2 at least)
The Americas animal pack
1. Walrus
2.Coati
3.Spectacled bear
4.Howler monkey
5.Golden lion tamarin
6.Any chameleon or gecko species I don’t care which
7.opossum
8. Coyote
The Wings pack
1. (Similar situation the the butterflies here) rainbow lorikeets, parakeets, scarlet macaws, blue and gold macaws and cockatoos
2. African crowned crane
3. Any pelican species
4. Secretary bird
5. Mandarin duck
Love these choices!
just 1 word....
squirrels
I agree that’s nuts
Honestly, I think we need the coyote, domestic pig, wild bactrian camel, and the Holstein cow to be a truly complete game
I agree my dear. We need all three types of Bactrian camel
No more pigs🤢
Imagine if they just added 8 agoutis
this is unrealistic but i wish they wld aim for more like generic niches that are missing like the rabbit(definitely act way different than the small guys we have) in a way that makes it so that modders can go wild
I would love a Secretary Bird and finally some little birds in the walkthrough exhibit
I want Chinchillas! :D Mountain Goat, Tragopan, Secretary Bird, Bilby, Quolls...
yes! I love the bilby!!
Aquarium animals. Sharks and Cetaceans.
1. Walrus
2. Spider Monkey
3. Debrazza's Monkey
4. Tree Kangaroo
5. A larger deer species
fantastic choices!
So here are my suggestions for such packs……👇🏻
🪽*Flying Birds of the World Pack*🪽
American Pelicans
Bald Eagles 🦅
Barn Owls
Griffin Vultures
Indian runner Ducks
Scarlet Macaw’s
Toco Toucans
🌊*Marine Life Pack*🌊
Bottlenose Dolphins 🐬
Common Clownfish
Great Hammerhead Sharks
Green Sea Turtles
Japanese Spider Crabs
Pacific Walruses
Tiger Sharks
West Indian Manatees
