Hi I am working on my 2008 Mazda Cx7 because it through a p002 code the oil control valve so I tore off the valve cover and replaced it along with the new gaskets put it all back together and it’s still knocking a little from the bottom end but no light. If it is a bad rod bearing can I replace them from going up through the oil pan or what do you think it might be
yes putting back on can be troublesome. The passenger side of the oil pan is actually on the side and not the top of the pan to use gasket sealer. This makes it tricky.
Clean the mating surface with a plastic scraper and brake cleaner, applying a uniform bead of rtv along the surface, hand tighten the bolts, let set for an hour n torque to spec after. let set for 24hrs before operating. When aligning the gasket use studs to line the oil pan in place
Hello, good afternoon. I can ask you. that oil leak. It's what my car has and it takes smoke out of the exhaust. and more when I have it on without moving for more than 10 minutes and it begins to release white smoke. and it throws oil they did a cleaning of the engine some time ago and that caused more oil leakage today I put anti-milking and it seems to have not 100% results but if that work helps a little what is the price for the labor
Yeah the removal process seems pretty straight forward but in fact the not so easy part that has me scratch my head is the application of RTV and installation process.
Why wouldn't y'all show how to reinstall and how to run the silicone, how to refit and what order to put bolts back in and what torque specs to tighten them all down bc there is a proper order and procedure for these.
Hi , I have a CX-7 2.2 Diesel from 2011 and its different. I replace it with a second one , but because it didn't looked so good i painted it both sides . I used a polimeric paint (PEABAX TCE-A) with heat resistance up to 170 degrees Celsius . Do you think there is a problem with that ? thanks ;)
Thanks for the removal but why not put a video for the more important part which is the reinstallation process with gasket making. Having to squeeze the oil pan between the timing chain cover and transmission is surely a problem with fresh silicone applied. I'm not doing this job now, no way!

I have by the sensor crank as. 6 schrews in the oil pan
Can you remove the transmission oil pan and the engine oil pan as easily on the AWD model? Does that version have a transmission filter...

How did you put it back

@@Jossienheimer finally the answer after four years 😂🤣😂. How are you?

Is there an O ring on that tube? Did not see it...?
Yes ,it's a rubber o ring
It would be nice if you showed the process of putting it back together.
yep and gave what tools and torque specs in one video

its more like a cover very thin. The size is like both hands together (well , slightly bigger :) )
I have a 07 Cx7 and my engine sounds like a deisel engine ..... it is not Diesel and is a 2.3 ..... so you know why is this happening ?
Mine sounds like this too… and gets worse as the oil gets old.
Guys thank you very much! I thought that it should be gasket but in fact - no.
hi, tha car is 2.3 gasoline or diesel?

This have no gasket from OEM or someone removed it?
It uses RTV no rubber gasket
I was hoping you will do timing chain, head gasket and piston rings change but you didn't go too mechanical on this car i guess.
Is there a difference with turbo and four wheel drive
Nice OU hoodie
That's a 2.3 turbo oil pan
I have a 07 Cx7 ....the car
