people will always confront you when you do street photography. even if you are not pointing camera at them they would think that you are taking a photo of them and start screeching.
Really appreciate how you explained your approach to taking photos and not being worried about what people think of you. I've always struggled with that when taking photos on the street or for events where I need to take photos of people. Thank you so much :)

The bits about approaching and taking photos of people is what I came to TH-cam for today. I’m very shy when it comes to shooting in public even when I’m not shooting people. Something I need to work on. Thanks for the vids man, big fan.
Maaan!!! Love your reflection! ❤ “get up, get out and go and shoot” I’m going to print that phrase on my camera room! Really. Sometimes I feel not to strong for dealing with the social pressure of walking around with a camera… enjoy the process, so true.
When I first starting photography everyone recommended my first lens to be 50mm 1.8, I really hate it cause is not wide enough( every beginner want to shot super wide pictures and knew nothing bout low light cause always crank up the ISO) as I moving on nifty fifty has become such a big help in the process learning about photography.
I made the mistake of watching this while eating. You tossed the camera in the air and I choked on my broccoli in horror of how badly that could have gone 😂 Always look forward to watching your content, very relaxing (except when you toss expensive babies in the air) and gorgeously composed and edited pics!
The 50 was one of my favorites on Sony, but my absolute go to lens was the 28mm f2. That is hands down the best street photo lens for E mount, and it's also cheap, and the build quality is actually pretty nice, better than the 50. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed. 😉
When it comes to the framing, I used to do it as well, white frames, 3 horizontal posts then 3 vertical posts. I don't anymore. I use mainly a 4x5 crop and roll I tout that way, just provides this cool seamless look in my feed now.
Big up for talking about the anxiety associated with street photography! What you said is useful for me - sure, people will think you're weird but who cares, it's just a momentary thought.
Literally just bought this Lens to acompany my Optical Wander Creator Bundle that I purchased. Really want to try out some street stuff which is not what I usually take photos of. Looking forward to this weekend as it arrives tomorrow. Happy days. ;)
I'm at minute 9:30 and I wonder how you soon in to get the focus on the mirror of the motor cycle. Is dat because of the lens? I'm a beginner and I have a Sony a6400 with a 16 to 55mm lens, but idk how to do what you just did
what camera would you recommend for a first photography camera? Im wanting to start getting into photography with a dedicated camera however I have no clue where to start. I used a friends Sony camera which i loved but its more than I want to spend right now as a first camera. I think it was one of the Sony a7 cameras he has. I was thinking of going for a cheaper sony camera and that way I could use the lenses I buy still when I eventually upgrade. I love low light photos but not sure if thats something that will have to wait till i get a higher end camera. Any recommendations?
i think you are using gopro for your pov video? does it ever over heat? if it does are you getting around it by taking a break instead of taking a one long video recording?
Just what I needed I've used the 50mm for a while and going London to do some street photography and was having my doubts but definitely don't have any more, great video.
7:14 I've wanted to tell that you actually in some countries would be vaunted for it, especially when you are so close to some people like woth taxi driver. I did today session also, 3h of pure 600 street rain photos and after rain. I wasn't too close to people cause there people are quite aggressive. On the day you can see few peoples who will say it too you but the best thing you can put some vibes on and shoot. You will not have to worry about what you do. This is my advice for some people who didn't used to it and feel sometimes awkward like me.

You are really creative But if I have a budget camera like Nikon 5300D in addition to the 50mm lens. Can I get a picture like this or close, or does it depend more on the camera?
