@@Kelveron Bike is super, terribly, horribly and poorly ridden on the track start. That bike has a 0-60 MPH of 2.6 in it. A 0-100 MPH of about 4.6. A quarter mile of about 9.6 at 148 MPH.
@@Kelveronliterally just for cinematic suspense. I have a 2015 r1 which can literally do 0-100 mph is 4.8 secs and has made many an m140i look like it was stood still. This rider is clearly a good rider and it was dry so obviously was done on purpose 😂
In what world does the car lead into the first corner from a standing start 😂😂 I’ve ridden my share of 1000cc sports bikes, and I promise you, there is zero chance that bmw outruns that bike 0-100, they aren’t even close to close in acceleration
Give me a break - the bike would have been around the corner before the car had even got in to 2nd gear..... and that is ANY and EVERY BMW car. I mean, I know you have to 'stage' certain things to try add an least a small element of 'drama', but c'mon....... a HP4 against a poxy Beemer hatchback?? That's just taking the p1ss!
My 2004 zx6r leathered a bmw 135i from the lights, up to a 100mph and he was a good way behind me...the bmw would of smashed it if they weren't trying to make a programme
There are many videos which show that bikes slow down faster than cars due to being over a thousand kilograms lighter. Notice in this video the car uses electronics to stop and notice the bike doesn't downshift and hence does not utilise the engine braking. If it were in 3rd gear that would take forever to stop.
Well, sometimes the HP4 really has a mind on its own when it comes to electricity. That is true. But there is no way an M1 could come even near any acceleration. Cars DO mostly break better and yes maybe depending on the track the car might also have chances. But the fact is that for example, the launch control was not active at all as you could clearly hear. I do own the HP4 myself and I am also having a car with about 330HP and 2 liters which is also even. The fact is even if the HP4 is only THINKING about accelerating there is no chance... Even the RR kept up with the Chiron so I doubt that an HP4 would have any issues with an M1. And the time the bike came out it was even actually more than a race machine. It was for homologation build only. They are only allowed to use parts that are based on legal hardware for racing and this needs to be homologized. But this tech in the HP4 was new so they needed a certain number of units on the streets to have experience and be allowed to use it for racing. They later saw it was so nice that today so so many bikes have this.
My man 👨 had balls ⚽️ made of steel on that bike 🏍, how can that bike handle the weight of that mans balls ⚽️ ? Lmao 😂🤣 JK It was a great video ❤️👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻💪🏻🍺🍺😁
Would you prefer they said the car had better “braking performance” then as it can brake harder and with more stability than the bike? Surely that’s basically the same thing saying “better brakes” 🤷♂️ I mean you could say “oh but the brakes on the bike are more powerful but every time you use that power you lose control and come flying off the bike”. Doesn’t quite sound like the better option to me 🤷♂️
@@STEVIEBHOY I get what you’re saying that from a technical standpoint the bike should have superior stopping power due to the relative lightness of the bike but that’s useless if it’s not controllable. Like they said in the video, the rider is a profession racer and even he couldn’t make it stop any quicker than the car. No point having “superior” brakes if you can’t actually use them. In an emergency situation I’d prefer the vehicle which stops significantly sooner despite having “inferior” brakes over the one that has “superior” brakes but is still doing what looks to be 40+ mph at the point where the “lesser” vehicle stops.
@@STEVIEBHOY The whole point in a braking system is to stop the vehicle as safely and as quickly as possible, if the bike can’t do that then why does the car not have “better” brakes in your opinion when it’s performance in this test anyway is clearly superior?
As Clarkson showed many years ago, the bike may have the (weight) advantage on the straights, but in cornering, a car will always be more sure-footed. The slalom is something of a mismatch because of vehicle width…the bike can take a much straighter line.
there is absolutely no way this car can keep up on start with this bike, no way!
Well it didn't, did it?

Poxy BMW hatchback. You ever driven one? 😉
26 year old Chaz Davies... Bloody hell, how ancient is this!!! He only celebrated his WSB retirement race a couple of weeks ago!
Back when the 1 series was a great car and not a rebadged Mini. They really lost the plot nowadays
All we have left is the 2 coupé... it's a matter of time before BMW ruins that as well.
Car was always going win on braking, its got much wider tires and 4 of them. Simple physics ain't it.

Soooo... this bike is slower 0-100 then 5,1 sec. car?

A 2011 Ford F-150 stops better than my 2011 Yamaha R1.
How?
Then you need to grow some balls and pull the brakes on the R1 harder: it's the rider that's the issue here, not the Yamaha's.
Do you have the Internet? Rather than just shooting empty criticism from the hip, go see if it’s true.
Chaz Davis is not 25 he is 34 years young.
Did you notice the car reg? It’s 9 years old now…
but did he thro one in it
The car doesn't have better brakes....you just can't be as aggressive braking on a bike 👍

Who would have thought a vehicle with 4 braking systems rather than 2 would be better? VBH a vehicle jorno ahead of her time. Rubbish.
is there got other car driver? next time can ur change it?
