Would like a deep dive into what outcomes the accounting department should seek...I feel there's more to life than passing audits and having clean financial statements...I try to spend more time with front-line people in my org, though they work miles away....I feel I provide useful information on organization efficecy, but no action is ever taken by upper mgmt.
Hey there, there are sometimes clauses you can include in the Bylaws about this, but the trade off is that it can be considered a red flag for funders / future board members who might be concerned about the organization not sufficiently representing the community (since a nonprofit is not legally "owned" by the founder, it's "owned" by the community).
