I’ve got the 50mm but it’s more like an 85mm on my Canon 80D. Great video! I need to get out and do some more street photography once the lockdown is lifted in the UK

Good shots with the 50mm f/1.8. I have the same lens, but have a dilemma.... I got great shots as well... but I'm wondering if the 50mm f/1.4 would give me even better shots(?) Ordered one (used)... it's on its way.

I've recently used the A+ set on my canon 7D mk2. It is an incredible user mode for street, tourism, travels. I can think only to the image like in a compact camera. I put on the 24mm pancake and... wow. I've better photos than the other more manual modes. It is not so easy to choice the right focusing point and setup when you're walking or in fast situations. So.. I think this mode is underrated from photography lovers... but it is great with the right lenses. Try the A+ smart scene mode.
I found your video very helpful. I have a Canon 7d mark ii with the 50mm f/1.8 lens. For street photography I've been using my Olympus oem 10 mark ii with a 20mm f/1.4mm prime lens. It produces pretty good results. After watching your video I'm going to give my Canon setup a try.
The 7D has a smaller sensor, so your 50mm will be closer to a 77mm

I'd recommend a 35mm to get a 50mm feel, or if you use 50mm it will be like 70mm due to the crop sensor

I put the Youngnou 50mm on my Nikon D5500 which is more like an 85mm for street portraits

Question, probably a dumb one lol but when doing videos like these do you edit the picture before you put it in the video? Or are these captured live?
My guess is Lightroom. It's pretty much what everyone uses.

What Mode you suggest for street photography with the 50mm STM. Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority or Manual ? What Mode you used in this video (if you remember )
Av works the best for me, since you don't have to fiddle with manual controls and you have finer control on DOF (which for me, matters more to my photography than shutter speed)

yep, you dont get shots like that straight out of cam (unless, you shoot jpeg). I worry about composition, exposure, and nailing the focus, and rest can be touched up. I like his shots, he has too eyes 🧐
