Increíble y decepcionante como jugó Japón contra Brasil, después que le ganó a Rusia
Rather than being sad about Japan losing this match, I'm more excited about the experiences that these Japan volley youngsters are getting from the World's No.1 in Men's Volleyball Brazil. Still proud of Japan. I salute Brazil for taking the match seriously against the young Japanese Team. Big respect to both teams. Keep fighting Japan!
This is so true I'm more than happy that these young japanese players are learning on what they can improve. I just hope that Team Japan will triple their dedication and effort as they played really good on last year's VNL. Big respect to Brazil and Kudos to Japan for still fighting until the end.
As Nishida is still recovering from his injury, Japan team needs to put multiple efforts to maintain their good standing on this year's VNL. Yuki Ishikawa and Ran Takahashi were both barely present on this match. I'm glad Shimizu still playing well as well as Fukuzawa. I still believe in Team Japan. They're a great team and I'm just hoping to see fire in their eyes while playing again.

Everyone loses a match once in a while...Brazil are still clearly the best team in the world as shown by how they've reached the finals of the last 4 olympics and 5 world championships... they've been number 1 in the world rankings for 18 straight years since the ranking system began!!!!
I'm happy that Japan still fought well considering that most of the players that were present for this match were rookies for the international league scene. They're still adjusting to the environment, indeed a great experience for them. Kudos to Brazil for being as great as ever. I'm still rooting for Japan.

Brazil dominated this match lol. I'm brazilian myself but I was rooting for both. The Japanese team has a ton of potential, the players are very young, so they have time to improve their skills and learn from top tier veterans. I hope they do better during the Olympics and make the best of VNL's experiences :)

Sadly, this was expected. As much as I love Japan, Brazil is Brazil. But they are currently at 3-2, so hopefully they can pick it up this season
Doesn't help that Nishida is injured as well. Granted they may have still lost even with him there but at least they would've stood a better chance.

I do admit I like the series a lot, but that has nothing to do with liking a team. I don't want this to sound salty, but I'm just curious how you came to that conclusion.

You can tell everyone is exhausted. The schedule of VNL is brutal. That's why you're allowed to have 18 players on the roster opposed to 12 players for Olympics. So VNL is a testing battleground for new younger players to be able to get some experience. Also, it's a way for the coach of any teams to test out different line ups in preparations for the Olympics. It's sad to know that some of these players won't make it on the roster for the Olympics.

I didn't feel the energy like when they play against their first few opponents. It feels like they are reserving their energy or they are exhausted, because of so much tight schedule this 2021 VNL
Yeah I can say Brazil totally obliterated them. But their usually up beat energy isn't there since Serbia match.

Managing the squad over such a fixture list is one of the hardest skills to get right 🗓

Os Japoneses ganham de muitos gigantes aí... Nalbert é um grande comentarista, mas tem momentos em que parece que ele só lembra do voleibol da geração dele e não das gerações atuais... Prq realmente no passado os russos eram predominantes na estatura e os japoneses eram muito limitados... Mas tudo mudou muito... Hoje em dia o time do Japão está entre os melhores do mundo... Não só os titulares que disputaram a última Copa do mundo de vôlei contra o Brasil... Mas os reservas do Japão também estão jogando muito bem quando são solicitados para entrar em quadra...

Both team are mixed because this tournament is exhausting, no leaving many days to rest, so I missed Bruno, Lucarelli, Lucas and in the another side Nishida, Sekita, Ran Takahashi! Anyway, Brazil is most creative team I have seeing!

It's not always about winning. Brazil really is more experienced compared to Japan with two non-pro players who only play in University team Ran Takahashi and Tatsunori Otsuka but these cuties really showed potential facing the best players in the world. They are not only good loking but also really put passion in playing volleyball. They are worthy of our time and money.

Seems that the deciding factor of this game was serving. I only watched the highlights but it looked like Japan was opting for safe serves that were easily handled while Brazil was consistently serving strong which led to Japan returning the ball on first touch.

I actually understand how the Japan's coaching team is doing.
They really are making combinations where in there is no "exact star" go to player in it. They are making the players adjust themselves on the court and work for their points.
If skills wise: Yuki. Ran / Onodera. Yamauchi. Nishida and Sekita should be the first six.
but then if they will not use the others no experience will be carried over
I am hoping for the best. Japan is being taken seriously now by titan teams. They know this team with sometime is a strong contender in the upcoming tournaments

This match Brazil just dominate! Japan couldn’t handle the strong jump serve, so the adjusted ball set could only go for wing spikers and couldn’t use fast pipe attack or A quick for middle.
And bruno + Lucas weren’t even on the court. Imagine if they were.
