What a super tutorial. I've been sewing for 40 years and am known for not measuring so many of my projects. This is perfect for me! My hearing isn't always the best so I really appreciate that you speak so clearly and at a perfect speed to understand. Your tutorials are wonderful, Grammy would have approved! Thank you for sharing
What a wonderfully easy way to make these. I think you have the best speaking voice. You always sound so relaxed and that helps me a lot. Thank you for all of your tutorials. 💕
THANK YOU! This is a great method without a lot of fuss and makes me proud of the baby book/quilt to give to a family member. I'm no longer afraid of prairie points...lol ;)
Fabulous tutorial. I am making a tote bag for a swap in a group I'm in and one of the techniques is prairie point. I am a beginner and this tutorial is just for me. Thankyou for sharing.
What a fabulous idea! I just love learning great quilting tips that helps make projects easier - not only to make but to even consider making. Think I’ll look for some “book” fabric once lockdown has ended and stores are open again.
This video is exactly what I was looking for since I have never made prairie points. I am making a table runner then decided rather than binding, I would incorporate prairie points. Wow, no thinking for me, just using your excellent demonstration!
Okay Laura. Working on a baby quilt and you make this seem easy. I’m going to take the plunge!!! What I really like about your videos is you explain and show without dragging it out forever! So many quilting tutorials would take twice the time to get there. I really appreciate you!
I love love love this. Thank you so much for this video. Think I'll do some prairie points on the placemats I'm making. Your teaching makes me feel totally confident.
I love Prairie Points but hate math so I've only done them once. I've been thinking about trying them again and now I see this. Thank you. Prairie Points are definitely back in my future.
Another great tutorial! I have been quilting for over 22 years and still love learning new things! Thanks so much for this great prairie point method - I love making cloth books for my grandson and this will be my next project.
Starch will help the prairie points lay down 7:49, but nothing works better than using a tailors pressing clapper. I "made" one out of a scrap piece of wood from my garage. It's particleboard about 1x4x10. But you can use any wood or and size. Store bought ones are usually made of maple and have a comfortable shape, but my scrap of wood has been working fine for years and it really works for getting a nice crisp fold. ❤🌅🌵
This was a fantastic video, thank you for teaching me something new! This looks like a great method. I love how it evenly spaces the points which is always the trickiest part.
I can’t wait to try this out. With a 9 month old granddaughter and some panels and soft books already in my sewing room this is a perfect way to finish them. Love your videos.
I've said it before but I'll say it again... you're genius!!! I have a book to make and I'll be making prairie points this way. Thanks for linking the soft book video. So helpful.
Another wonderful tutorial and the best I’ve seen on making quick and easy prairie points. Your tutorials very clear very concise easy to understand. Thank you so much it’s always a joy to listen to your tutorials ❤️
Bought the panel & book panel! Can't wait to make them for my great-grandson's 1st birthday! Bought your book also & is suppose to be here on Thursday💓
This method for making Prairie Points is AMAZING! I love how you simplify otherwise tedious projects. I didn't want to fold the points separately or buy the ruler. I only want the points for a small baby quilt. Thank you. 😄
I love this method - so much of guessing is gone. I have purchased templates in the past and this is, by far, the best method! Excited for Prairie Points again!
Thank you. So cool. So ingenious! I never saw this method before. I like prairie points, bud never wanted the headache over spacing them out. This is great! 🥳
Thank you so much for this wonderful tutorial. I wanted a unique mug rug trim and this is it! And your instructing method is by far the best. Thank you for sharing your time and talent in all your tutorials... greatly appreciated!
You've done it again! I have a plastic template purchased at a trade show, but wow, this method is so much simpler. I especially like that you measure the length of the side of the project and it fits perfectly. Gosh, I'm gushing, but can see table runners galore as well as lot of other projects!!!!! Thanks so very much. :-)
Wow Laura....another great tutorial. I have never seen this method before and I love it. I have made quite a few project with prairie point, but the hard way. I can’t wait to try this way. Thank you so much for sharing.

Laura what a gorgeous idea, fabulous gift. I had to keep watching to see how it would come together for the reveal. Would I be right in thinking that it would use less fabric with this method than the squares u would hav to cut for a traditional method. Thank u Laura, u r always so good at helping all of us learn and give me the confidence to hav a go. Take care x
