  • Today we are Beach fishing w/ light gear, 15# braid/KastKing Kodiak 5000 and 1 oz buck tails. The important part about using lures for beach fishing is that you have the correct gear. In order to have success with using bucktails and jigs, and lures in general, you mustn't give up quickly. It may take a few trips to figure out how to really work the lure. Experiment with different retrievals, practice and cast many times to get a good feel for the lure. Once you learn, you WONT forget.
A big thank you to our sponsor KastKing!

    Great vid, as always 😁
In Australia and New Zealand (I'm from Melbourne in Victoria, Australia, but I now live in Wellington, NZ) these fish are called Gurnard.
They are a great eating fish!
The tail is all meat. Just be careful of the spines on the head.

Brendon and Erin, you should go try some areas in Volusia and Brevard counties in Florida. The jetties in New Smyrna, and Port Canaveral are awesome to fish in spring. You can also fish the Indian River and Mosquito Lagoon. I personally like to fish under lights at night this time of year. You can catch loads. I'm headed to FL myself within a week for some fishing with my Granddad and a buddy. Wish me luck.

Senko Skipper looking for Sharky III 5000 ( I would like to have a model up to 10 000 on that real) and I will pair it Ugly Stick GX2 because I'm looking for some heavy duty rod for now I can't find the rod from KastKing family. I'm usually a freshwater fisherman with target on huge trout/catfish/pike/carp. Saltwater is new ground for me and I'm limited with how much I can spend on. I've broke my favorite D. A. M trout/pike rod on saltwater when the huge sea bass or maybe even barracuda hit it and the second one someone stole it from me on the beach. So I think that best budget combo for me is KastKing Sharky III and Ugly Stik GX2. Already got a 25 and 80 lbs braid line from KastKing from my twitch.tv USA subscriber... :) can't wait to see your next video btw. Robin Fish have a better taste for me than a bluefish

I catch Sea Robin all the time here in Wellington, New Zealand (called Gurnard over here) and it's super tasty. Really easy to clean and de-skin as well. The supermarkets over here charge about $12.5 a pound for boneless skinless. So not far off in price from Salmon or other more desirable fish.

It has a silver or gold body and either a neon green or green heads I think there is more but the work like champs but make sure you use a steel leader about 12 inches it is my go to lure and catches good fish
