Before we begin to say things like "some of these girls have major attitudes" and "talking over each other is not mature", this video was conducted horribly, Vice. These topics are not light topics. The way you have these girls sitting is setting them up for a dysfunctional conversation. They have to be in a circle to see each others faces and make eye contact. The attitude comes from the disagreement but also from the disconnect. They arent face to face. They arent being held accountable to what they are saying because they are all facing the speaker, so they feel as if they only have to talk to the speaker. They are fighting for their opinions to be said to the speaker, not each other.

That's not a debate, that sounds more like an argument. Though both words are similar in meaning and are interchangeable they are very different. An argument is mostly passionate and comes from a place of anger, while debates are more formal and instead of emotion most of them rely on facts. When you start a debate you don't cut in all of a sudden (like the women in the video) You wait for your turn to give your points and listen to their side when they are speaking.
