One thing that you should do when changing an oil filter is wet it with fresh new oil before replacing it. In other words don't replace the new oil filter dry.

Funny though what is that red-white thread bracelet next to your watch. We have it in my country. We put it on the 1st of March. I hope you didn`t smear it with oil. Good luck otherwise.
Has anyone had any problems with the AC on these cars...??? I took mine to the dealer because I know, the air is not as cold as it should be.,..have to have it cranked up to the max and still don't get the cold air as expected.......(I only get that annoying noise...!!!) They claim to have done everything they can, recharge with gas, checked the lines, and their answer is that it is what it is....stuck a thermometer inside a vent, it read 40 deg...they say it is up to code or standard...anybody with the same experience...?? or a solution...??? It'd be greatly appreciated...
I purchase an oil filter from Mazda dealership, filter that came IS NOT WHAT THIS GUY SHOW YOU. i told them about the video we got here and he even look by my ID number of my vehicle and I got the one that have a inner screw in the middle, so I dunnot know where they got that one in the video. Different engine size have same filter according to Mazda dealer (Elite Mazda Gatineau quebec Canada)

There is a small drain plug on the bottom of the oil filter cover you can remove to drain the oil with less mess. Takes a 6mm hex socket to remove.
"Don't forget to put the oil cap on"

The dipstick in mine only read the last quart. So 4 qts read as zero, then adding oil would show up. Dont put to much oil in it.
Anyone know if the basics are the same if it's a CX9? Can't find a good video for the 9

I have the same problem and we have tried everything to fix it , next thing left to try is changing the filter

U always pull the dipstick clean it off n then put oil in otherwise it creates a vapor lock
