This video is just at the perfect time for us. We have our Bylaws, Vision/Mission/Goals, Statement of Faith and Code of Conduct, BoD Nomination doc and BoD Member Agreement. Our bylaws cover some of these topics, but looks like we need a document for each to go more into the details. Thank you for all you do to help us get our nonprofits going!! You are making a difference in lives, organizations, and the world! You do it with simplicity, from the heart, and clearly without adding a bunch of fluff. I appreciate it, thank you!
Thank you for doing this video! So helpful! I am currently enrolled in both of your courses and I'm learning a lot. Even though I started my nonprofit years ago, I still find the information you share to be very valuable. Anyone in the nonprofit sector should follow your channel! ❤
Hi Amber, I've been so busy and then managing all that comes with living in a country at war... but the bright spot is the hope that our project brings to the region! Another great video that is so content rich. Thanks!!!! 💜💜💜💜💜
1. How is the nonprofit accounting generally setup? Safeguard the account. 2. Agreement in place with the banking facility? 3. Setup limits for board approval, are these setup? 4. What options does the board have in these regards?
Great content and guidance. Are you able to share sample templates of the conflict of interests policy? Any suggestions on what protocol steps for conflicts where Development Director, who reports to CEO, is also spouse of Chairman of Board, for whom the CEO reports to? Any sample policies, of the 10 you note shared with us, would be most appreciated. Would you be willing to add the samples to your website? Thank you for your ministry and leadership in education.
Hey there! A good rule of thumb for conflicts of interest is that people should opt out of voting for any policy or item that would be impacting them personally or anyone related to them. I don't have samples on my site just yet but I have other resources on my site (and there are some great examples online too!).
Hey there, remember social enterprise is a business model - you can be an NGO AND be a social enterprise if you'd like. Determine your mission first, then you can think through if you'd like to use social enterprise practices to generate revenue.
Is it best to bring a person onboard specifically to create and run fundraising whether it’s online or in person Instead of doing it myself? I am the founder and CEO
If you are able to bring on someone with fundraising experience, that's always great! The CEO however still needs to participate in fundraising, that's part of the gig.
You can certainly create as the need arises! If you have the time and capacity to put these things in place early though it could save you trouble later.
Hi amber, i been watching you for a long time now and i love what your doing. i have a ngo and opened a school in west africa and need help. i was wondering if you do 1-1 couching/ mentorship? it would be a honor to work with you.

It sounds like I'm missing some context for some of these questions - was there a specific part of the video you're referencing?
@@AmberMelanieSmith I couldn’t find a video to post my questions but thought this was close. I’m looking at it more from the board’s perspective.
Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!

Hello Amber ? Should one register an organisation as a NGO or social enterprise what is your advice ?

Loving the content! Do you have a class you can take or offer to those just getting started?
Hey there! I do have some courses at foundertofulltime.com/

We only have 5 volunteer board members. Do we need all of these policies ASAP? Or do we only use certain ones.
You can certainly create as the need arises! If you have the time and capacity to put these things in place early though it could save you trouble later.

I think you should give us Certificates, Diplomas, or even degrees, because i think this kind of content, we are ready to graduate. Thank you.
