You should play with Therzies Mod Wizardry. Currently doing my 2nd modded playthru with Wizardry and Jewelcrafting. I started as a mage in the black forest. And by the end I made Ashlands my little bitxh.

Recommend using the Black Metal Atgeir. Removes ticks very effectively.

I rock the exact same drip but with the black Linen Cape for extra blackness i guess? Cant wait to reach Ashlands to try the Drip with the movspeed cape and the potion..

I always run a mod to completely disable the mist. It's one of those things that in theory sounds good but the mist in practice is very stupid. The mist lands are a pretty biome but you would never know because of the mist. And the fact the mist takes a decent about of horse power to run it makes even less sense. And news flash not having the most doesn't make the mist lands easy. It's still hard.

Dont forget to chop down your stumps from the trees, they cause a lot of lag when you have a lot of them

If your not bothered by *cheating* cough cough muleing, i have a couple mod suggestions. HUD Compass: it give you a compass on your screen and will show markers for pins on your as well as marking all portals you've made. Plant everything: it allows you to plant berry bushes along with other pickable resources and even different color trees. Report card: it shows your stats for each character you make including showing percentages of how much of your world you've explored. I would also consider carrying more weapons with you, I typically carry a bow and a shield and 3 melee weapons with me to cover all of the weaknesses that your enemies can have.

When it comes to mistlands, the only way I can stomach it solo is with mods. It only takes a few but they make a massive difference in my enjoyment of the biome. Hopefully when they release the game in 1.0 they go back and add more mechanics to the game that make the Mistlands more fun to explore and less like C&BT, like adding grappling hooks and overhauling the swimming, overhauling the games swimming systems would be perfect combined with the ocean biome update they're still planning to do likely after Deep North, perhaps they could even add diving for treasure and materials.

I think what you were running into in the Black Forest was the sun shape of meadows around 0.0 where I’d Black Forest try’s to spawn it like cookie cuts into the Black Forest to give you little tiny black forests. If you look at your seed map online and chance the view to biomes only it is a lot easier to see. Love the vid, I’m gonna watch the whole series❤

You might want to turn off camera shake in your accessibility settings for boss fights like that, I personally have it turned off completely

Use a fully upgraded Root Harnesk (from the Swamp), with fully upgraded Fenris legs and Fenris hood. use a fully upgraded Frostner, or a fully upgraded black metal Atgeir. The Catch with mistlands is the equipment you think is the best, isn't necessarily they best. The Root Harnesk cuts piercing damage by 50% and the Seekers First Two attacks are piercing damage. The Fenris Armor Legs, and hood give you The speed, and the Fire Resistance. Frostner give frost effect which slows the enemy down, the atgeir's special attack get's rid of the ticks latched on to you, and it possible to stun the seeker's. This should hold you though Mistlands till you get the new weapons.

I got onto Valhiem when Mistlands first came out. Took a long time to get there and it really did kill the mood for me. I would just start a new seed when i reached maxed plains. Had to power through for Ashlands.

Ngl u got me with that title. Played the mistlands update the last time and took a break since then, giving the devs some time but i think its time to return. I remember building a huge ahh haven on a beach in the mistlands with gates bc i had the raft mod installed, man that was challenge getting swarmed so often and defending my base from the highest walls i have ever made as a defense. ❤

Dawg pre magic mistlands are painful. Then i got magic. Then i got trollstav in ashlands. Ashlands boss was a joke, the queen was easy but took 40 minutes with the constant seeker swarming

I used the porcupine in the mistlands but my mace skill was in the 80s so that makes all the difference in the end. You did a lot of dying recently so whatever you you've gotten that skill to likely isn't as good as it was before you switched to your hammer. It might be worth using that again if the skill is higher <3

ive always been curious about players who play a game like valheim and are like "nope too hard i quit" if we speak about pre bog witch for the sake of argument; you need not but learn 3 core things to make the game easy 1, dodge roll 2, parry (moreso learning what you can and cant parry) 3, damage matchups the people who genuinely find this game to be difficult are the people who use full health food, main armor and a sword and a shield without reading anything, its always a sword and the round shield these people make the game difficult for themselves by just not reading if we assume they are too old or something to dodge roll in time or parry, surely they just go tower shield, sword, two stamina one health? its like they dont think i am a solo player, i have my solo world and a group world for my friends, i attempted the queen three times, all in different ways, the first i came very overprepared, all the mage stuff, weapons like the atgeir and hammer, potions, grenades it was somewhat lengthy, but easy the next, i wanted to challenge myself to beat her with just melee, i researched her damage match up briefly (a single google search), found the mistwalker would be the best, crafted it and went in with nothing but a feather cape, full stamina foods, stamina potions, poison resist potions, bonemass buff, a lot of tasty mead and an atgeir for ads (of course i had rested buff also) i did not record it but look up a speedrun of the queen and they use a similar setup, the mistwalker melts her, i didnt even need to reset the fight or go and get more stuff on my group world i brought my main character, and my friends didnt like it and cited my skills giving me an unfair advantage, which i thought was fair, so i made a new character i still did better than them because i knew damage match ups, i told them to look into them and explained thats why i seem to do so much damage, but they didnt learn

About to go into mistlands so im studying up. Honestly kinda scared. I have a group of 4 people on my server and we just beat the plains boss

Hey Mage Doing my first mage playthrough and I'm struggling. What foods do I eat in mistlands? One eitr-food? Two? What other foods do I consider. I feel like my stats and defense is comparatively weak to every other playthrough I've had.

