Ugh, the double crafting of an item hurts so much!! I wish there was an un-craft option within a few minutes of crafting something to prevent wasting resources. Either that, or a confirmation of crafting armor/weapons that are already in your inventory. I know it looks goofy, but I like to run a mix of armor for doing melee. As soon as I get into the Swamp, I'll make the Root Vest and max that out. Then, I'll use which ever is the strongest heavy helmet for the biome I'm in. For the pants, I'll make the Fenris ones and max them out too. I'll wear this combo till the Ashlands, because it gives you a middle amount of armor compared to a full light armor set due to the heavy helmet, pierce resistance from the root vest so archers, deathsquitos, spear fulings, and most attacks from the bugs and ticks are seriously diminished, and a little bit of speed from the Fenris pants. I know the Root vest is weak to fire, so I always keep fire resist potions on me and pop those anytime I'm near fire flingers - fuling shamans, Yag, and Gjalls. This all goes out the window in the Ashlands since everything hits so hard and so fast, but it's a great armor set until then. I look forward to seeing how you progress with mage gear.
Yeah that double crafting thing is pain in the ass i did it 2 times that day just wasted my eitr on something that i don't need. And i do like ur idea of hybrid armour set, i always say play the game like you want to play it no need to stick with something that you won't like combine stuff as you see fit.
ever since I got my fenris armor I never took it off event at ashland .(did wash it from time to time, don't want it to be stinky ) paired it with staff of protect(bubbleboy). and I'll be zooming , shielding up my fellow viking & my skeles. and dashing out to lure them out/in to the fight. it's also a great armor to scout around.
I used the porcupine in the mistlands but my mace skill was in the 80s so that makes all the difference in the end. You did a lot of dying recently so whatever you you've gotten that skill to likely isn't as good as it was before you switched to your hammer. It might be worth using that again if the skill is higher
@@ProfessionalMage i figured you'd speed run that goal lol the game is so much more enjoyable with magic. One could argue it's cuz they need to balance it better for the other weapons but I say they had their time then entire game lol magics in the house now xD

Dawg pre magic mistlands are painful. Then i got magic. Then i got trollstav in ashlands. Ashlands boss was a joke, the queen was easy but took 40 minutes with the constant seeker swarming
No need to tell me twice i know i say this alot but it is interesting to me that one player can beat all the bosses at the same time with magic. Hey Mage Doing my first mage playthrough and I'm struggling. What foods do I eat in mistlands? One eitr-food? Two? What other foods do I consider. I feel like my stats and defense is comparatively weak to every other playthrough I've had.
@@HOBIXpl If you ask Mage he'll say all Eitr food but I personally do two Eitr and one stam cuz I'm a hoppity little mage that stands on things to avoid getting hit lol It really depends on your play style tho.
So what you can do is like me use all Eitr food an you will be a PURE MAGE no non Eitr BS. You can also use one stamina food bcs you will get the staff of protection which is ur armour basically. That staff will drain lots of ur health in the start but when u level blood magic not as much. But keep this in mind no matter that people say to you when you get to ashlands and get the mage gear there you cal also use full eitr food. The mage calss can take all of valheims bosses at the same time (i know bcs i did that and i fought armies of monsters with full eitr food) so yeah. No matter what you choose it is a strong class i just like to have all the Eitr i can for maximum damage output. I made a guide it is my first video ever you can check it out for the ashlands mage i demonstrated some foods and how to play with it so you don't die. This all is much but when u get used ti the class you are the strongest thing in the game no matter the food you will have little stamina and health but enough for you to kick some serious ass no matter the oponent and the number of them. Conclusion is all eitr food pure mage or one stamina no so pure but fine still you dont need that much stamina as a mage as i said it is strong without it you atack with eitr here not with stamina you migh die first few times untill u get the grasp of it but when you do bby you are unstopable. Well if they don't wanna listen that is fine but it not fine to unironically complain about their performance despite them not listening. But i can see why some people just quit valheim it can be frustrating most of the times.
