For those who are wondering what happened here and why the game ended in a draw so quickly - On the fifth move, Magnus Carlsen moved his knight to g5, a move which is considered to be an inferior option for white, as it gives black an equal position. As mentioned in the comments, it is also at this point that Carlsen offers a draw. Vidit is visibly surprised (0:53). Both players are in the top 25 in the world, (Magnus - World No.1, Vidit - World No. 24) and at that level, when you play with the white pieces, you don't give your opponent equality so early in the game, especially when you are the higher ranked player. Magnus would only play this variation if he wanted a quick finish. (As in this variation you can enter the endgame quite quickly). Magnus said after the game that he was feeling a bit unwell at the time (upset stomach). He was comfortably top of the table before the start of this round, and probably felt a draw was good enough for him. Vidit was near the bottom of the table and maybe decided that a draw against the World No. 1 and tournament leader would suit him as well. Moreover, it was a rapid/blitz tournament with multiple games in a day, so both players apparently were happy to get a quick draw.
I am confused g5 looks like the best move from that position(5th move) for white. Totally different but interesting, competitive chess players burn thousands more calories than someone just sitting around all day. Goes to show how much energy the brain requires to function at that level. It's also the reason I got rid of my gym membership and started watching chess videos. Aiming for six pack abs by the summer, fingers crossed.

Why did he offer a draw?
@@hejsans1948 uneducated chess guess here, but my guess would be that the guy on the right initiated a series of moves to happen with those first few moves, and maybe the guy on the right realized this and knew his number was up. again, i've played chess a handful of times, so i may be completely wrong here. lol.

@@strathmore7316 yes it was a draw. The right guy said it in his TH-cam video
@Jebus Bhrist It was a draw. You can tell for certain because Vidit placed the kings on opposite color tiles, indicating half a point for both players.