If Mistlands doesnt make you cry, then ashlands certainly will

ever since I got my fenris armor I never took it off even at ashland . (did wash it from time to time, don't want it to be stinky ) paired it with staff of protection (bubbleboy). and I'll be zooming , shielding up my fellow viking & my skeles. and dashing out to lure them out/in to the fight. it's also a great armor to scout around.

Looking forward to seeing the fully armed and operational battlemage!

Hi, why don't you use Root Harnesk against the piercing damage in the Mistlands?

The mist is a pain😂 Was running around with wisp to find roots for a sap run on a server. Found a root, placed a workbench and a wisp torch, the fog get pushed back to reveal a gjall like 2m infront of me😂

Ugh, the double crafting of an item hurts so much!! I wish there was an un-craft option within a few minutes of crafting something to prevent wasting resources. Either that, or a confirmation of crafting armor/weapons that are already in your inventory. I know it looks goofy, but I like to run a mix of armor for doing melee. As soon as I get into the Swamp, I'll make the Root Vest and max that out. Then, I'll use which ever is the strongest heavy helmet for the biome I'm in. For the pants, I'll make the Fenris ones and max them out too. I'll wear this combo till the Ashlands, because it gives you a middle amount of armor compared to a full light armor set due to the heavy helmet, pierce resistance from the root vest so archers, deathsquitos, spear fulings, and most attacks from the bugs and ticks are seriously diminished, and a little bit of speed from the Fenris pants. I know the Root vest is weak to fire, so I always keep fire resist potions on me and pop those anytime I'm near fire flingers - fuling shamans, Yag, and Gjalls. This all goes out the window in the Ashlands since everything hits so hard and so fast, but it's a great armor set until then. I look forward to seeing how you progress with mage gear.

The Iron Mace is a great weapon against the golem to be fair. Parrying is critical though if you don't have Bonemass power available.

Future tips for anyone in the comments: Yoghurt dislikes frost. Turn him into ice cream. Well done on pushing through that dairy queen nightmare prof mage!

How to beat valheim: Bonemass power

You do, in fact, need the Deadraiser to raise your blood magic skill quickly (relatively speaking) so your staff of protection is worth a damn. There's a biiiiig difference between a 200hp shield and a 700hp shield... You dont use the Deadraiser in the Ashlands, you use it to prepare for the Ashlands. Well, to prepare yourself for the (rest of) Mistlands too, really. Its a good idea to be in mid running jump when you refresh/re-cast your shield when you can. Makes it harder for the critters to splat you in mid-cast.

I was killed by yagluth 5 times on my first play though and that was despite walking the shrine off with a hoe. That meteor shower is OP

I beat him during my first fight with him solo but his death explosion killed me off along side him so I had to portal back to get my stuff and his drops.

I've tried to solo fight Yag a couple times the normal way. It never works. I always end up doing the circle strafe cheese. You basically get him to a flat piece of land, run around him till you're aligned with his tail, then you just continually walk/sprint around him while hitting him. He'll continually try to turn around to face you, but you just stick to chasing/hitting his tail, which means he'll never attack. The silver knife is the best choice for this since your attacks are fast, there's spirit damage, and it doesn't slow you down when you have it equipped, unlike all other weapons.

God I love this game, imagine - if after they'll release valheim 1.0 they would do a similar game but in different mythology, like ancient Egypt? All of them gods as bosses? Bruh I'd play even if it's just a desert biome, but maybe a progression line based on building piramids and tamples and doing some story quests.. idk but Valheim sure did set a new standard for the genre of survival games

WHAT IS THIS timing. I beat this boss just yesterday! died only once my swords durability ran out.

So i havent seen magic in valheim yet. Like- never. And everytime you tell us that everything is easier with magic, like when you fought moder and said "if i had my mage gear i would be crushing you so easily" i wonder how magic looks and how powerful it actually is. ... And now i'm completely hyped to see the mage side of valheim for the first time in the next episodes :D

Always clear the area before the boss fight. 😅I diead two times first time fighting him though, it took so long time the first fire resistance stoped working and I forgot to take a new one, also a gang of night fulings turned up. 🥲

To parry and block successfully in this game you must have enough armor and health so when enemies break ur stance even tho u blocked it just means you dont have enough health and armor. So try eating better food ( baked lox pie, bread, wolf skewer)

It was so painful to watch you sliding down the mountain, no rested bonus, desperately trying to get up again 😅! Had a blast watching you cursing the melee fighting style again.
