    Great upload! Thanks for the review, I just scooped a db pro from a neighbor to try out. When I gave it back and thanked him he said “Merry Christmas” and let me keep it. I’m just learning some mods now. It’s a rad bit of kit indeed!

      This wasn’t the ideal surface for the lasernut, but overall I did enjoy the DB Pro more this drive. Lasernut prefers a loose surface and can do better in longer grass to run though vs the tenacity

      If you haven’t tried the DBpro on a clay track I can’t reccomend it enough. I was CRUSHING every slash 4x4 and senton, it’s like a mosquito on water! the stock DBpro tires hook up super well while still allowing a little rear end slide in tight turns. I preferred 2s at my track but it all depends on track layout, I just felt like 2s had enough acceleration and was easier to be consistent with jumps 😁

      @@netcruzer do it , i wanna see you break driveshafts on that shitty car.
      Its a DB Pro shoved onto a bigger body and wheels = bad news.
      Edit: DB Pro will eat it on all kinds of surfaces and tracks all day every day.

    Lasernut definitely seems out of its element on the pavement. A buddy has one and when we go bashing at the local quarry it always seems to do great over the rocks and sugar sand. I'm considering going for the db pro just because I sadly don't have many good off-road bashing areas near me these days

    I have Lasernut, too. DB Pro might be better, but I'm getting more attractive with big wheels and longer wheel bases. I roll Lasernut in the snow, use paddle tires, and enjoy various things.🤩

    Dang I recently picked up the Lasernut and now I'm 2nd guessing myself. I basically got it for the looks. I haven't driven it yet or taken it out of the box. Do you think I should return it and pick up the DB pro?

    • @netcruzer
      @netcruzer  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It does look better, but requires more tuning to make it safe and more fun. See my “you must do this…” video about the lasernut. I still own both. Can’t decide which I truly want to keep long term.

    • @Erikootje
      @Erikootje ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Duh, the lasernut sucks.
      It has the same drive set up as the DB, but everything is heavier and bigger = you will break it, just get the OG, the DB Pro.

    How comes the tenacity understeers soo much NetCrusier😏 is it to do with AVC it has and how could this understeering if it is that1 be eliminated for better
    Wicked video also I think the smaller one is better on the tarmac and the larger one for the dirt n grass if thick grass

    • @netcruzer
      @netcruzer  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They both had AVC on at aprox 20%. If you turn off AVC they will both oversteer and do spinouts. The DB Pro wildpeak tires also have TONS OF GRIP.. so it understeers more. At top speed both seem similar for pace, but rollout takes longer on Lasernut due to the bigger tires and more ballooning the fronts. A thicker center weight diff fliud can help with that. I'm keeping both for while longer and will make adjustments like that for improve both.

    • @Erikootje
      @Erikootje ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The smaller one will do just fine on dirt tracks, especially with his slimmer lighter body and with the right tires, it will eat that Lasernut.
      They are the same car underneath, but with different sizes.
      Why losi simply chose to swap over the DB internals to a Lasernut body is beyond me.
      Ow no its not, because its easy and lazy.
      TH-cam has tons of videos of broken driveshafts on Lasernuts.
      Its the most useless car they 'developed'
      Lazy rnd on the drive set up side, wich is the most important thing.
      More scaled look, yeah, so what if it drives like shit.

    Never tried a laser🥜 but i have to say, db pro is more stable. Owned about a year.
    There are issues with rear diff, servo and esc but overall well built rc. Never been tires came loose but wheels are busted. 3s/4s lipo tears down wheel hexes and alot of cracks around the wheels.
    Mine has vitavon aluminum diff housing, savox sc1258 tg servo, skyrc toro ts 150 competition esc with onboard wifi module and legendary xcelorin 2100kv motor.
    Now i ordered new diff gear sets and aluminum beadlock wheels.
    Cheers.

    I dont get you.
    You seem an avid rc racer with lots of knowledge, you race Teknos on tracks...and than you would consider selling the DB Pro for a Lasernut? 🤷‍♂️
    You even know that the Lasernut has the qame drive system as the DB Pro, EXACTLY the same, besides the motor.
    Same gears, same shafts, everything.
    But they put that set up in a 1/8 body, and put on even bigger wheels.
    Thats a recipe for disaster....because I dont know if you are aware of the many videos about broken driveshafts this Lasernut suffers from??
    The DB Pro has a fuckslow steering servo and they just took over that same shitty servo in the Lasernut as well.
    And you would favour the Lasernut knowing all of that?! HUH? 🤷‍♂️
    Dude, the video proved the DB Pro is superior.
    Hold on your Lasernut and you'll be spending on driveshafts.

    • @netcruzer
      @netcruzer  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You’re not wrong. Lasernut is more prone to breakages. And I have snapped axles on it. Still though, the longer wheelbase and larger tire and more scale body is appealing to me even though I know the DB pro is the “better” RC

    • @sawyerheslep8493
      @sawyerheslep8493 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@netcruzer I absolutely agree. Once you fix the steering issues and put in a better motor in (to help with cogging), it gets a fuck ton better. Besides, I find it to be more a scale basher. Plus vitavon driveshafts make it better.

    These are designed for dirt, not pavement. There is no point in this video, no way to answer which is more fun. Any street car would be more fun on pavement.

    I don't have the DB Pro, so I don't know if I'd like that better, but I get more than enough entertainment quality out of my Lasernut. Plus there's a hiking, and bike trail next to my favorite bashing site, and I get a lot of looks, and comments from people riding, and walking by.
    It's not unusual for someone going by to stop, and watch my Lasernut do it's thing, and get comments like, "That's a cool looking rig you got there." with some asking me where I got it, how much does it costs, etc...
    For me the Lasernut is more like a buggy/monster truck hybrid, than a straight buggy, with the best of both classes. It's fast, and nimble like a buggy, and a rugged basher like a monster truck. I've thought about getting the DB Pro also, but am having so much fun with my Lasernut, I haven't gotten the desire to pony up the extra dough for the DB Pro.
    While the DB Pro looks cool, it's not nearly as bad ass looking as the Lasernut is. Looking at the two side by side, the DB Pro looks kind of toy like, while the Lasernut looks like a serious piece of off road equipment.

    • @RUZTY1311
      @RUZTY1311 ปีที่แล้ว

      You're not wrong about the looks! I prefer the DB pro over the LN due to having more air control and being more nimble. I bash and jump pretty hard with my DB and its just handles it well. My buddy has a LN and after driving mine then it after it just didnt feel as fun 😅
