Setting up your camera before the set is a underrated piece of advice. I remember back in the day making sets that had detail, where the detail wouldn't be seen.
It's good advice in general for any kind of content creation, define what will and won't be "on the set" and don't worry about what's gonna be "behind the black"... unless Homestar's around, of course. For game dev and other computer modeling work, a great way to get into the "only what the player can see" mindset is to load up a Source Engine game (Half-Life, Black Mesa, Infra, etc), noclip around, and see what parts of the level are actually modeled and which aren't. ...Or, y'know, go watch Boundary Break 🤔
This is one of the most entertaining tutorials I've ever seen! It had no right to be this well animated, yet it was anyways! Also thanks for the shoutout :)
My jaw is on the floor…this is quite simply beyond professional grade video production. And I learned multiple new things even after having been animating for 6 years…
I've never seen before such an creative video. Me as a brickfilmer really feel the suffer meaking videos like that, can't really imagine the work you put in it! Respect, you deserve absolutely more subs!
This was a really cool video. If this kind of thing was done by anyone else it might get kinda boring, but your fluent and exaggerated animation style makes it so much more entertaining!!
This was absolutely extremely awesome yo I really love how you were really funny but at the same time you were sticking to the whole point and topic and you explained the whole thing so well 🙏👏😁
Hey man, I really enjoyed this video, great tips aswell, might use this to make my own sets a little better. You are a really good animatior and so underrated, it seems like the algorithm doesnt support brickfilms like it used to. You definetly gained a sub!
Thanks man! The TH-cam algorithm definitely makes it hard for Lego animators to grow due to how long it takes to make just a few minutes of video. But I am pretty happy with my following! 😁
This has gotta be one of the best cases of quality > quantity tutorial. Brief and to the point, and being hilarious on top of it. It surely contrasts watching some monetone monologue with no cuts 20 mins at a time-kind of tutorial. I will be shouting you out through a megaphone at my local town square for sure
This is great! Not only is this a super useful guide for saving money, but the humor feels like it was taken straight out of a Lego Movie. Great work. Also about the "Cut in half" sound, the first one sounds like a Smash Bros. Sound, and the two after sound like a sound from Splatoon
I love how your content is engaging while being funny at the same time! Lots of things about it (Like you voice and the way you talk) remind me of the Lego Movie!
Hey I love your animation style and you are one of the first people who animates yourself talking with a lego figure and I really like that cause you can do a lot more things
WOW YOU'RE AMAZING! The smoothness, the build up and release, it's all fantastic. You somehow made it feel like Lego has squash and stretch! All around incredible dude
The micromodels in the background thing reminds me of one thing this one castle in Disneyland has (or have if there are others doing it), forced perspective.
This is one heck of a high quality tutorial... Its short, useful and really entertaining. Also setting up the camera beforehand is simple yet genius, I should do that from now on, thanks!
This was fantastic. Not only was it informative, but the animation was great and entertaining. I am about to start getting back into stop motion myself and the price has been a big struggle, so these tips came at the perfect time for me.
Rather intriguingly a lot of the tips here for saving money on lego are also really similar to the tips used to save performance on game 3D models. I found that kinda funky.
Kilroy was here (I always think fast paced stop motion animation’s have a really nice fun energy to them, I love the work that goes into that kind of energy)
MY GOD this is so good my guy you are so underrated not only was the tutorial GREAT! it was also really entertaining! you have earned a sub and a long time viewer! :D
This man made an amazing and useful tutorial into hilarious and entertaining content. This guy is underrated af.

Ya, that trick was been a big game changer for my set building. It really helps stretch the Lego you have to create a seemingly massive set!

This guy ngl sounds a lot like Emmet from the lego movie, energy and all. Perfectly fitting for the content he makes.
My jaw is on the floor…this is quite simply beyond professional grade video production. And I learned multiple new things even after having been animating for 6 years…

Absolutely 10/10 tutorial. It’s actually fun to watch (also the fact that 1:53 his eyes change just for not even a second of emphasis is awesome)
the editing really makes this looks like it came straight from the lego movie!

i love all the little smearing effects with more than one copy of a brick visible for a single frame, it really helps sell the movement!
