i assumed the same thing: if true, this could be their way of off-loading pandemic submissions and may be mostly, if not all, junk slabs
All the certs from the pulls are newer than that though.

@@kaptanklutchIf you do it and by chance the machine has multiple rows to play, stick with one. The way Japan does it is the best card is the last card. Those usually have guaranteed hits, tho. The mall machine... prolly not, haha.
Seen a lot of dodgy vending machines about in malls recently. In Torrance, CA there is a vending machine selling fake pokemon gameboy cartridges, but it's not listed as replicas or anything like that
We had one that simply sold booster packs here in Atlanta at Mall of Georgia - also Kroger had the same booster pack machines. They're both no longer there and I'm not sure why. I know this is a lot different but figured I'd mention.
$50! These things are $50 for "guaranteed PSA 10" bulk cards. Besides the branded cardboard packaging, no way to indicate this is any kind of special anything.
Not sure if the "gambling bad" take should be applied here. Pokemon cards are, at its core, gambling.
With all the gambling addiction adjacent style individuals in the TCG scene, it's no surprise seeing these companies trying to capitalize on it.
That specific room at Cardparty had the absolute worst Wifi known to man - basically dial up service lol. We couldn't even get prices up for the vendors etc so I am not surprised all the footage is not 100%. Also...I was beside that booth with a lovely vendor we know and didn't take a photo of it or go to it at all lol but it was just a claw machine if I remember correctly.

That claw machine was def meant to not put out. I told the dude it can't reach the edges and he said they wont put em to where they can be got. I do claw machines alot. They were placed to where they were impossible to be got, packs were near impossible to get. They should just put cheap toys for kids to actually win as they dont care, they just want a toy lol

PSA was in the smallest room at Card Party tucked in a corner. Wasn't much to take pictures of in there. Really only had the little claw machine there

This isn't the first time I've heard of things like this with grading companies. I honestly don't know who to trust with their pricing anymore and it's kinda sad I miss my Beckett.
Can't be old unpaid stuff from the pandemic. Some are dated 2023. Find out where the machine is, contact the establishment saying you tried to get a card and the vending failed, you need to contact the owner of the machine. They'll know.
Talking about gambling. Buying a booster packs is gambling.

Grading companies shouldn't be selling cards for the same reasons TPCI doesn't touch the secondary market.
If that machine is official PSA, they're more stupid than I ever thought.

online gambling and physical gambling if they are even legal in the state its occuring are all regulated and file appropriate license's. However, lets just say you do a card break, and its for profit and the proceeds are not for charity its technically E-legal. The federal government see's it as an unlicensed pawn broker. Even worse, lets just say underage kids who arent even old enough to gamble are involved... i mean thats the big thing. Does that machine ask you to scan your license before taking a chance for a price?

Conflict of interest 100% if it is a PSA owned vending machine. I am guessing it is a group or a wealthy individual not affiliated with PSA using PSA's name to profit.

Courtyard is legit, lots of junk slabs tho.
They can make a grade7-9 slab reslab to psa10 and resell for profit....psa should not sell slab...there are independence issue and conflict of interest. ..
This being official seems less likely since it would taint there name after the years it took PSA & BGS to make there companies be the 2 most trusted even tho even PSA has had some scandals as of lately so really nothing would surprise me. I could see AGS & SGC possibly partnering with companies selling junk slabs as a gamble but PSA & BGS would be fools to get involved with this BS

@@RattlePokemon and its high IQ to make long drawn out 20 minute videos about shady stuff in the market you're in. Thats really going to bring more money into the hobby. Some repacks are actually better value then regular packs of cards because some singles get sold for way less than what itd take to pull them. But yea most repacks are definitely money grabs. Sometimes people don't know what they want so they like to get a surprise.
None of this is gambling, nothing has value, it a mystery product random to get a cool card or not, its not about getting a card of value.
Hard disagree but even if you want to go with that, they also shouldn't be grading and selling their own cards.

psa also had a partnership with courtyard so you should be criticizing both sides? Literally everything surround this "hobby" has odds and statistics that are paired to real world value. everything is a loot box, If these 3rd party companies have listed odd's associated with pulls or make it apparent what your return is I don't see an issue. It actually an issue when they use deceptive marketing to sell u junk slabs under the guise of Charizard psa 10 potential or any of those shams, but everything else morally I have no issue.
